In Spain we are so proud of Paco de Lucia and his art. Thanks for showing great respect to flamenco and his unbelievable skills and technique.
El mejor guitarrista de todos los tiempos .....El Mejor!!!!!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely!!!!!
As an andalusian born, this performance makes me cry every time I listen to it. This guy plays poetry with the guitar.
Le merveilleux PACO DE LUCIA !
‘’The guitar was made for this man to play it’’ ❤ 100% truth and beautifully stated 🤘
He was such an incredible legend that will go on to inspire many generations to come! I wish I would have known about him so much sooner! Such an incredible icon of not only Flamenco but the guitar in general!
I've followed and loved Paco's art for over 40 years, thank you for the respect you have shown towards him in your comments. He's a legend among flamenco and guitar enthusiasts.
Minera literally means "miner".Is a flamenco genre related with people who work in the mines. When there´s some lyrics they often speak of the tough life of the miners in Southeast Spain. It´s nice you reacted to this! Thank you!
That is very cool, I love learning about the history of songs and types of music! Spain is a beautiful country with a ton of history and deep heritage and culture. I love getting to learning more about it through its music especially when its Paco De Lucia! It is masterful and just simply incredible!!!
yeah..the simplicity of flamenco cante lyrics is so sympolic... minera is fandango..fandango is really amazing...this piece in particular in its agility matches letsay saint paul capriccito by Schopert... for the falestas here approach very deep human emotions; such emotion that one feels as he faces hard reality and harsh fate in patience and persistence
You´re right. This music really touches you deep inside.Flameco in its origins was the music of poor people in Andalusia, gypsy communities that were pursuit and opressed,so their music is the expression of those hard conditions even when uprempo rythms. It´s a way to sing and dance the blues away

You´re right, this music touches you deep inside.Flamenco started as the music of very humble people in Andalusia,Spain, often inside gypsy communities that through history suffered persecution and racism. Those people,as you say, surely knew about facing hard reality and harsh fate.Greetings from Spain!@@hussienmohammed2914
He was a gift to humanity
I'm a metalhead from Spain.
And it's a pleasure to see another metalhead enjoy with the great and unique Paco de Lucía.
He's the guitar, and the guitar is him.
Greetings! Paco is the most amazing guitarist I have ever seen!!! The guitar was made for him!!!
Best Guitarist ever. Rest in Peace Maestro
Many can mimic or play like Paco, technically and sounding or else, but noone can touch his expression !
Greetings!!! It is a joy to learn about such an iconic legend!
"My hands hurt just see him playing." Not only you my friend , not only you.
Never thought I would get a cramp in my hand just watching someone play!!! 😳😂
I had the privilege to meet him backstage back in 1995. Very soft spoken guy and his hands were soft and supple when I got to shake hands with him. I brought my homemade cajon with me and played it for him, he remarked “he makes it sing with his FOOT!” because I was using my left foot to change the pitch of the cajon. He was impressed and his cajon player started doing it the next night. Now it’s a pretty common technique. I figured it out through trial and error way back then. Paco was the real deal-loved playing and loved hearing innovative ideas. I was so glad to have met him and to be able to play a little cajon for him. He gave me an affirming nod and smile, and walked away. I later got him and his entire sextet to sign the cajons I made.
That is incredible you got to meet with him! I have seen Cajón's being used more and more in the past 10 years. A lot of street performers use them as well. I was thinking about making one myself and have actually been looking into how they are made...
@@TheKillogicEffect As a side note, Paco is recognized for bring the cajon to flamenco and into concert music. Practically "invented" it for the public after seen it played in Perú. So makes a lot of sense this interaction and his reaction.
I can understand why he is so beloved and cherished!
Gloria
Absolutely!!! Couldnt have said it better myself!
That left me speechless too 😂
Paco started playing since childhood. In some interview he has explained how tears rolled down his fice while watching other kids play in the street from his window. His father would keep him practicing after taking Paco out of school at the age of 8.At the age of 11 0r 12 he was recording along with his singer brother Pepe, and as a teenager traveled to the USA for some flamenco shows playing for a flamenco dancer. No wonder that in his 20es and early 30es he was a mature musician that impressed the whole world.
I am very proud about Paco was spanish but...i am fail, every human should be proud to share planet with him. Thanks for the reaction.
Absolutely!!!
Thank you for keeping Paco de Lucía 's music alive. I'm so lucky I was born at the same time he existed and like you said, he was filmed for us to enjoy years after... ❤
he was a humble genius. there are tons of deep emotion, not everybody can sense it. one feels like ripping your shirt off and jumping ship to a new world literally. From one of the 900 million people connected directly to this culture around the world, thanks for your reaction, you sound genuine.
I can see why he is such a legend, every time I see him I am in awe of his abilities! He truly is the master, the man the guitar was made for! I look forward to learning more about him and his music as well as Flamenco as a whole!
He couldn't read music , what make's it more amazing
Is the words of Manolo Sanlucar another contemporary of Paco “ Paco charms the people who don’t know his music and drives crazy the ones who understand it “ he s the best of the best.
That is a beautiful way to put it!
Absolutely!!!
Paco was not of this world; one of the greatest to ever pick up a guitar, regardless of style
He is just an alien. Its not human...
Hola.

