I tried but it sold out too fast. I have the two NES switch controllers that Nintendo released for online members and those never sold out and are still in stock.. I'm sure they'll become available again soon.. gonna just keep regularly checking the Nintendo website.
4:55 you don’t need to take the Switch out of the dock or use another controller. The ZR button acts as the home button and the ZL button acts as the capture button.
You need to get rid of the menu commands at the bottom of the screen when you're playing SNES and NES games. When you launch the app, go to the side menu, hit options, and then toggle off the commands. It cleans up the screen.
William Moore Yeah, people don't stop and think about that enough. Same with the idjits who claimed C3 Joycon that came with the recent OG Mariko upgrade were better than their launch C0 ones. In reality, their C0 just had 3 years of usage and felt exactly the same out of the box. I'd know considering I have two sets of launch ones and also bought some C3 earlier this year when my main ones started drifting the bed. My secondary launch ones haven't particularly been used (and will likely see even less use now that the Lite is out since that's to be my main from now on) and feel exactly like the C3.
I think the feel of the sand paper feel is because they are literally brand new. The SNES controllers we have for the actual SNES console have been used by us as kids with cheeto greasy hands so that grit has been worn down do basically the controller being smooth now. Same with the L and R trigger buttons they felt different cuzz they have not got that played in feeling of years of using them like we did in the 90s of playing our SNES almost on a daily basis. ;) I have also done my un-boxing and review over on my Random PinballReviewer.
It’s the best you can do! I have mine’s like one year ago and it the best decision I’ve made. Don’t worry about the things about “originals” controllers
I use the the 8Bitdo Gbros. wireless adapter with the NES and the SNES classic mini controllers and they work great! There's no point in getting the Nintendo Online controllers.
U have it backwards, you 100% don't need this Ctrl cuz the button layout is identical to a pro Ctrl, u NEED the NES Ctrl because the A and B buttons are not in the proper position on a pro Ctrl for comfortable nes play
Start and Select are in a strange place on the Pro controller though, and it's bigger and doesn't fit into a pouch or pocket as easily as the SNES controller.
With the pro controller or the joycons for the NES games use A and X, instead of A and B. That way its the correct slanted angle and you can hold run and then jump in mario games like you're meant to. It's not as good as just being able to remap the buttons to B and Y, and it's dumb they don't let you remap them, but this is infinitely better than trying to play nes games with the wrong-angled A and B buttons
Dude same! I have been playing Starfox and beat it on easy and hard! It was lovely! And I really like Starfox Zero. The retelling of the 64story was lovely. And the control changes were very nice! It just sucked that there wasn't a dog fight multiplayer and instead we got Starfox Guard......wtf lol That is an app game right there! I say they should bring it to the switch with controller options and the multiplayer from Starfox 64 3D. Kills me inside that they had all the ingredients they needed for a successful starfox. Real shame! Great video as always bro!
I was born in 85’ so I didn’t really mess with NES. My first system was snes and those controllers are still my favorite for any classic game play. I remember the slight flex to the controller and the feel of the concave buttons. Reminded me of sweet tarts....just always thought that. Is the controller thickness any different? That’s my only question really.
can't believe you would recommend this over 8bitdo controllers when they completely smoke it. More compability, analog sticks, better grips on the SN30Pro*, etc
Super Nintendo purists will absolutely appreciate the gritty texture, since it’s on the originals too. A few years back I snagged a couple of extra official controllers for my SNES, and they were exactly like the Switch ones. A lot of people are just used to the texture having been worn down.
0:29 you don’t really "need" this SNES controller either. The button layout is pretty much the same as a Pro Controller. Controller necessity doesn’t really come into play until they start adding N64 games, because the button layout is dramatically different on it.
There is also a similar Easter egg on the NES Nintendo Switch Online app. The bar on the left turns gray and the sound effects are different when you connect the NES Switch Online controllers (the ones with the joycon railings on the top of you are wondering).
What will hapen in future when Nintendo shuts down Online for switch will we be able to purchase the snes and Nes Software so we can keep on our systems? Or will Our Saved data from the library of Snes and Nes be lost for ever?
The Super NES Online has been awesome. I forget just how high quality the Super Nintendo was. I will always hold a special place in my heart for the NES and the importance of it to the video game industry in general, but the Super NES was just that much better. It hasn't aged at all.
The easter Egg happens when you open the NES Oline with the NES Controller as well. Kinda forgot that was a thing so i didn't think to check if it was the same for SNES online.
Timothy Vreeland if you press Select+Start at the same time on the SN30 you can access both the menu and the rewind feature, not sure if it works on SNES mini controllers though
I use a SNES Classic controller with the 8bitdo's GBros adapter (it's usually $15). The actual adapter has a home and screenshot button, so the only thing it doesn't have it's the pair of Z buttons.
I am using 8bito gbros wireless adapter to play with my snes mini controllers, i highly recomend buying it if you have both Switch and snes mini and still want youse the snes controller and don't want to spend alot and it cost 19 dollars on amazon. You can also connect a gamecube controller to it as well.
I might be a minority but my first Star Fox game was Star Fox Adventures and I still think it is an awesome game. My second Star Fox game, and first traditional Star Fox game, was Star Fox Zero and it still is an awesome game. To each their own. :)
While this controller looks cool and well made i bought the 8bitdo SN30 pro to play SNES games and other games on my Switch. 8bitdo makes some very good quality controllers.
I actually just bought the NES ones. Waiting for them in the mail. I'm really late to the switch online party but I'm excited for them. I'll probably buy one or two of the SNES when they're back in stock as well.
Nice, I cannot wait til I get my set. RGT 85, did you purchased the Contra Collection and The Collection of Mana on the Switch? I would like to see your take on how the SNES controller holds up to those games like Contra III SNES and Secret of Mana SNES. Thank you.
Too bad my 8bitdo SN30 Pro shows a generic controller. Nice little touch showing SNES controller in the Switch Controller menu. If you have not checked out StarLink, you should it is a great game with StarFox characters in it.
People say 8bit dew because that's how the company pronounces it I think. Saw a video of someone making the controller say 8bit dew, not sure if it was fake or if they can actually do that.
I don't know about him, but I have a second profile on mine so I can play BotW with a separate save file, and to play free demos without having my play history on my main profile fill up with a bunch of demos that I "Played for a little while."
Think you may be the first to break this on you tube RGT! Been looking for the European Easter egg and have come up empty (I’m assuming it will be same sounds but different colour scheme for menus?)
I have only one question. Will it work with Collection of Mana? Since both Secret of Mana and Trials of Mana were originally for Super NES/Super Famicom, and this consists of direct ports, you would think it should work, but I know nothing is guaranteed. It would be nice to have for SNES online games, but I mainly want it for Mana, so its usability for that will be the deciding factor as to whether I'll cough up the exorbitant $30 for a single SNES controller.
Pretty sure that was ZL and ZR on top of the controller. Would like to know if it works with MK11 and Dragon Ball Fighterz. I know the 8Bitdo controllers are suppose to be really good, but I would rather use SNES Online controllers. Damn did I say controllers enough times?
I only have the SNES classic controllers to compare it to rather than the SNES online ones, but they're exactly the same size and use the same buttons etc, and the 8bitdo snes one I have (that has analogue sticks) is better. Just get one, they're great. I beat Breath of the Wild using it, before I eventually got a pro controller. @Blue Kid true, but they limited the Nintendo ones to a pair per account, and people were still reselling them at ridiculous prices, did they not see this was going to happen
@Frank Garrett it's a shame but what can we do. I was logging on trying to buy the controllers for my own use, and never got the option to buy, they were either on sale while I was at work or asleep lmao
There are plenty of Neo Geo Fighters for the Switch. Haven't you heard Arcade Archives? Plus SF probably won't come to the SNES app due to the SF collection.

