    Which source of x ray we use in both the Cases?

      We don't use any X-ray source here. We use electron beam of SEM/TEM. This electron beam when fall on sample, the characteristic X-rays are generated which we use for either EDS or WDS Analysis.

      In the video, the professor discussed that there is no X-ray source X-ray released as the electron occupies the nearest electron shell created when the electron displaces it from its position, and the energy is released in the form of an X-ray.