From Spain
57 years old and metal lover
But also a fan of Paco de Lucia
1. In Paco de Lucia there is metal?
Of course there is
But there is also punk, pop, soul... on the basis of flamenco.
Paco is what he wants, when he wants and how he wants (Jaźz)
2. We forget, or we don't pay attention, to his work as a composer.
Great interpreter?
Yes...he is unique
But about his own work
He is a musician on another level
Paco is:
Great playing + passion
Great at composing
Great for his influence
He is a musician of musicians
Thanks for your sensitivity
Greetings to all
Greetings!! I can totally understand why he is so legendary!!!
It is impossible to do more with nylon and wood (he is a humble craftsman).
And above all he pays attention to his right hand.
There are many guitarists with his left hand but none with his right hand...that is the key.
¡Excelente!
Yes indeed, the more I see him the more I understand why he is so legendary! The guitar was made for him, he is indeed the master!
Such an incredible piece of work, just simply amazing!!!
CREO Q PACO TOCO ESA CANCION. PARA Q NADIE PUDIERA IMITARLO.
Yeah, I've been listening to Paco for 40 years. No, he doesn't become any less astounding. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. Maybe both.
Guitarra nivel Dios
Glad you heard minera❤.
with Paco, we dont pay mind to what he is doing in his hands, rather we enjoy the story he is telling us. Paco wished to be a singer, but his voice didnt help, so he decided to have strings instead of vocal cords... litterally he uses guitar as we use our throats. We dont look at how he play, or we just unconsiously envy him..and that is counter to what he intends for an outcome
Q.E.D
SIMPLEMENTE DON PACO DE LUCIA .THE BEST .🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Its some pretty incredible technique without a doubt!
Com Paco de Lucia nossa mente explode 😱🧠 🤯😎
Talento inexplicável inconcebível !! O homem não é desse universo !! 😅👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Excellent thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it ! We have been adding our Flamenco and Paco playlists and always looking for more incredible artists to add and show to more peoples ears!!!
we love you paco! forever

