I have over a decade of experience at shipping commercially worldwide so this is what I can add… You can protect them from outside impact but the issue is internal. (It’s a physics thing) If they are even somewhat hollow, the shell itself is subject to caving in from the force of being dropped or flung as some packages are, even if nothing actually touches them. 1) Stuff them as full as you can for greater internal tension. 2) Make the shells you will be shipping just a tad bit thicker. 3) Consider wrapping individually. 4) Use FRAGILE stickers on the box; it’s not a guarantee, but it will help. I’m planning on shipping some bombs to family this Xmas so this post was helpful in thinking it through and getting stuff prepared. Thx so much!
OMG!!!! I just came across your channel and I am THRILLED that you have become my #1. Your teaching style and the beautiful creations you come up with are DIVINE!! I have literally OD'd on your videos to learn all the tips and trips I need to start my backery business from my home. Like you, my state does not allow cheesecake to be sold, but the cheese cake bites you made to place in the waffle cones...........dare I say anymore. You have a new subby for life!!!! Thank you!
I’m sure they were super grateful to receive this. You are an amazingly talented lady! I’m just loving all of your videos. I haven’t started yet, still learning. But, I’ll get there. Thanks so much 🌺
What I did was wrapped them individually in like the small foil and packaged it just like you did and it . And like you said stuffed the boxed on both sides and put it in the middle or a box that fits and it turned out great . I did the wrapped just in case it broke it would be in the foil not every where else
Thank you so much for doing this video! I actually shipped 4 last week and the same thing happened...only one broke and the hot chocolate was all over the place. I was so disappointed because they looked great before they left. I bubble wrapped and everything. There has to he a way because cup cake companies ship all the time!!
I individually double wrapped my Bombs in plastic wrap and placed them in a box with crinkle packing paper. Then I bubble wrapped the outside of the box, placed the bubble wrapped box in the bubbled envelope with tissue paper on the inside for extra cushion 😂😂😂 oh! and two ice packs 😂😂😂 I went super overboard 😂😂😂
I used to work as the decorator in a grocery store bakery and if a customer asked, we could give a few or even ring up a bunch of packaging containers for them. 🥳
If you individually wrap then with sandwiche bag. Then put in plastic cupcake hold. That way if one does break it will not get all over the rest of the bombs. Just a thought
If you don’t ship you bombs how do you get them to people who buy them? Might I add that it would be a good idea to individually wrap each bomb so that if one breaks the contents stay in the packaging it is in and not all over the rest. Also, you didn’t take into account for the weather. If it’s hot where you are sending them, they will MELT 🥵 Which is a whole other problem 🤔 I know this because I have done this before. I find that if it’s packaged with dry ice it keeps them from melting and the dry ice evaporates as it melts. So there is a tip for your viewers on shipping anything perishable. Thank you for going through all of this to show the process, Great video 😁👍
Could you PLEASE do a video on the weight of each bomb how much chocolate and powder to use and what everything weight. You could use shredded paper like Easter grass
I put each bomb into its’ own sandwich bag, then inside a cupcake container, surrounded by marshmallows. Wrapped in Saran Wrap and bubble wrap. Haven’t had any packaged this way, break on me.
Thank You so much !!! I'm SO worried because of heat more than they could break! We're I live we still having very sunny days and warm weather on day time.
