9:12 Nine or Nineteen ? in manual they say 13nm also those washers at 6:41 the first goes thinner one and second solid, also bevel towards the gear not out side like you said
I suggest watch the disassembly video on this, this is a 1 owner bike and on this one the conical washer is installed the correct way. You model may be different to mine as there were small changes over the years. This is 1996 cw50 rs. And for the torque, again, on this bike 9 is correct, it’s aluminium so I wouldn’t over tighten this. Thanks for the comment.
@@Yoke. Mine is also 1996 :D Watch for "Transmission; Secondary Sheave - Yamaha CW50" IN 3 different service manuals they say that conical spring washer goes first then the thicker one that is flat.
I hope this clears it up, here it is : ie.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/3992048/cw50rs-booster-next-generation-4td1-1996-999-b/transmission Part number 3. This conical washer acts as a spring, reducing wear.
Hi, can you tell me how many teeth are on the stock Mbk and which ones did you changed for. Because I am playing with my scooter and I need more top speed. Thank you in advance
So have a look at the description of this video, th-cam.com/video/rGr3s41lNCk/w-d-xo.html . Now when your deciding on the ratio, you need to consider the power output of the bike, the kit I had on this was not very powerful. You would want to be in that 10hp range. Other wise maybe choose a different ratio. As mine is quite a jump.
I have a press here but most people won’t be set up so hence I tapped it with the hammer. This is hardened steel, so it didn’t even make a mark on the gear. But I would agree if you had cast iron or aluminium, I wouldn’t be going at it with a hammer.
So have a look at my disassembly video about 3 min in for more details: Gearbox disassembly on Yamaha MBK Spy 50 Minarelli engine th-cam.com/video/_XAgeHy_OiQ/w-d-xo.html, but yeah there is no flange or washer on the primary shaft that comes through the casing onto the clutch assembly. I hope that answers it. ie.fowlersparts.co.uk/parts/3990164/cw50rs-4va1-1995-999-a/transmission
@@Yoke. hi and thank you for your reply that’s goes a long way as many only want likes yes I’ve just did mine mate the one for clutch was easy with mullet hammer it’s the other one that I’m going to have to take garage but I willl measure it so goes into the new gearing same mill spec are you on insta
@@kayone8571 yeah if you can get a hydraulic press, it will take 10 seconds to do. You be mashing the gears with a hammer, even though they are made of tough stuff. Just mind those two washers, made sure they go back in
Nastynates garage Fine No I have to say that you don’t really notice it, they are a little louder when your slowing down. A little like an electric car but regen but nothing that stands out.
Nastynates garage Fine ah yeah, I would too. I like the fact that mine looks and sounds like a standard scooter. The malossi gears are nicely cut, so noise is only due to their shape.
Thank you for the videos! Awesome instruction for my Yamaha Why YH50 with Minarelli horizontal 2T
Really useful. No many around so informative. Thanks
Glad it helped you out, always make sure you check for small variations on different models but, it’s 99 % all the same on these bikes
@@Yoke. Or the seal that was on the gearbox. Can it be reinstalled or do I have to buy a new one?????????
Thankyou for this video dude it was really helpful 👍

That’s a big No No!! No hammer hitting when it comes to the gearing

Does the primary gear go right up to bearing

We’re the gears louder than normal ones
I put Doppler 15:50 gears in and they sounded like I had a bad bearing but I didn’t m, put the stock ones back in and they were fine

Mine sounded like it had a bad bearing when the performance gears were in so I just put the old ones back

Maybe I’ll try molossi gears
