@@JackW467 Yes, a very good follow up: the guys behind her are in that performance also a bit more in the limelight, the growling is a bit more deep even giving me the chills. Michael Akerfeld of Opeth is a singer that can also pull it of live, making me even admire this singing technique. If it's tastefully done especially in combination with a great clean voice I 'am really enjoying it. Another recommendation is the French frontrunner in metal ''Gojira": best live band there is and totally different in style.
Never was into growls or screaming either, until Jinjer. Tatiana's vocals are just more melodic and pleasing to my ears. And the musicianship is off the charts, both technically and song writing..
Good reaction. I recommend "Who is Gonna be the One" (Live, Napalm Records) to see the musicianship of the band. I think, however, you would really enjoy "I Speak Astronomy" (OMV). Make sure you access the lyrics because Tatiana's writing is quite poetic.
I agree with you, Tatiana does have a beautiful clean vocal. Should be brought up more. But obviously , her harsh vocals draw the most attention. When you do come back to Jinjer, Home Back is about war in their homeland, Ukraine, back in 2014.
Wallflower would probably be my suggestion for your next Jinjer track, as it has minimal growls in it. I think you would like I Speak Astronomy as well, maybe a 2nd suggestion. Once you're comfortable with the growl portion of lyrics, the door opens up more, as my favorites of Jinjer are Outlander(Live Kiev best band award), Cloud Factory(Live), Ape(OMV), Pit of Conscientiousness(Live), Vortex(OMV), Just Another(Live), On the Top...the list just keeps going from there.
@Robert Evans First of all, thank you very much; Wallflower was actually the first Jinjer song I made to the end! The growl was just within the frame I can cope with.Even though I'm a hardcore Nightwish fan, I'm certainly not going to be a metalhead anymore.
@@Kelsea-2002 Jinjer's songs Bad Water and Beggar's Dance have zero growls in them. Beggar's Dance is not even a metal track, but more like a playful jazz/pop blend where they took key lines of lyrics from all the other songs on the album, combined/arrange them to make the new lyrics, and then put a jazz/bossa nova tempo of instrumentals behind it. It is one of my favorite songs of theirs as it just demonstrates their creativity and talent. Bad Water instrumentally is a lot like their other songs prior to Macro album, and a good song on its own, but considering the genre they are mostly in, it probably doesn't have the same support from their fanbase as it wouldn't likely appeal to the average Jinjer fan, which admittedly is a huge swiping brush I just colored lots of people in, but I think the gist of it probably holds true. Songs like Perrinnal and Teacher Teacher also have low amounts of growls, but still, more than I speak Astronomy. Have fun and enjoy, eventually, the harsh vocals will be less of a distraction and the music around it will pop more to your ears, which is where Jinjer is incredible.
Tatiana’s harsh vocals will definitely grow on you especially her live performances and there is plenty when you get back to Jinjer.Who is gonna be the one live Napalm records has been mentioned alot and it’s great my favorite Pit of Consciousness live Kiev and Tatiana is very poetic as you noticed and a chameleon changing her looks often.Enjoying watching your journey 🤘🏼☮️
Excellent reaction! This is my favorite Jinjer song. I love you went over the lyrics. My second favorite song is Outlander (2014 )so that would be my next recommendation. Plus even though is not so heavy it's quite fast. Or you can also watch I Speak Astronomy.
Jinjer is great, I Speak Astronomy, Teacher, teacher and Vortex are another great songs. If you want something new, react to Awakening from Unleash the Archers! It's a canadian metal band, they mixed some metal style to became their own sound. All of the band members are pretty talented the songwriting the musicianship the vocals all of them are awesome.
Great reaction! I just discovered Jinjer about 8 months ago, and they've already become, next to Metallica, my favorite band ever. If you enjoy songs with more melodic singing along with the growling, I suggest Teacher Teacher, I Speak Astronomy, Outlander, Vortex, Pit of Consciousness, and Wallflower. Who is Gonna Be The One is a great song, but is mostly growling until the very end.
Oh wow, thank you for all the suggestions! I will definitely check those out. And that's cool that Metallica is your favorite band. They're one of my top faves too!
Great reaction. I can relate to your take on Jinjer. I wouldn't call myself a "Metal Head" and i've never been one that really ever appreciated growls/screams, but...when I heard Jinjer for the very first time, that all changed and I was hooked. I can appreciate the level of difficulty of the music that they guys put together as well as, Tati's wide vocal range on top of it all (Finding out how they developed their last album Wallflowers brought my appreciation to another level). As for a Jinjer follow-up, well you literally can't go wrong with any Jinjer song you pick, but I would recommend perhaps Teacher Teacher OMV or maybe Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev. More Jinjer please and thank you! 🤘🍻
Jinjer came up with another band called Infected Rain. They're from Moldova. They and Jinjer did a lot of touring of east Europe together in the early days. Lena "Scissorhands" is their vocalist. She features as guest vocalist in a ton of other artist's works. She too is a growler, a stunning professional model, and super intelligent (speaks six languages fluently, is a professional dog trainer and a vegan nutritionist). The band Seas On the Moon just released a new song last month featuring Lena on vocals. It's called "The Rule of 21".
