Shou Sugi Ban | Alligator Skin Finish with Copper
A weekend project amidst other things, turning planks of pine into shelving with the Shou Sugi Ban technique. We let the surface become charred and did not brush it, then dusted a copper pigment into the textured surface.

Starting with a gorgeous piece of extra thick solid walnut hardwood, this one of a kind custom pour over coffee stand features high-voltage Lichtenberg Patterns filled with Gold/Orange epoxy from Black Diamond Pigments and Art Resin Epoxy. The entire piece is hand crafted, and finished with a clear glass-like epoxy top and black steel double drip stand, holding two glass funnels.
