Schools should have a class like this to help kids educate them, now a days theres a lot of violence that starts at this time of life😢
Teachers like youuuu would be amazing to have ❤🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Wouldn't that be nice! The sad thing is that most children wouldn't even listen to it unless it was already being taught in their homes, becoming part of their home culture. Social culture is supposed to be influenced by home cultures, not the other way around.
      Just an extra thought. :)

Thankyou @nicholeen for this video. I am 31 years old. I have 3 children and only since I began watching your chanel did I learn about disagreeing appropriately. I hope I can change things around in my family. I've never known disagreeing appropriately, I've only ever known hostile and fight mode. X

It's such an eye-opening skill, isn't it! I'm so glad you've discovered it and can now start using it!

The TSG lifestyle is so helpful. I know what I need to do and say in pretty much any situation now, I don’t have to figure it all out as I go. This has relieved such a burden for me. I know if I follow these principles I’ll be parenting correctly. I literally thank God in my prayers for Nicholeen and all she has taught me!

I'm so glad the scripts have helped you so much! They were a lifesaver for me when I was learning them with my foster children! And now they're just our way of life.

I'm so happy you've been making all these videos!! My husband and I are currently reading your book A House United, but we haven't gotten to the practical parts yet so these videos have been such a huge help!!

I really love the content of your videos. I saw you in a homeschool conference and I loved how you inspire me. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
PS: you should consider add “Spanish subtitles” to your videos. I would love to share this with my family but they are not bilingual.

    Hi
Aren’t all kids oppositional defiant? At least initially??

I wish this stuff worked on my kids. Mine are hopeless.

TSG isn't something that is forced on our children. It's something that we, as. parents, have to adopt first, THEN teach to our children. So, maybe try some of the skills yourself and see how it goes!

Oppositional kids don't want to listen to what we have to say...

They need skills. If they see they can get more of their way when they use better communication skills, they will change their habits. Of course habit breaking takes time.

In my toxic family ( I am sure it’s my bad parenting that got us here ) there is nothing such like dropping subject . They would scream being aggressive…. These sounds to idealistic to me

Hi..Does this includes Oppositional defiant children?

Yes. Most of my foster children had ODD. This is what worked to help them.
