So we are all just going to act like Tommy Lee Jones switching from his draw to a Spanish accent, to say “Argentina” correctly, isn’t mind-bendingly cool. What a guy!
So much more bizarre than staying in character for the entirety of shooting, is the way Tommy mentions “Sally” and “Steven” while discussing Mary Todd redecorating the White House. Tommy’s performance was spectacular!!! I’ve been hoping to find souch more information than there actually is on the interaction between Tommy and Daniel. But it seems to spoken about rarely, with nothing more than a line or two about an obvious mutual admiration. Gee...seems like they’d be buddies in real life, based on how “so much cooler than average humans” they both are!
I like that he pronounces Buenos Aires & Argentina in their native accent

Kind of funny that Jones was cast as Stephens when he looks some much like Andrew Johnson.
Would make a great film, the aftermath of the election down to the election of Grant. The actor playing Grant in this film continuing in the role with Jones as Johnson, and Strahan as Seward.

He could lighten up a bit more. It was the biggest movie of the year. He was nominated and he was working with arguably the best actor of the last century. I respect that he's quite reserved. But, he could at least appreciate that he's reached probably the biggest milestone of his career. Even DDL whose known for being a recluse is always in a great mood whenever he does an interview.
P.S. I know he is a superb actor and he should've won.
Tommy Lee Jones isn't someone to fake a good mood. He is actually in a good mood in this interview compared to many others. I’d rather someone be genuine than fake something just to make some random person happy.
Could they have found a better way to segue into each piece of the interview..fade, something. It's like 8th grade video interview.

..:What? His interviews were never the greatest and he's known to give interviewers a hard time. This is actually a really good one by him if you compare it to many others. Why should he be jealous of DDL? Both Tommy and Daniel have nothing to prove towards anyone, they've proven multiple times that they're superb actors.
This man was responsible for mayhem aboard the USS Missouri. But of course the media gives him a pass on that.

Good actor...but so depressed unenthusiastic in interviews. Probably wishes he played Lincoln...his jealousy of Daniel day Lewis is quite clear
