  • The tires for this tractor have been sitting in the shop for far too long. It’s finally time to get them out of the way! The old ones still hold air but there isn’t enough tread left. It’s mostly used for plowing snow and the tires spin in the chains without enough tread. The wheel weights make it too difficult to remove the wheel and change the tire like we usually do, so we tried it with the wheel still mounted!
This was exceptionally hard to swap since it’s so cold. The sidewall didn’t want to flex like it should have.
This tractor has had a lot of work done to it in the past. The fuel system has been cleaned from diesel tank to injectors. We rebuilt the Roosa Master Pump with a new gasket set due to the governor ring disintegrating. A roll pin was broken on the clutch so it wasn’t allowing the clutch to fully engage with the flywheel. There was another bad roll pin on the reverser and too much play in the bushings so it wouldn’t shift from forward to reverse either. Lots of issues but they all seem fixed now!
Make sure to like and subscribe to keep up on all of the projects going on!
As always, thanks for watching Tractor Roy!

The liquid rubber lubricant we usually use was freezing immediately when we were taking it off. We switched to a paste to put it back on. It still froze but was still much more helpful than the liquid was

This tire was a new one locally, that had been sitting around a while. I usually use amazon to find one with free shipping
