No problem, if you are replacing the seals, lubricate them first before fitting. Like an idiot, I remembered a couple of weeks later and then stripped it back down to make sure thet were lubricated properly. Thanks for watching👍🏻
Ive got 3 Diana's absolute nightmare to rebuild. Ive replaced the seal and matched a new spring it still doesn't throw a pellet. Best i found was darts and just roll a frangible bb down the barrel.
Yes, I'm going to start on an old Hector rifle soon, it's based on a MK1 diana apparently and its got less blow than the Webley! Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Hi, thanks for watching. I ordered through a company called Airgun spares.com. the piston seal.did need quite a bit of lubricant to soften it up and I had to trim the breach seal slightly. Sounds like a good buy for £10, think the seals cost me around £15, there are a few companies that still do spares for vintage airguns, the Hector/Diana model 1 I recently got working was the exception though!
@@Bloodshed.restorations I just pulled it apart and realized the piston head is set up differently to yours, the centre screw is flush with the top of the piston? The leather or rubber washer is completely gone too? Very confusing 🫤 I don’t intend to completely restore it internally as I live in Ireland and you need a license to own one and purchase ammo! But I do like the ergonomics. Btw I’m the same Jack of all trades too, but a friend called me a ‘professional tinkerer’ which I much prefer 😅 Thanjs for your reply!! Subbed
@@Cheezwizzz I didn't realise that it was so strick over there, I think Scotland is similar. It is a lot harder to get hold of airguns in England now too! Cheers for joining😁👍🏻
Hi, thanks for watching. I used the company www.airgunspares they had a good range of replacement parts, worth having a look on their site to see if they can help.
Many thanks.Just bought an old junior.
