😂 I have videos in my coding playlist where I flip through page by page showing what I have written in my book. It’ll take a while but once you have it, you’re good! 😊

Hi interesting video. May I ask, what will you do with those codes? Will there be an app where you will enter those codes? Or you're just email it to somebody?

I have been waiting to see just this. I have Associates in Medical billing, Coding , and Transcription in 2015. Couldn’t get a job because they wanted someone with Expetience. My grades were phenomenal. Now I’m getting a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Management specializing in Gerontology. I need a job in the fields I went to school for. My professor is like my friend and she is telling me to do the certification. I took AACP exam didn’t pass, now she is telling me about Ahima… What is your advice?
It was very helpful to see where the ex is coming from and to watch the analysis. The one other thing I’m trying to understand is what you are looking for in the notes. I understood the one with the placenta, but otherwise I didn’t see where you were able to glean something helpful. Years ago I paid ER claims and had to read the notes for determining whether it was a legitimate emergency visit. Can you explain your purpose and what types of things you’re looking for when you’re skimming the record. Along with that, I have two more questions, is it just your experience where you’re getting your written notes from that are in your books, or did you learn those specifics in school? On the third case you had a J code in your book for the name of the medication (bc) the were removing. Do you use the medication code, as well?
When skiming through the note I’m looking for complications or things that are being addressed by the doctor. It’s kind of hard to explain without an example. Yes, my notes are from experience over the years. I didn’t go to school for medical coding. If the procedure was only for removal then I would not bill the J-code because they didn’t insert anything.
Is there a video that shows how to bill these coded medical documents? I am looking forward to starting a career in coding and billing and would like to see the whole process how the work is, thanks
What are the differences in only Medical Coding & Medical Billing & Coding? Is it important to get training in both if you are just starting out? My friend said it would be hard if I didn’t know the billing side of it.
Hello! I'm thinking of being a Medical Coder. Would you say that it could be easy (once you learn?) Also, how fast are you expected to work? Deadlines, at all? I am disabled and could be a Medical Coder from home, so I am wanting to know how fast I'll have to work. The realistic assignments I took in Health Science class were fairly easy (looking for the codes, is what we did!) and it didn't take long for me.
Yes, it definitely gets easier the more you do it. The speed would depend on what you’re coding. For example office procedures I can do 1 of those under 2-3 min (iud insertion) but an outpatient operative surgery could take 10 minutes. So it all just depends, plus your employer would set your quota.
Not sure if you are able to help with this question but I’m thinking about doing an online course to be a coder. I currently live in Canada and plan on getting a job in the US but working remotely in Canada. Do you know if that is allowed. Do I have to be a US citizen?
Hi! Was it an IUD removal or a Nexplanon removal? If I chose 11892 I with Z30.46 then they removed the device in her arm. IUDs are removed vaginally. I didn’t rewatch the video but those are the differences.

What are the differences in only Medical Coding & Medical Billing & Coding? Is it important to get training in both if you are just starting out? My friend said it would be hard if I didn’t know the billing side of it.
Haaa
Just starting out. Why was the codes for the IUD removal not Z30.432 and 58301?
Just trying to understand the difference. Thank you!
Hi! Was it an IUD removal or a Nexplanon removal? If I chose 11892 I with Z30.46 then they removed the device in her arm. IUDs are removed vaginally. I didn’t rewatch the video but those are the differences.
