- YES, AT THE TIME I RECORDED THIS I KNEW THAT IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE PLAYED IN 60 SECONDS. YES I KNOW THIS SOUNDS HORRIBLE AT THIS TEMPO.
The best performance that I know of this piece in under a minute.... IS THIS ONE!!! ME! No cheating, No skipping repeat, very few wrong notes... (maybe 3 or 5) This is the REAL thing! Thanks for watching...
thank you Jeffery for helping me with the video! - เพลง
Okay, it was fast. BUT, I could clearly recognize the Minute Waltz. Clearly this guy has great piano skills, NO ONE CAN DENY.
Thank you!!... it was just a challenge eh . I would never perform it this way lol
it is indeed. not rushing and hit the right notes.
@Michael Makio he never left!!
He is unbelievable. What a talent bro!
I can!
i sped the video by 2x so it could be the 30 second waltz
e p i c c
it sounds absolutely horrible like this. i love it
When you turn it back to normal, everything sounds like the normal minut valse
So so smart
Why is everyone hating on this guy? Of course Chopin didn't intend it to be played in under a minute. It's annoying to see people comment that it's "too loud" or other nonsense, it's simply an entertaining challenge. Also if you're so jealous that you have to say "it's sped up" go fucking practice until you can play this fast, it's possible, many professional classical pianists can play faster than this.
What bugs me is not the concept of playing it fast. It is that he hypes it up so much and seems to be a very egocentric guy since, well, all of the "no recording tricks were used" and the applause at the end alongside with the timer and everything is not exactly a sign of someone having an healthy self-distance.
I'm sorry but I'm not getting any of that at all off this guy. Besides, what the fuck does it matter? So many great musicians are egocentric, I don't think this guy is. The timer and disclaimer are normal things I would expect to be put in this video.
AJ Adkins I disagree. I don't think he should have made such a big deal out of it.
AJ Adkins he is just bad. all the fell is gone. it was stupid.
Do you need to swear? Apologies if you have Tourettes or something.
I literally searched for "minute waltz played in a minute" and wasn't actually expecting to see someone doing it for real LOL, this is amazing.
i literally searched the same thing with the SAME WORDS: "minute waltz in a minute"!!
Meth is one hell of a drug.
Yeah, it makes you play awesome the piano.
That sucks. Don't do drugs!
Octavio12341000 it also butchers your vocabulary
***** well played 👏👏👏

It's not sped up. Look at his upper body while he plays rather than his hands. His blinking, jaw, head, and whole upper body don't seem to move too fast. You can't tell much by the hands because they have to move fast for you to play fast.
Justin S. I know. It's pretty damn impressive.
You could speed it up 15% and those things would still look normal so you can't ever be sure just from watching. Not that I'm saying it is sped up.
If you on purpose keep your body still and increase 20% the speed, nobody could tell. That’s why it’s a good think to keep a visible timer inside the shot for the skeptics.
@@andream.464 They piano's keys would bounce up much faster if it was sped up by allot and much slower if it was sped up a little.
Not accusing you of anything just pointing it out
Look up this piece on Wikipedia, and one important detail will be apparent. It is Not intended to be played this quickly
Here's an extract:
The piece is given the tempo marking Molto vivace. Although it has long been known as the "Minute" Waltz, its nickname was intended to mean "small" (pronounced my-newt') in the sense of a "miniature" waltz, given by its publisher.[2] Chopin did not intend for this waltz to be played in one minute
AGT audience and judges: *"AMMAAAAZING!!!!"*
tbh, this actually was very impressive if it was regarded as a challenge, but I bet that no pianist would ever try to play it like this
Exactly! Nor would I! Thanks for watching... :) I have another recording that is a better representation of how I would probably perform it...
when you take crack before your piano recital
LMAO LISTEN TO IT AT DOUBLE SPEED
Sounds like a printer with paper stuck inside 😂
I did that
30 second waltz
Sounds like Galaga
😂😂😂😂
Just remember...
If you can play it slow,
YOU CAN PLAY IT FAST
Ellis Miller LING LING 40 HOURS BABY
Twosetfan I see
Hey it’s “if u can play something slowly u can play something quickly” stupid
ahh yes
@@agastyaraul6710 shut the fuck up
IM CRYING THIS IS HILARIOUS THIS IS GREAT
Gaby Itzel Quirós yup, me too... how I found this video I'll never know.
This is great, there’s always the question floating around “ What if Chopin can really play it in a minute” and you have shown us the answer in the best possible way
Imagine a teacher playing this in the last minute of a test.
