I went through two major hurricanes in my life in Dominica. Hurricane David in 1979 Cat 5, and Maria in 2017 Cat 5. It was not easy. But prayer, love and unity mastered it all.

This could be a catastrophic for the the big island and the Grenadines. The mountainous, steep valleys will lead to an avalanche to mudslides, rocks and tsunami of water - the low-lying areas of populous and beautiful St Georges (the Capital) could get swept away, if not by the river, definitely by the sea.

It is the first CAT 4 hurricane to form in the month of June. It is also the earliest CAT 4 hurricane in history.

Its because during may-june-july we have tropical depressions or storms but hurricanes are likely to be seen until September-october-november specifically the disastrous ones . So yeah even for us, is quite alarming we are starting the season this way

a similar storm in the same time with the same size, could be entirely different, BECAUSE of that pressure. that pressure shows its ability to rebuild, strengthen, and withstand sheer. always watch the pressure. as a 17 yr floridian i wouldnt even worry if it never went below 1000 but here we are this things been tanking since its birth. beautiful storm.
