Bought the Orbit R2 in the exact same colorway, bought the Boneyard R2, now we wait early next year for it to ship. Man I'm glad so many great stuff are re-running.
That side profie is the chef's kiss. I like copper, but not necessarily the color of it, therefore ordered the titanium ano top with brass bottom and copper plate.
Do you mean the ripple design of the bottom weight? I would buy it if the rippled look was on the outside of the weight. I am a sucker for unique looks, that I can actually see...
Sorry noob question here. Are the gat milky yellows and gat milky yellow pro different? Whenever I use the milky yellow pros, they sound super muted with a deep thockier sound profile and feel sluggish as well.
@@augustjim Yes, some people also mention it at 9:31. A thin sound lacks depth, richness, or fullness. It is often associated with a sharper, more "pingy" or metallic noise. It can also be associated with hollowness, weakness and lacking character. The way I tend to think about it, a thin sound means a bad type of clack. Even though clack tends to have higher frequencies which can sound great, thin feels like just too much, creating a weak sound that just does not seem pleasant.
That kind of money for a basic biatch 65% with copper bottom is too much. The Neo 75 Cu which is larger and more complicated, with more parts, is half the price for the copper bottom version...
@@augustjim What does a "target audience" have to do with it? A smaller board with simple construction and literally nothing standing out about it other than copper bottom costs twice as much as a larger board with a more complex design and construction, and a copper bottom too. If "target audience" is how you explain it, you'll have to do better than that. Unless you're trying to say the target audience for this board are suckers, then it would work...
@@LastSecBloomer the kind that appeals to an audience that likes the standard 7u 65% layout, a hefty bottom weight, the side profile, colors, and acoustics. neo75 cu is amazing value for an in-stock keyboard but it doesn't mean there can't be more expensive keyboards in the market. the consumers will dictate that demand.
Nice looking keyboard but I'm gonna be honest, it sounds horrible. Also drives me crazy how you don't type anything in your typing test? You just smack a few keys over and over? Bizarre.
He types "i love you chat" over and over. He's mentioned this a few times on twitch streams. He does it consistently so when you review his reviews you get a standardized typing test and can evaluate the boards respectively
This. That and plus just some random other patterns I've memorized. If you think it sounds horrible, that is just your preference! Perhaps look into other boards.

Beautiful keeb. It's sad that the detailed plate will be hidden.

makes you wonder how they ruled out that missed opportunity
@@raythekid_ bit weird bc it is on the outside on the cloudnine ss weight
@@Moritz.Langensame with this board. Stainless gets the machine path design
If I didn’t plan on going in on a second Sangeo65, I woulda gone for this. This thing is an absolute work of art.
I don't think I am ever going to get tired of the copper look😋
Just bought one of these, cheers
I suggested boneyard in chat at 4:46 and it turned out amazing! Placed an order for titanium/copper and pairing it with boneyard just like the vid 🙂
Naming a colorway Choco is just really funny to me. Beautiful still, but funny.
The accessories and packaging of the orbit remind me of the xox70
Wow those milky yellows are loud. I just lubed and spring swapped a bunch and they are not as loud as this.
you cam tell he was hype for this project
I saw the thumbnail change lol
i feel machina is gonna send you an orbit it’s gotta be the copper on copper right ?!
I'm slowing down my keeb purchases, but i wouldve made an exception if the ripple pattern was on the outside instead of inside

anyone know the keycap set of his orbit r1?
will you recommend any tactile switches? Please and thanks.
how tf do you make gateron milky yellow sound like this
Magic... and lube.
Lube, film, and a pc/pom plate 👌 spring swapping with a longer, snappier spring helps, too.
milky yellow sound good with alu plate thats the magic
@@nowayberniethis build is actually polyptopylene as an fyi, but agreed, I’ve heard good sounding milky yellows on alu builds from Alex as well
Do you mostly spend on keyboard or sponsored by brands
Its a mix, I buy WAY too many parts to build these things. Like switches, modding materials, keycaps, stabilizers etc
Imo the bottom pattern is the least important part of the keeb
Wow thats clacky! Really want a board like that!
The Orbit is an amazing board but having nothing on the back weight makes it boring looking for me at least.
I've always wanted an Orbit but I am not buying it from his site. No European vendor = no thanks

Sounds pretty thin.
can you describe what you mean by thin?

the targeted audience for the orbit65 r2 is very different from the neo75 cu. the latter is clearly for entry, with a more affordable price mark.
I think the Neo75 CU is overpriced when a free dell keyboard does the same thing. Value isn't everything.

Yeah I'd rather just have a free dell keyboard.
