My guess is that Discord made those bugs before he got sealed he got sealed in stone the second time or shortly after Celestia released him under fluttershy’s care, the guy can be pretty vindictive when he wants to be and just plum forgot about the bugs since they didn’t hatch when he thought they would

honestly this AU is ROCKING this is some top tier stuff, AND all the while keeping to the original art style using edited sprites! i gotta say, that's impressive!