You could use a Food Saver shrink wrapper to wrap them individually. Leave just enough air so that they don't get crushed. Then, fill the box with foam peanuts. Or cellophane bags cut down and each individual one sealed with a decorative sticker.
Thank you so much!! I used this kind www.amazon.com/dp/B07T57SD3N/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_glt_fabc_P47VSB8MZC7TW2VNQC9S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ml2&tag=thestationbak-20
Putting padding on the top and bottom would have helped like you said and also putting each bomb in is own individual treat bag would have helped too. This way if one breaks, it’s contents would have been contained.
I just shipped some to my sister’s friend and I wrapped them individually in treat bags and put them in a cupcake box holding them in place, taped the box shut, bubble wrapped the box, put the box inside another sturdier box, bubble wrapped that one and put it in the shipping box, overnight shipped them and 6 of them somehow still broke. I don’t typically ship stuff and this is why but if you find a solution, please share!!
Wow! I think it’s possible there could have been too much wiggle room or something was too tight on it. I don’t ship either but if I learn something new I’ll be sure to share!
Do you think maybe wrapping each one in Saran Wrap or cello bag then placing in cupcake holder would be safer? Because I plan on shipping to friends n fam. Trying to figure out my plans. I was even thinking of those plastic cylinder tubes ? I’m stumped. I def don’t want mine rolling around inside a plastic container too big. But I thought you wrapped you wrapped yours well. I was saying to myself as you put the trash bags inside- put em on either side! Lol. Fun vid. Ty so much for sharing w us. You’re really fun to watch! I’ve learned so much thanks to you. Do you have a brick & mortar shop or online only?
Yes! I definitely believe wrapping each one would have helped a lot more! They were in there pretty snug but I guess there was still some room for them move and I knew I should have put it on both sides but I was hopeful lol. I like the idea of the cylinders. I think they could save on space too. Thank you so much for watching my videos and being here with me!
Only two choices seem clear, 1) keep them cold, w/dry ice, etc 2) create a chocolate with a much higher melting point. If you go with ice, seal carefully to manage condensation. Raising the melting point will CHANGE the consumption experience. (I don't know the exact techniques)
May I ask how do you get the dark and milk chocolate ones to not deflate after pulling them out the molds? My white chocolate do amazing but milk is so hard
I will be making near Denton Corinth lewisville Corinth Decatur Sanger McKinney if you guys lived near this city’s in Texas hit me up I making peppermint, mocha, milk cholocate, dark chocolate, strawberry chocolate, and pumpkin chocolate flavor and making candy candy cane flavor
Hey there! Normally they will last for a few weeks. Traveling for a few weeks I’m not really sure. There are so many factors you have to consider like temperature during its journey, do you have any other ingredients in them that might not hold up? Etc.
I wanna know how 🙋♀️ I can't thank you enough for sharing your shipping experience. Ooooo.... The effort just so you could answer our curiosity! I love it! 😊💕💕💕
Couldn't you just wrap each one in a 6 by 6 sheet of colored foil but you can get from Country Kitchen sweetart? And then put them in your plastic and then wrap them with the plastic? I think they would look pretty. Maybe even putting some kind of sticker on them
I have something similar being shipped to me and its been through 4 USPS hubs and should arrive tomorrow. Hope they survive the heat of the vehicle and being tossed around the truck 😭

