Goggles?!?! Hell yea man. Tho if I'm being honest, it would be hella great if the OpenIPC Goggles had an external HDMI input and an external AV input, that way it could be more universal and more appealing to many people. I love the direction OpenIPC is going, wish I could buy the air units (country customs laws don't allow it rn), but I definitely think the goggles shouldn't be OpenIPC only i.e. no external input. Having an external input would pull more people to the project, not having them might limit the number of people buying the goggles. Keep up the good work man, cheers.
I'm so happy to see the growth of this project! We've come a long way fr. I wish you all best of luck for the goggles, i hope i get to try the new stuff out soon!
Great! I was waiting for this. Now i think for more people to adopt this we should make the installation process as simple as possible. A plug and play would be nice. Im waiting for my open IPC runcam with the geound station to come, then i will try to get it going. By the way, i fly fixed wing 1.2m wingspan self built plane
This is getting really amazing now, amazing project 😁👍️! It would be awesome i you could do a video testing the video penetration through buildings or trees, since thats the one thing I havent really seen a lot of testing on here
Yep we are all waiting for this, until then hold onto your wallet because there haven't been other reviews yet. Looking very good though but it's still early days but much to look forward to.
What is the range of IPC? Did I saw 800m on this clip?. I'm exited, what a technology 😮. FPV getting overall better and cheaper... restrictions unfortunately reached the sky...
If you want good to you forget these Racerstar morors. Soon became bearing problems, not good quality. Use Emax eco motors if on low budget. Grat for your echivements, I follow you!
Awesome flight and footage! I saw you are using the Asus AC56 instead of RTL8812au for the vtx, is that correct? What would be the difference between the two in terms of performance and power? Thanks
@@mariofpv Thanks, I read that 8812EU is replacing 8812au, but it seems 8812EU only supports 5.8G. Will that be a bad thing for OpenIPC or normally 5.8G is the best way to go? BTW, I ordered Runcam kit to start on OpenIPC!!
5.8GHz is the way to go unless you are living in the middle of nowhere. 2.4GHz is a very busy band because of the WiFi modems we all have in our houses. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Unfortunately, the TH-cam is compressing the DVR reducing the video quality dramatically. Furthermore, the original DVR was only 720p because at that time the video recorded that was the only resolution supported MSPOSD, so expect much better video quality at 1080p or in higher resolutions that we now support. Overall, the video quality in reality is surprisingly good and by far much better than you saw in this video. Expect more videos in the future so make sure you subscribe to not miss them. Some of the popular TH-camrs already expressed their positive feedback. Search for Mad’s Tech latest live video for more information and better understand what is our project, OpenIPC. Cheers mate!😊🤯
@@mariofpv TH-cam is letting me watch this video in 2160p60 (4k) so the problem is at the source. Yes the original 720p I guess. I'm following along and looking forward to seeing more. All in the spirit of improvement! Keep up the good work. 👍
incredible work! can`t wait for the openipc googles!
Stay tuned. Cheers mate!😊🍻
3:07 ❤ great stuff mate.

As soon as there is an air unit with Gyroflow support I'm buying it and building myself OLED goggles :D
The OpenIPC Mario AIO already has onboard IMU accelerometer. Search for my video. Cheers mate!😊🍻

OpenIPC googles wow!! Can’t wait !!
You already saw them because you are honorary member…😊🙏
@@mariofpv looking forward to seeing these. Don't suppose you have any details or ETA you can share more openly yet? Cheers
@@mariofpvIs any opportunity to jump on this train an help you and your amazing thing on doing them ?
What about ardupilot MSP?
@@mariofpv I know but I was told not to say anything ;-)

OpenIPC is using the WFB link. With the right antennas the WFB link has more than 100km range. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv what? :) thx for the info I need to dive into. Thx for all great stuff for our community!
This looks great!! Love to see the progress!

Does the MSPOSD overlay get included on the onboard recording as well, or is it configurable?
I haven’t tested the onboard recording yet. I’ll let you know when I do it. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv Cheers
When openipc goggles releasing ?
I can’t release any information yet. Stay tuned until we officially announce all the details. Cheers mate!😊🍻
Would it be possible to get it work with an VR Goggle like the quest 3, the android could possible work .
Yes it’s working but no 360 VR function. Just an FPV virtual screen in front of you. Cheers mate!😊🍻
@@mariofpv Thx Yeah 360 wasn't my intention. Thx for Reply
The graphics and text look a little grainy. Definitely not as crisp and clear as I would have hoped.