That would be so frikn stressfull
I'd just jump out the window
Wow, sounds like a cat that was run over by a car. Anyways congratulations.
Ah, Chopin. Be proud, sometimes..I just don't see how playing fast makes you a better pianist.
You can tell it was sped up because of the quick decay.
I would say the same thing to someone who is making that argument. Ludwig Van Beethoven
Amadi1 ?
Sorry that was meant for LVB
OH MY GOD. Mad respect dude!!!!. I hope you make it big one day!!!!!!
It's fake.
unknown user You're fake.
ConvictedAshes you killed me
savage dude
audi boi66 read what he said to my comment
"Chopin is the greatest of them all, for with the piano alone he discovered everything."
- Claude Debussy
The whimsical nature of the waltz by default makes this honestly so funny when it's played so fast 😂 seems like something you'd hear on an oldschool looney tunes bit.
Hahaaa thanks for listening!
Girl: How good are you with your fingers?
This guy: minute waltz in 57 seconds;)
I really enjoyed hearing this. A perfect example not of how it should be done, but of how it can be done. You've got mad chops, mate!
P.S., I wonder if people will ever stop claiming that it's my-newt Waltz, I don't think Chopin owned a newt at all...
It’s actually minute meaning tiny ,called waltz of the small dog (valse de la petite chienne)
@@gautambose there are multiple names for it, but English is not the only one that calls it 'Minute Waltz'
it's thought to come from Germany, where Minutenwalzer can only mean 'waltz of a minute'. it also has this name in Italian (Valzer di un minuto, 'Waltz of a minute')
No, this piece shouldn't be played like that. The only name Chopin gave it is Valse du petit chien, the Minute part comes because it's a really short piece, more like an exageration, but Chopin only talked about a dog when reffering to the name. It doesn't even make sense to play it like this since the piece demands rubato...
Anyway, not hating the pianist, he's really amazing and it's pretty impressive how he keep the melody clear at this speed, it's really cool but as a challenge, not as an examplde of how it should be done.
Pretty cool. I loved it when everyone in the room applauded you! Great job!
Good gag!
This is hilarious, I nearly laughed my head off, with tears rolling down my cheeks. So comical and funny!
That's how I felt the first time I listened to myself !!! 🤣🤣🤣
Nope mate, it wasn't comical neither funny. This guy is very talented and skilled. He deserves a credit for this.
@@star3ek well thats what we are doing
@@spget Do you mean criticizing and making fun of talented people? If so, I agree with you.
Lmao yet take offence on behalf of somebody who agrees with the statement? This is an absurd speed to play this piece at and the person playing agrees, it’s a fun challenge, and it’s funny to see how ridiculously fast he is playing
This is what speedrunning a piano piece looks like
"The thing you have to remember about critics is that they can't do it themselves" --John Cleese
This interpretation is a minute but not really minute, because of its technical struggle. I'd love to see a version that's both - it takes 60 seconds to perform, and it seems simple and happy. Great job on the technique though! I love your interpretation of the actual tempo too
Thanks for listening!
No matter how bad a day I’m having, this video has made me chuckle for years. To all those hating on it: yes it’s a mistranslation; yes it’s ridiculous; no it was never intended to be played at that speed; and you’re missing the point.
Great achievement, comedy video. Thanks
Haaaaa!!!! Thanks for sharing that!!!
I've given up... Don't waste your time, some people don't read. Thanks!
Chopin would be proud. Whatever interpretation, he was open to
WOW! That was amazingly impressive! Props to you for being able to play that so well under that tempo.
I'm absolutely blown away by this. Good for this guy.
To the people saying that it was way too fast and it sounded like constant noise:
*THAT'S THE POINT*
Pianist : Minute waltz??? How are we supposed to play this in a minute?
Chopin (and this guy) : yEs
that was not funny?
@@orsemcore yea that really wasnt funny 😐
@@eyelll4982 thank god someone agrees with me
@@orsemcore 24 other people don't agree with you. Feels bad
@@shah144 is this the person with a furry profile picture that i am speaking to?
Maybe, Chopin played it this way, that's why it's called minute waltz
No it is not, if you want the explanation - tell me and I will deliver it.
SwePianoholic it’s a joke
Its a dog waltz no minute
He certainly didn't, the original title of this piece wasn't the minute waltz, it was subtitled "valse du petit chien", or waltz of the puppy, the nickname "minute" was later applied to it, but it was never a reference to the amount of time one should take to play it, rather to its stature as being "minute" (pronounced my-nyoot), and this is a common misconception =)
searched for "Chopin - Minute Waltz but actually 1 minute", and I got what I was searching!
