Where is the devastating effects? Thank God there wasn’t much damage after all the hype by the media smh
Most of this video was just showing a hotel
For a video about "devastating impacts" it seems to be lacking any devastating impacts. Saw some breezy rain though. Looked refreshing.
Look Marge, those fallen tree limbs are devastating
Trees fall all the time, which is normal especially during the Hurricane season. No Houses are washed away or Damaged like in Gilbert. No one killed, only ONE Person is washed away.

Not bad for an island hit by category 4 hurricane. We are waiting for the hit the continent in yucatán península this friday as category 2 or 1. Be safe. Cheers.

It's all lies and fear mongering. Just a little 60MPH storm. No hurricane

Gosh. Is that Balvenie, Mandeville in the first video? I used to live there years ago when I was based in Jamaica. I hope everyone is safe.
I think so. I heard Mandeville & Portland got hit pretty *HARD*
Devestating?
There is hardly any damages in Jamaica. The Media is blowing it out of Prorportion. We are lucky. The Media must get lost.
They had plenty of warnings.

The foreign reporters did not go down to the southern parts of the island where the hurricane EYE passed and where the damages were more severe. In the south, where it is flat, many areas heavy rains and tsunami type waves coming in from the ocean
@@jojoyah_1236 the wave you talking bout is called a storm surge. Tsunami is usually caused from earthquake activity in the ocean floor. Anyway hope you and your family fared well, Kingston did ok my family reported only mild wind and rain loss of power and some blocked roads from downed trees
@@JamaicanMeCrazy I SAID "tsunami type waves" I DID NOT SAY IT WAS A TSUNAMI.
Still no damages than God!
God never leave his elect to suffer, Jamaica is blessed and ok

Where's all the devestation?
As usual, Jamaicans laugh at the storm. Nothing seems to get them down. Lovindeer probably writing down some lyrics right now. Keep strong my people!

Jamaican English sounds a little like Irish English.
Yes it does! Imagine my surprise as a Jamaican when I visited Ireland for the first time and heard people there speaking EXACTLY like Jamaicans!
That is because the Irish had a big influence in Jamaica's history
@@Grogu-485 From what I understand, tons of Irish indentured servants and maybe prisoners were shipped off by the British to Jamaica in the 17th and 18th centuries. That would explain the Irish accent as well as the prevalence of Irish last names and Irish words in Jamaica. That would also explain why Jamaican cuisine features so many traditional Irish dishes like corned beef and cabbages, Irish moss, etc. I read somewhere that 25% of Jamaicans can claim Irish ancestry.
some trees down, cloth awnings blowing in the wind , where is the disaster
I didnt see it
Looks pretty good, dodged a bullet

@ThePapaupa12 Grow up. My wife is out there and there is no power in 65% of the island. Several roofs have blown off homes and buildings and some parts are even underwater. For once in your life act like a human being instead of a loser.

Still waiting to see the "devastating impacts" in Jamaica. It must be devastatingly disappointing for you since your big news story was devastated. Smh.
@DiRedGirl My wife is in Jamaica. They have no power and several roofs have blown off of homes and buildings. There is also quite a bit of flooding. For once in your life be a better human being and just pray for others.
Anticlimactic.... merchants joy in the end
@@mackjrbell7828 they should’ve shown that in this video instead of this
@Number1Camper Does it matter? People are suffering/still suffering. Like I said my wife went out there for a family reunion and there's no idea if they're okay because most of the island has no power. Maybe that was all the footage they could muster at the time. Grow up.
You have issues
I am a Jamaican living on Jamiacan, I am humbly asking you all to stop spreading fake news. What devastation are you talking about? You all need to stop it. Just general minor damages. Stop frightening people
@patricia2grant865 Hello, I'm glad all is well for you and others. I have a friend there, and the last time I spoke to him was on Wednesday when it was just strong winds during the day. However, I haven't heard from him since he lives near Iberstar Rose Hill resort. Do you know of the status in that area as if the power went out any flooding?
Uts the same way you people highlight the negative of a situation and show no light on the good. We are ok, alive well and going about our business. We were not batter nor devastated.
Mother nature's pissed off because man thinks he can predict the weather?
