    My husband and i sold our house and bought a trailer to downsize on our expenses and to travel. Talk about not having a studio. My space to work is the table and "family room" in a 27' space. I have one cabinet to store all of my art supplies. But i have the freedom to go places. And i can plein air paint to my heart's delight. It's all in the perspective and what you want to accomplish. I need help organizing since my space is so small. Which is why i clicked on this video.

      That’s so true Sandra, thank you for sharing your experience with us! I feel like in the last couple of years more and more people are questioning the until now « established » or « classical » life style we were brought up to appreciate and turn to life models that fit them/ their values and choices much better and I’m happy to see that. Stability and consumerism has been such a big part of our lifes that it came to a point where we do need to question what is important to us and whan we value most. ❤️✨

      I love the way you use second hand furniture for your drawing and paintings the cabinet is gorgeous and that's a great idea for storage I totally agree

    Always enjoy seeing where artists create. I use canvas (drop cloth house painter-type). They are cheap and come in several sizes you can pick up at hardware stores or big box building supplies stores, for a table cover to protect a surface from my "creative process". I also use another canvas drop cloth to cover my supplies when not in use. They can be thrown in a washing machine when they get dusty. They may get paint on them that sometimes can look like a painting in itself. ;)

    My studio is just a 8 x 12 room in the country with a desk, computer, card stock, and nib. Besides the cost associated with ink and cardstock, I've found I don't allow myself to buy extra stuff I don't need. To be fair, I'm cheap.
    Regardless, your channel has a good dark academia vibe with good art. Hmm.. Good stuff!

    • @NinfaFluidaGallery
      @NinfaFluidaGallery  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I agree that restricting one’s space also helps getting one’s priorities straight and prevents you from buying unnecessary stuff! It’s the same for me with canvasses. As I don’t really have enough space to store my finished works and hoarding blank canvasses I have both to find a way of selling the finished ones and really think about which type of canvas I buy next. Also helps staying productive because you can’t start 10 works without finishing them - I litteraly wouldn’t have the space to proceed in that way 😅

      @@NinfaFluidaGallery Also, I have zero idea how to sell stuff. I'm just assuming the art gallery guy I'm talking to knows what to do so I'm being patient, a good boy, and waiting for things to happen. :P
      Focusing most of my anger that scares people into art though for sure. Hope your art is ever productive.

    Very good point about the economy and the right time to consider art as the hobby and living as the practicality. Even Levin from Anna Karenina worked on the farm to gain experience to enrich his experience. And I remind everyone that experience is art. But experience is also living and providing. Mostly for oneself and a few others, to be fair. Yet regardless, we as people need to work. Otherwise, shit people keep calling the shots.
    If someone's an artist and is struggling with this, now you know.

    • @NinfaFluidaGallery
      @NinfaFluidaGallery  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly, it even was a common practice in schools for nobles to do agricultural work during the holdiday season to gain some perspective and appreciation for their status.
      And yes, we are not all fortunate enough to live entirely off our art so there are many different hybrid stages one can experiment with in order to give yourself the chance to venture down this path.

    It may be how you've decorated your studio, or it shows off your sense of style, but i assumed you were living and working in a mansion. Like a royal family 😊
    Personally, I have only a small desk next a window, and a small space for materials, and thats all i need. It feels cosy.

      Thank you so much David, your comment made me blush! 😅 Well, I’ve always dreamt of an old cottage that we could transform - maybe one day we’ll get there, it’s nice to have things to look forward to! Well, the first paintings that ended up on my website were created on my dining table in Paris in the middle of my living room 😅 I worked one canvass at a time and I had no storage place at all, except a shoe box for my paints and brushes! this is what I’m talking about - nearly nothing is a real obstacle for the creative mind, definitely not space! ✨❤️

    • @DavidPeacockArt
      @DavidPeacockArt 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NinfaFluidaGallery that's so true. I've done a few paintings just sitting on the floor of my living room. I feel like having a big studio, with the best equipment and art supplies only does so much for your art and your confidence. Of course, it would be nice to have a big studio but as long as your space is comfortable and makes you happy, you'll create your best work

    • @NinfaFluidaGallery
      @NinfaFluidaGallery  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly - you have to adapt the space to how you want it make you feel and compromise from there. Feeling comfortable is really the most important thing to be in the right state of mind to create ✨