I accept that you went for the speed challenge and appriciate your hard work of practicing it over and over again to achieve your goal. Congrats and thanks for showing it! =)
Fantastic skill required to play this piece - even at a basic tempo - at this speed, it's insanity! Good job :).
I LOVE IT‼️, you're so talented
wow that's really impressive, hat's off to you. I would struggle to play this classic at normal speed let alone within a minute.
The fact he is still replying is amazing to me.
Thx lolllll
This is epic, the cheering at the end scared the shit out of me because I was still in trance of the epicness.
Chopin was inspired by seeing a small dog chasing his own tail, so it's a comical piece meant to have fun with. Bravo.
Fantastic exhibition of hand-eye co-ordination/skill. Must have taken a lot of practice. Beautiful work!
hahahaah this is too funny! Loved it, great job!
Mans is still hearting comments after 10 years. Mad respect dude ✊ ❤️
this was an emotional rollercoaster
This is hilarious, made my day :D
Wow amazing! There weren’t too many noticeable mistakes either so great job!
wow this is actually crazy! mad props dude
I feel like the minute waltz was some sort of challenge chopin put out to all his subscribers back in the day.
lol, was I the only one expecting a "just kidding, sped up %10000" at the end? This is insane
You did it... That's the best one out of all of these!
Wonderful!!
When you’re in danger of missing your train at King’s Cross Saint Pancras but you have to honour the request!
Brilliant!
This is ridiculous! I absolutely love it!
Bravo! Very few people know damn hard it is to become that damn good. Congratulations on a terrific, athletic achievement.
I love this!
This was completely astonishing!
The crowd applaudes cheerfully.
what a legend
Chopin would be proud of you bro
awesome work! so funn!!
When you procrastinate on ur essay
That was intense! Great job boo
That last chord was beautiful.
thats amazing
That was awesome.
Well done!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Outstanding; Chopin would laugh and say "Holy sh*t, I was only joking about the minute part!" Really well done!
thank you, I don't think I can live a life of piano playing without ever conquering that rhapsody. Soon!
Mad respect my friend. Amazing.
I listened to it at 2x speed
The 30 second waltz
AMAZING!
Great fun! What a feat!
When I was a student, I had a piano major as a roommate for 3 years. She was very talented. As I was packing my car with all my stuff, a stranger came rushing over and demanded, "Are you moving out?" I said I was (obviously) and she said, "No, you can't," and then she asked, "Are you the one who plays the piano?" I said I was not and she nodded and said, "That's all right then, you can go."
I have often wondered what she would have done if I had been the one who played.
XD its just so cool seeing the person doing that.
I don't know what's funnier to watch: This at half speed, or this at double speed.
Job well done!
Ryan Dunagin I think double
Epic! Bravo!
When I search for: minute waltz in a minute. I wanted it in a minute not 57 seconds. But honestly, as a classically trained pianist I can appreciate how tremendously hard this is. For me it’s more of a 4 minute waltz
haha... thanks for listening!
Respect the skills!
insane skills right there, i could still recognize the waltz even if it is done quickly!
Go gettem' -well done!!!!
Not sure if all the people slamming this performance are trolling or just slow. Obviously this guy has made his intentions very clear in playing the piece the way he has and demonstrated tremendous skill.
I tip my hat to you sir, you're fantastic.
Deserves WAY more views! You epic!
Bravo!!!
didn't like the colour of your cap but otherwise bravo..
LOL
Likewise, mate. What color do you think it would be more appropriate for this occasion?
+João Arthur Pithan Geleski . If i was a female i would say ' nude'
Because its black?
..because it’s black? XD
Wow impressive! Also I actually read the description and already knew that 😂
So many people hating.
Anyway I subscibed
Haha thanks

Woah that's amazing O.o
Now he needs to do the version in thirds in a minute. That should be fun.
Now, Der Ring des Nibelungen in 25 seconds for busy people like us.
Contact the Guinness Book of Records. In ten years we should have the world record down to 50 seconds.
Magic...
hahahahahahah omgosh awesome!!!!! I don't care if isn't supposed to be played that fast.... that's frikkin impressive!!!
My music teacher says Chopin was a bit crazy but this man blows him out of the water
I like it.
Oh. My. God.
Love it!
I dont imagine who would give a dislike to this video. I like it, first time I've heard it that fast as well. I was wondering whether the beat was constant, but don't mind me saying that.
Great job! I couldn’t do that in my dreams!
Man nice job. I think some commenters are just jealous!! Keep up the good (fast) work
