- The ghost "town" of Nothing, AZ is located at milepost 148 1/2 on US Route 93, approximately 20 miles south of Wikieup. While the place frequently is noted on lists of unusual place names, the name is quite fitting is aside from an abandoned building and a billboard with the town's name, there is nothing there.
In this video we take a quick look at the history of Nothing and explore what's left of Nothing.

I transported that cell phone tower from Indiana to Nothing 9 years ago in a flatbed.

I remember that next to the convenience store, there was a painted white box on which was written "Come and see Arizona's Only White Bat". You looked in and saw a baseball bat painted white!
That's pretty funny. Stuff like that is what makes road trips so fun.
I had no idea it was abandoned now. In February of 2005, my dad and I took a road trip, and stopped at Nothing to take pictures. There was an old 4 door 1920s car there, like a Model A but bigger. I sat in and on it and Dad took pics. I still have those pics. So sad to see what's left of the place I remembered.
Seeing Nothing! Now THAT was something!
I was searching for Nothing thinking there might be a town in this vast world have this unique name and yes i found it.
I stopped in when the store was still open, and when the proprietor saw me looking at a modest group of photographs on the wall, he told me "those 'er pitchers 'a folks that were here." He added that Brittany Spears visited recently "in her big 'ol tour bus," and pointed to an 8x10 glossy that was signed:
"I've got nothing to say.
- Brittany."
As I left, I wondered if she really stopped in, or if the store owner acquired a Brittany photo and faked her signature as a way to increase interest in Nothing. It looked real to me though.
Since her name is actually spelled "Britney" it was probably fake.
Steve....Your video on Nothing is the best video of Nothing yet! ...hahaha. As my friend would say....there's Nothing but miles and miles of miles and miles.

There is ONE good thing about that place = it offers FREE camping ! Since it is abandoned, there is no one to give you a ticket for parking your camping trailer there for a few days.
Great idea! I wonder if you would get disrupted by people trying to also visit nothing. I doubt it though

I remember when I was young and My Family would drive from El Paso to Las Vegas, on the way we would always stop at Nothing, they would get gas and I would go into the store to get snacks from an older couple. Sad to see it's lived up to it's name. This place, Hoover Dam and that Christmas Village(now I'll have to look it up) in Nevada were always the highlights for me. Edit- It was called Santa's Land and was in Arizona, just south of Nevada. I was like 8, sorry if I thought it was in Nevada, LOL.
Great story, thank you for sharing. Awhile back I saw the ruins from Santa Land in Arizona. I've thought about heading back there but I have no idea of the current state.

@@SidetrackAdventureslooks like the Santa’s Land buildings have all been razed from what I can see on Google Street View.
They literally have solar panels… So I wouldn’t say they have “Nothing”…
The highway may be incorporated into the Interstate 11 project that would run from Canada to Mexico. If so, the roadway would be widened, requiring the demolition of what remains of the settlement. If so, there will be, ironically, nothing left of Nothing.
If that happens, Nothing will be lost...

I actually drove through here a few times but don’t remember even seeing it. I’m not surprised given that there isn’t really anything there except for a large truck parking lot.
Burro Creek is nearby and if you travel the dirt tracks through the local hills you just might see wild burros!
Now I dont have to stop and check it out!
These past couple of times passing through there, I had been wondering if there were trails to from Nothing to any of the cool mounds of boulders in that area.

Well there's not nothing there because there's trees and bushes and dirt and abandoned buildings... So obviously it's not nothing LOL all real estate to some extent is still valuable just want to point that out