Got mine in the mail today
My dad left
Nope..because the uk/eu snes controller STILL hasnt been released in our area.
RGT 85 yes I got 2 and I button swapped one of them with a Japanese controller color buttons. Had to mod them a bit but they look awesome.
5:38 if you don’t want to wait.
Thank you
Oh dear god thank you
I immediately scrolled so I didn’t have to hear his annoying voice any longer
You are a living God.
Thank you sir
4:55 you don’t need to take the Switch out of the dock or use another controller. The ZR button acts as the home button and the ZL button acts as the capture button.
Oh my God! No Stevie Richards!
Nooooo, I honestly loved seeing the intro though.
Thx god
And no Mitch the houseplant :/
Carlos Rosas Noooo, I also love that as well.
good

Transfiguration really? I honestly never knew that I have to try that cus it’s so ugly
@@switchmaster5860 , it's just the menu commands at the bottom. You're still stuck with the weird border.
Transfiguration yea that part I’m fine with I just hate the control thing always being there! Thanks man
Cool story bro
Switch Master You couldn't have particularly known it. It wasn't added until the last update and the SNES app came with it by default.
SNES controllers have been losing grip for over 25 years you would have to time travel to compare how much grip each one has.
William Moore Yeah, people don't stop and think about that enough.

@@HarmonicWave ya the start and select buttons are in bad spots if u need to use them alot

Using an NES controller when opening the NES games app also added a bonus sound effect.
Yeah, when RGT said he didn't buy the NES controllers, I was like, "No kidding!" Hahahaha!
Play gta with these remote

I think that's what he is going to do soon, the controller is good, but there are better controllers on the market

Star Fox is on the switch. Play Star Link for the Switch. It is the best SF game I've ever played. XD

It's sound effects from Super Mario World on the menu and a grey menu bar. That's the easter egg.

You have to admit that comparing a official SNES gamepad remake to a knock off was a bit silly.
