    Thank you, Doug and Patty, for putting this great video together. I don't know how I missed seeing it sooner. It sure brings back a lot of memories. Living in Bagdad was quite an experience.

    I thank all for the comments and those involved in putting the video together. My son recently died and I am considering relocation. The draw in to Bagdad is the "Country" roots and the town's cultural beginnings. Thanks for the possible option

    I used to teach first grade at D. C. Lincoln Elementary School in Bagdad and I enjoyed every second of being there, teaching there and living in that community. I really wished I could have stayed there for the rest of my life.

    Bagdad doesn’t look much different than it used to. I probably should have gotten into mining like my dad back in 89. Nice video and thanks for the memories.

    I haven't been to Bagdad in 25 years. It amazes me just how much it has changed.

    Wow. We used to ride to Bagdad during the Laughlin River Run and would take group photos at the sign. I didn't even know the town existed. I thought it was just a truck stop and sign!

      * I used to go to the big Copper mine when it was under Cypress Amex, driving for M&D terminals.
      during the mid to
      late 1990s .
      attended town memorial service funeral for KC. when she passed. always had a good time and like her husband Jack.
      really miss Darna Lou, that at the time was working in receiving at the big truck shop.
      most of all I miss going to the mine and talking with all the people that work there !

    Back in 1978-1979 Bagdad was my home, way up there on the hill at the pumice mines..it was hell at times, but made me a much stronger person! The town of Bagdad would have been a great place to raise my children, it is very special.

    • @NewJerseyJimmy
      @NewJerseyJimmy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, purposely raising children in Bagdad is cruel. They don't have a life in Bagdad, they simply exist in Bagdad. Drugs, poor education, bullies-today's Bagdad is a horrible.
