I started working on a video in which i literally start by saying 'i will be glazing this game' but the more i played and worked on it and research i did and more stuff came out such as the interview with the assistant director etc, man i agree, there isnt that much reason to glaze the game at least at this current state, the game juggles between giving us old tdu dna features but also making it a dumbass always online mess but not focusing enough on both ends thus making newcomers unhappy with the online racing not being done right, and tdu hardcore fans (like me) unhappy with not enough dna. at least the map is good, graphics are ok and apparently have been optimized as this demo is a very early build.
Sorry for blowing up your comment section but yeah. Its crazy how a only moderately well known series' demo on one platform has worse server issues than any other online game even at launch.
I really hope your wrong to but it’s showing all the red flags for a failed game. The gaming industry and community as a whole is super guilty at settling for less. When you buy a cake you don’t want your icing 6months later. That’s if the cakes even fully baked. It’s really said I’m in desperate need for a open world car game, I love Forza but it has it flaws and the others really don’t appeal to me
I really noticed how bad it was when I was looking out from the hotel room and geometry was popping in and out all over the place and there weren't any cars or anything outside.
The Demo was the worst demo/open beta I have ever played in my life. Not even joking lol. Still it was actually still better than I thought it would be. Those first trailers and videos were terrible. The driving, sound and graphics to a much lesser extent were great. But I only saw two other people online, and only got to race one race because the servers literally never worked once for me in terms of a race working.
the game looks soo bad like some asset flip on unreal engine. the environment is also so bad. I hope this is far from the final design becuase this is straight up worse. they rather remake tdu1 or 2 instead of this.
I speak for the entire TDU community when I say that this man is voicing all of our exact concerns.
