I think what works best for the camera skin is to install the top and bottom piece first and then use the same technique as the bottom skin for the camera.Have half of it on the paper and the other half sticking out. That way you can adjust it and make sure u have it aligned correctly

I think I know why dbrands trolled the camera skin part. I just got mine and installed it. The camera skin is actually wider than the case itself so trying to install the skin the way the rest of the instructions goes would not work. I more or less shoe horned the skin into the camera part of my phone but yea I think this is Dbrand being a troll and omitting the camera skin part because of manufacturing error

The corners bunching up is an issue....But you can always get rid of them with enough heat. The stuff shrinks when you heat it, which removes the excess material. Just apply more heat until they go away!
when i put the camera skin on and then the case, it scrunches up the camera skin because the case is so tight :(

Just applied mine (Pixel 7). A bit disappointed bc the camera skin is a couple mm short in height. Def does not look as nice/clean as shown in the video.

What a rip off. So much work and ppl aren't satisfied with the result. I wish I had not ordered it. 😅
Just had this installed on my Pixel 8 Pro, honestly not too happy with the results, all 4 corners are a mess of bunching up material, and you can even feel it on your palm. I would not buy it again for a phone with rounded corners. Also not to mention all sorts of dust and lint sticking to the edges of the vinyl, especially around the camera part, thats to be expected I guess. So I'd say good vinyl but I'd stick to using it only on big flat surfaces with no cut-outs. Like the back of a Macbook or something.

I got mine installed the only issue I noticed is no matter how many times I heat up and use the cloth the corners have little ridges. I'm going to put mine in a clear case anyways but it just sucks because it means I can't go caseless cause it'll rip off overtime

@@CarolinaCycloneJames Thank you for your reply. I agree. In my opinion it's a manufacturing error. They simply didn't adjust the skin properly to the curved edges.
I contacted them and they offered me a replacement. Not sure if I'm gonna take it though. For now I use a case which has proven good as the phone tends to be rather slippy otherwise. This was a problem I was hoping to fix with the skin in the first place.

same. I didn't buy dbrand I went with sopiguard (faster shipping) and it includes the camera skin but I don't see any reason to actually install it. I like the contrast between the top and bottom in orange (the color I chose) and the gunmetal camera visor.

Wont using the hair dryer melt the adhesive that allows the phone to be water resistant?
Super late, but for anyone else, the answer is no. The adhesive would just resolidify in the same position even if it did melt.

These skins are garbage. Got the leather one for my Pixel 8. Took over 2 weeks to arrive, and the adhesive on the skin is about as strong as painters tape. The edges never once stuck down. 1 hour after applying the they've all come unglued. This after using lots of heat from a heat gun and a plastic tool to smooth the edges over. Really wish companies would make phones with textured backs again so we didn't need crap like this.
This could have been a pictograph on the cardboard sleeve, this sucks as instructions.
Dbrand tries to be funny but they just come across as a snotty teenager who likes to be rude for no reason. Grow up. Don't skip steps. I wish there was a better company to buy slim phone protection from. One that doesn't support terrible businesses like Linus Waterblock Tips.

I love all the angry comments about skipping the camera bump skin install, it's hilarious.
Used to love their skins, but the current ones are just riding on the hype created by the old ones. not fitting properly, edges keeps peeling (pixel 8). Unless you plan to carry the hair dryer with you all the time, don't bother. And the camera skin doesn't even fit fully and accent sticks out on one side and perfect on the other. they lost my respect, last one i am buying. At least their tweets used to be funny, now its more like trolling because of the bad product.
How lame the video skips and was never fixed. Also selling a case with a sticker? I wanted a decorative case not a black case with a sticker