don't be so shy. we all know the song already, we want to hear your thoughts. feel free to stop the video and tell us your impressions. that's what we're here for.
Another good female lead singer is Alyssa white glutz. Her current band is ARCH ENEMY but her previous band is the AGONIST. panophobia. Check it out u might like. But again if u wanna keep the JINJER ball rollin do i speak astronomy and on the top
It’s not live but their music video for my favorite Jinjer song “ Home Back” is amazing. I’d love it if you reacted to it, I think you’ll really enjoy it.
Not to distract from Jinjer but I saw someone had suggested Unleash the Archers but got the name wrong. Start with “Awakening”. Different style of metal than Jinjer but they are great as well and their lead vocalist goes by the name Britney Slayes. Enjoying your reactions. Cheers and new sub from West Texas!😎🤘🏻
Good reaction, there is always something very special in live performances, you can feel the energy from the band and the crowd, lyrics are very overlooked, but the rock/metal has some of the best lyrics across all music, a suggestion for a different band Architects - Impermanence Live at Abby Road for you to check out in the future, keep the good work Nikki
You never go wrong with a Jinjer song... Also: You probably like Spiritbox, too. Great vocals, different, but great. Same for the lyrics and instrumental skills. I would suggest one of their early stuff, that showed already all their potential. The Mara Effect live at Silverside Sound. Maybe their best live performance ever recorded. (Although their radio concert was cool, too.)
Good reaction! It's really cool to see people openning themselves to different styles. I suggest "Pit of Consciousness - live in Kiev" next. A hug from Brasil!
I got into growling a year ago too haha. It's definitely an acquired taste and takes time. But once you get used to it, it starts to sound really amazing 😁 And please check out Arch Enemy- Handshake With Hell 👏🏻
10:12 Great reaction, your face said it all! If you would like a change The Warning would be a very nice change for you! They’ve just finished a few gigs opening for Muse (which was something they really wanted to do, they’re all big fans of Muse). They’ve also not long released a new album which is just amazing! First track I would recommend is Evolve, not the Studio live the one where they are all dressed in white and the thumbnail is an eye.
Agree with The Warning! I do love Jinjer, and The Warning is definitely not metal, but I haven’t been this excited about a band in 20 years! EVOLVE is a great place to start! DISCIPLE is another great song (in fact, they don’t have a bad song). The Warning Army will show up droves! Great channel! Subbed
I think you would like Jingers song Teacher Teacher Official video. It's a fantastic blend of different vocal techniques/style and Tatiana's translations between beautiful clean vocals and grawls are seamless. Trust me check it out. The meaning behind the lyrics is very cool and relatable. Definitely have lyrics handy
Awesome Reaction! I was never really a fan of harsh vocals until I discovered Jinjer, Tatianas harsh vocals seem to my ear, easier to understand than most and they seem to place them at perfect places in the song. Add on top of that the crazy musicianship and her amazing clean vocals and you have a great band who truly do not have a bad song. Having met them several times, you are correct, genuine very cool down to earth people. I am glad you are enjoying your Jinjer journey!
Hi Nikki, as you like Tatiana then I think you should try Courtney who is the lead singer of a Canadian band called Spiritbox, to start I would listen to Circle With Me and Rules Of Nines ( one take vocal performances ) take care
The Jinjer rock'n rollercoaster is on track! As I come from the Netherlands, I recomment Dutch 'fairytale' gothic metal band Blackbriar, song 'Weakness and Lust'th-cam.com/video/dcNCIewWhBs/w-d-xo.html And up to discover Devin Townsend, Spiritbox, and other cool bands.
Jinjer are an awesome band, but honestly, your idea to remove them from the poll for the time being, is the only way other bands will have a chance of some airtime...also Nikki, seeing you enjoying a performance from a band I enjoy, actually feels pretty good...cool video
Thank you! I appreciate the support. 😊I will definitely come back to Jinjer but I definitely want to mix things up once I hit 3 songs of the same band in a row. I'm trying to get around to all the requests and please everyone but there are a lot of Jinjer fans I don't want to disappoint. So we will re-visit for sure.
I felt a disturbance in the MetalForce. As if a new Metalhead was born… …bitten by Tati. Again… 🤷 If you stick with Jinjer, it's just a matter of time and you will find yoursef diging more and more into distorted vocals in general. There's a wonderful and very diverse world in this rabbithole! I see most titles have already been suggested, so it's time to fasten your seatbelt and dive! 🤘🚀
Yes! My world was definitely rocked with this band. 😂 I'll be checking more of their music out in the future for sure. I really like the band themselves too, they just seem like a good group overall. 😁
I liked the lyrics, but I don't know why I didn't get good energy from this song. I feel you should be honest with your fans, we are not going to please everyone. Good luck
Teacher,Teacher! official video

My favorite performance is Pit of Consciousness live in Kyiv
i think i speak astronomy, alot of beautiful cleans in that one, just tryin to get you hooked ha ha, perennial is one of my favorites'
"Who is gonna to be the one" is another live performance that leaves no doubt! The ending is so unexpected.

She’s brutal then completely mellow

Happy to be here!! 😊🤘