Thank you for these tips.
Trial and error is a part of the creative process. Thank you for this!! Keep growing Queen
Yes!! I love this comment. Thank you so much!!
I just shipped like 20 from Say it With a Cupcake, used packing peanuts without dry ice and they all made it perfectly to their destination
Oh nice! Were they individually wrapped?
How much does it cost to ship it?
Your honestly is refreshing. Thanks for sharing and embarking on this journey with your viewers. Looking forward to learning new things from you!!!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate it!!

Some other people commented saying they individually wrap each one so if it does break, it won’t get everywhere!
Trying thing in many different ways is sometimes the only way to know how something will work or not work.

Came across your Tea Bomb video and been binging since! 😂. New subscriber here from Oklahoma City 🏙️
Hi 🙋🏽♀️ thank you so much!! I hope you enjoy my content. I’ll be adding more soon!
Can you provide a link to where you got the sturdy cupcake plastic container?
I used to work as the decorator in a grocery store bakery and if a customer asked, we could give a few or even ring up a bunch of packaging containers for them. 🥳

I put my bombs into there own poly bag and seal, that way if one breaks it doesn't effect the others as they are in bags 🙂
Great idea
Also package each bomb individually along with packing material on both sides.
Could you PLEASE do a video on the weight of each bomb how much chocolate and powder to use and what everything weight. You could use shredded paper like Easter grass
Hey! I actually have the weight and amounts I use for my hot cocoa bombs listed in my recipes on my Etsy shop: etsy.me/381S37B
I put each bomb into its’ own sandwich bag, then inside a cupcake container, surrounded by marshmallows. Wrapped in Saran Wrap and bubble wrap. Haven’t had any packaged this way, break on me.
That’s a great idea!
you could have wrapped each individually and put easter "grass" around it before packaging. I think you are wonderful!
That’s a great idea!! Thank you so much!
Try wraping them singly then do the total wrap. Try doing his and see how well it works.
I would get a box to leave at least 2 inches on all sides to pad all sides. Then wrap with large bubble wrap.
Thank You so much !!! I'm SO worried because of heat more than they could break! We're I live we still having very sunny days and warm weather on day time.
I feel you! Try doing a test run! Or add in some dry ice or something!
@@TheStationBakery thank You !!!
Thank you for this. I’m still nervous to ship. Maybe I’ll try it with family.
You’re welcome! Definitely do a test run! I would love to hear how it works out for you!
That's what i did as a test
Thank you 💕💕😩😩😩😩, i made some last Christmas and they broke I was so sad all my work 😫😫😫.
How do you store the bombs? I would like to make them in advance of when I need them.
You could use a Food Saver shrink wrapper to wrap them individually. Leave just enough air so that they don't get crushed. Then, fill the box with foam peanuts. Or cellophane bags cut down and each individual one sealed with a decorative sticker.
Love these ideas!!! That would have been perfect!

This work for you Thast s great idea I ship from Canadá to USA and i used ups place it
In a plastic container
I used let ups pack them for me , all the balls deflated , did not use cold packs .or special labels . Thanks for the information
Oh no!!
LOVE the content! Where did you get the cupcake carrier? looking for a sturdy case to ship cross country and I haven't had luck looking on amazon.

You’re so welcome!
Do you have a video where you address the cottage law and pH levels and water activity for cakes or breads.
I don’t but what a great topic!
@@TheStationBakery Yes please.🙂

I have 2 questions. How long did it take to ship, like how many days were they on the road & how much do you sell your bombs for? They look delicious!
It was supposed to be 1-2 days but took 3. I sell them for different prices!
It all depends on flavor and design. My holiday hot chocolate bombs will be a different price though. Still working it out!
Good morning! What do you sell the ones you ship for?
Do you think maybe wrapping each one in Saran Wrap or cello bag then placing in cupcake holder would be safer? Because I plan on shipping to friends n fam. Trying to figure out my plans. Oh and I’m online only!
My Choco Bombs are melting even when i decorate it. So how to deliver to customers without damage?????? Any ideas
It might be too warm where you are or you might not be letting them set long enough. It could also be the type of chocolate you are using.
Deflate? What kind of chocolate are you using? If you’re using chocolate chips, you have to temper them.
Can u do a reverse peanut butter bomb? I keep getting asked. But I can't find any recipes.
Love the idea! I’ll see what I can do.
Love your shirt!! I love your videos!! 👍🏽❤️
Thank you so much!!!! I have to get you one!
Or you could individually wrapped each one separate and then package them all together like you did
That’s a great idea!
Next time put the stuffing on both sides of the chocolate bombs package. I’d also think that wrapping each bomb individually would help too
Yes and yes!
Could they be wrapped individually with cling wrap or something? Then placed in container, then wrapped again?
Yes! This would have saved all my hard work from being ruined.
Love your shirt!!
Thank you so much!!
How long can they stay in the box? Like if it takes a few weeks to get to the destination will they be okay?
Hey there! Normally they will last for a few weeks. Traveling for a few weeks I’m not really sure. There are so many factors you have to consider like temperature during its journey, do you have any other ingredients in them that might not hold up? Etc.
smae things to hot tea bomb?
Great video! How much was the cost for that box without using the priority shipping?
The cost came out to $10.55 so it was much cheaper than the $15.05 for a medium box (that size wouldn’t have fit so I would have to get a larger box)
@@TheStationBakery thank you! Did you mark fragile on the box or anything special as well?
I forgot to ask what size is the box?
Where do I buy the stickers for the bomb directions? Thanks!

They are so high to ship
Yes they can be pricey
The way you packed it, I thought it would make it there perfectly. I was surprised that one broke. Good lesson. ❤️
I know 😫 me too!!
How much does it cost to ship it?
I believe it was $8-10.
