After reading f.c.'s fungal acne post, I'm so grateful you mentioned squalane and cyclomethicone in your alternatives! Thanks for this fun recipe! Your blog and channel have been my go-to's for DIY beauty for a long time!
You're amazing girl. I really enjoy watching your videos but please could you please recommend me a book about starting to make these products as a beginner
I'm afraid I don't know of any such books, sorry. My book (www.humblebeeandme.com/make-it-up-preorder/) is very beginner friendly, but it is mostly about makeup :)
I have a question, in order for this lip tint not to expire, doesn’t need preservatives? have you used any preservatives in them if you want to sell them? @
Would adding food colour to an existing lip gloss also turn it into a stain? Thanks so much, i just have too much products to use before trying our this one.
Hey I love everything you do, ❤And your book is amazing It’s the only book which have both makeup + cosmetics Thank you for your Knowledge.. Just one question I couldn’t find water lip tint , or if you upgraded this formula to water lip tint can you share it please.. 🙏🏻
I'm afraid slightly creamy but still fluid and anhydrous is a tall order as most of the creamy-ness adding thickeners will settle out of a low viscosity formulation :/
You can try, but readers have reported not using the thickening clay does result in a serious loss of wear time and I'm suspecting this is due to the loss of the positive charge of the thickening clay.
Just found your page I CANT believe all this info is given for free! You’re amazing! Next would you pleeeease post a water based buildable lip tint. One similar to benetint I think it was called.
Thank you so much :) Don't forget to check out my blog (humblebeeandme.com) as well-I've been blogging since 2011 while I’ve only been on TH-cam since about 2016, so there are a lot more formulations on the blog. The blog is also where my ingredient encyclopedia and FAQ live, and they're both packed with tons of super-helpful information ❤️ Happy making!
First off, I enjoy the videos and your book! With this recipe I noticed a little bleeding. Did I apply too much or could this be caused by a mistake? This is the first recipe that I've tried.

Hello Marie! This is me again and again loving your work 💕 may I ask if iron oxide works too? We dont have lake dyes here and. Carmine so I am looking for alternative that is vegan. Thank you!!

Hii I tried this recipe and the end product came out really oily. What do you suggest i should do to mattify it? Also, i want a watery texture, like benetint, this one is a little oily. Maybe i'm making a mistake somewhere.. helpppp
Would that tiny mixer work for dispersing pigment for lipstick? I’d like to disperse some pigment into TKB film fix for making lipsticks that are long wearing. Thank you 😊
Humblebee & Me , Thanks for the advice. I’ll definitely watch how much I add . My first lipstick turned out pretty decent . It stays on quite well without drying. I used my lil mixer and it works AWESOME. THANK YOU 😊

This is great Marie; I love lip stains. I especially like how a small amount makes such a big impact.

Thanks so much! The fractionated coconut oil I use is actually MCT, and that's safe as well :)
That is such a great recipe! I’m going to have to get some thickening clay next time I order from TKB.
It is SUCH fun stuff! It seems to make all my makeup recipes better :D

@@HumblebeeAndMe Thanks a lot for responding. You're an angel.
Hello, Marie! Did you do a wear test with these tints? I’d really like to know how long they last :) Thanks!
Can you make a tutorial on cream blusher? I prefer those cause they are more compact
What Hell
She has an excellent one in her book! She can’t share the recipe from the book as it was copyrighted.

I love you! You make me happy, when I see new videos! Thank you!❤️

What is the alternative of thickening clay?
Thank you very much
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;)
I was just wondering how to make lip tints (they’re so low maintenance-never needs a touch up) and here we are. You’re a genius.
I also made some solid ones around the start of September that I love! Lip tints (lints?!) for the win!
Hello Marie! I used olive squalane instead of fractionated coconut oil, but I want it in slight creamy form. Should I add wax? What do you recommend?
I'm afraid slightly creamy but still fluid and anhydrous is a tall order as most of the creamy-ness adding thickeners will settle out of a low viscosity formulation :/
Can u make lip serum?
Making part start in 3:27
Is xanthan gum an ok substitute to tkb thickener??
I read your blog . can i use 50 /50 of magenisum streate and kaloin clay instead of thickening clay
You can try, but readers have reported not using the thickening clay does result in a serious loss of wear time and I'm suspecting this is due to the loss of the positive charge of the thickening clay.
Yes, performance wise it sucks! If you can get the thickening clay! It makes a huge difference.

Hmm-did you use the thickening clay, or did you substitute it? That particular clay is a very big part of the successful wear of this product.

Would lip gloss tubes work as packaging as well?
The hard sized type with the doe-foot applicator would, but not the squeezy type unless you want a red explosion!
I have purchased your book on Kindle and all set for my own brand but can u tell me how do I find the shelf life for all the products?
Please read through the FAQ (www.humblebeeandme.com/faq/) :)
can I use TKB tradings mica instead of the pigments that you used?
and use almond oil instead of coconut ?
Your questions are answered in the partner blog post + FAQ (www.humblebeeandme.com/faq/) :)

Welcome, and thank you for your support! ❤️
Are the Red#7 and #33 vegan. And do you have any suggestions on what company does vegan pigments?? 😁
Yes, they're vegan. The only non-vegan colourant/pigment still in use that I know of is carmine-all the oxides, chromium oxides, FD&Cs are vegan.
What is TKB thickening clay??
You can learn all about it in the Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) :)

TKB! Linked in the blog ;)
The red iron oxide can be made for people that love natural nude looking lips I guess
Can I use food colours?
I don't recommend it at all.

Did you change anything? The thickening clay is a big part of the drier touch finish, as is the IPM.
@@HumblebeeAndMe hey, no i followed the exact recipe.. can you help me with a water tint formula instead? This one is great but a bit oilyy

As long as the mixture isn't too viscous it works really well! Watch out with film fix-I love it but holy moly is it ever drying!
