Got 2022 Pathfinder Platinum in Obsidian Green with Chestnut Leather and I love it. Plenty of legroom and headroom for the driver and I am 6ft 5in. It has more legroom than the Highlander and no dealer markup like Telluride. I was going to get Palisade but backed out of the deal due to dealer not agreeing to the interest rate when I made deposit. I was nervous about all the stories I read about Palisade problems and no parts available to fix. I hope my Pathfinder stays reliable otherwise I will go with Highlander next time. So far very comfortable and roomy and quiet.

Great to see they ditched the CVT. I always thought a CVT needed to be in a lighter car to work reliably. Although, I recently drove a brand new Corolla Sport Hatchback with a CVT. In sport mode it would slam the up shifts hard. I am thinking leave it in normal mode or this thing is going to break itself.
I own one and love it! One Big fail is the passenger seat unable to raise, a big defect in the Pathfinder since most passengers happen to be women they fall shot. Otherwise great SUV!
All I have heard about the Nissan and Infiniti redesign is the cribbing about CVT. What the heck was wrong with it.. It is still being used widely by Toyota and others.. why no complaints about that in these brands?? Is it media bias or something else. Now, I don't know why the CVT is bad, but that's the major thing I have been hearing and I'm tired. Jussayin!!!
I went to see this in person, although it is nice, is wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. I think there are better options for the same price, especially since they are asking a premium for it.
We had a 2015 Pathfinder Platinum 4x4 and loved it but recently had transmission issues. We looked at a 22 Pathfinder Platinum for a replacement but it didn't have as much storage and leg room compared to our older one. Ended up going with a 22 Palisade Limited which I think has a better interior and definitely more space--even cheaper. Made it a no brainer but we were hoping to get back into another Pathfinder.
Heard that the new 9 speed automatic is the one that honda had rejected because it had a lot of failures on honda/acura. Basically nissan went out shopping for a new transmission and got one from honda's dumpster.
Why cant be the Range Rover Discovery/Discovery Sport cant be a better to chose ? Price is far adoptable, Diesel with good fuel efficient , So many type of optional engines to chose, Reliable with quality and reputation. Please make out what you chose if the option comes with Range Rover Discovery sport
Not a chance. Big, expensive, boring, dated, ugly, massive depreciation, and not electric. It looks like it’s from 1995!! 🙈 Consumer recommendation: DO NOT BUY.
@@billyrock8305 The engine is bulletproof. By general consensus, I shouldn’t have bought VW Jetta but I have and it has been reliable so far. It is all about maintenance and there is no cvt anymore. 👍
@@billyrock8305 Both are not in same league. Nissan Pathfinder is light family friendly crossover and easy on gas compared to 4Runner that is built for off-roading and ancient. Plus more pricier. Jetta still is good car. Gli makes the Jetta more handsome and fun to drive. 👍
I think this car is for suckers. You're buying a car with an engine that was introduced in the late 90s, which is well known for excessive oil consumption and leaks. As far as the styling goes, it looks outdated already. The front end is boring as hell - ugly AF.
The toyota highlander is typically ugly compared to this pathfinder.
It has a ZF auto transmission which guarantees reliability and performance.
are you being sarcastic? Honda has had many problems with this transmission on acuras

@@3mory2012 it depends how tall you are, I am over 6 foot, I find it’s fine for short stretches my wife is much shorter and she found it was fine

those fake shifts are a going to make the cvts die faster. nissan cvt's are big into fake shifting even with fairly normal driving.

cvts are bad. nissan cvts are extremely bad.

The vq engine is a fine v6. Nissan has been making v6 engines when other rivals were making 4 cylinders econoboxes and motorcycles.
