Shou Sugi Ban | Alligator Skin Finish with Copper

A weekend project amidst other things, turning planks of pine into shelving with the Shou Sugi Ban technique. We let the surface become charred and did not brush it, then dusted a copper pigment into the textured surface.

What kind of spray did you finish it with? Just spray paint, some kind of clear coat with metal flake?