One of the best current Spanish guitar players, Vicente Amigo, said 'I saw Paco de Lucía when I was 3 years old, and I knew right away what I wanted to be'.
Vicente Amigo is a Grammy winner.
As you like to discover new music flavors, so to speak, I suggest you a video called 'Vicente Amigo y la Orquesta de Extremadura en el Festival de Flamenco y Fado de Badajoz 2023'.
Symphonic Flamenco. A pleasure for the senses, and a song that wouldn't be out of place in a Studio Ghibli movie. Cheers
His skills were mind-blowing, I love your reaction because you feel the same that everyone feels when discovers Paco
He is pretty mind blowing for sure! The more I see the more I understand why he is so legendary!
I am Portuguese American and a combat veteran. This was incredible. Thank Jesus for making these men that remind us that there is perfection and salvation, in the simplest of God expressions. Beautiful
Tha k You so much for another Paco’s master piece….the best guitarist of the history !Next time show us “La Barrosa”🤩🙏🏼😘
I can see why he is legendary! Thank you for the suggestion I will check that out!
Ole Macho Paquito siempre vivira siempreee OLEEEEE.
Great to see another metal head appreciate Paco. I have a cousin who really likes "metal" but has always supported and appreciated me and Flamenco. As a life long flamenco musician myself, I have "lived" Paco and thousands of other Flamenco most of my life. I appreciate most music genre's but Flamenco is my soul and this man WAS and still is the best. He is sorely missed in the Flamenco world and beyond. Thank you for recognizing and acknowledging Paco's amazing talent. Welcome to the fold...
It makes me feel lot beter to see someone else with true admiration & dumbfounded as i was&still am, back in 70's when i heard the Maestro first time.😲
in fla.enco music are a lot of styles...Paco is the grand chief of chords...i tell you another midern guitarrist : Tomatito (little tomato).
good bless you man!
Yes he is very incredible as well I have some from him in our Flamenco playlist! I'm looking forward to checking out more from him!
Thank you for the suggestion I really appreciate it and I will check it out!
thanks for this genuine reaction :)
My pleasure I can understand why he is so legendary and I am looking forward to hearing and learning more about him!
You have to listen to Friday night in San Francisco ….
Watching Paco along with Al di Meola and John McLaughlin is a special performance. 3 masters of the craft having fun and bouncing off each other.
Paco is the yardstick against which ALL flamenco players are measured. There is no one like him!
WOW, my brain explodes with delight listening to Paco play. Thank you so much for highlighting this amazing piece. I saw him play one year before he died, I’ve never seen an audience in such a wild frenzy. (Haha love the comment about the pinky.)
Highly recommend checking out other master flamenco guitarists, Tomatito, Manolo Sanlucar, Diego del Gastor…so many.
Thank GOD for Paco, Tomatito, Vicente, SanLucar, etc.
I have put a Paco and a Flamenco playlist together, please feel free to suggest anyone you think we should add
Thank you for sharing this with us...this Andalusian guitar legend was unique...my Spanish heart opens

Very well said!

Listen, the left hand, is impressive, to say the least. But I also saw footage from Django, playing with two fingers. But here's the CATCH: it is his RIGHT hand that has ALL the power. What he does with his right hand is just beyond perfection. It becomes a mid on its own. Put that with his leg hand following his RIGHT hand... well... he sits back and enjoys it. Check his body language. Right hand: boss. Left hand: follows. His brain? Just chilling.
I don’t see mention of the work Paco DeLucia did with Al DiMeola and John McLaughlin. The albums are Friday Night in San Francisco and Oassion, Grace and Fire. I think you might appreciate them. I think my favorite is probably Fantasia Suite, from Friday Night
Just did a video with all three performing not to long ago and was blown away!! I cant wait to dig into that show even more! Thank you for the suggestion I will check that out!
Bellisimo
This piece is my favorite and extremly difficult
This is some beyond incredible stuff with some crazy chord progressions going on, I couldnt even begin to approach this!
I can definitely understand why he is legendary and why he considered a national treasure! He will go on to inspire many generations of musicians!!!
Love your reactions, thanks for your channel
Thank you very much I really appreciate it!!! It is a pleasure, I never would have found artist like Paco if I wasnt following all the awesome suggestions!
👍
You have to be born into flamenco culture. Very rare to see someone from outside to perform with such talent. There is even competition between Spanish gipsys and Andalucion flamenco artists. Paco was Andalution and Cameron gipsy. Both ethnics respect each other. I don't think it is know how many centuries back flamenco came about. Obverall, brilliant. Flamenco can also be danced. Check Farruquito. Cheers
Yeah even the most technical of metals cant compete with this level of expertise! Thank you for the suggestion I will check that out!
The GOAT
Saw him on stage in Paris 2010
Sublime
he got that good without studying music theory xD
Well, you have to watch the old black and white videos of the 60s and 70s, the speed of his hands is electricity acoustics good
