It seems to me that dualistic spiritual path liken to a kind of Lamarckism in which the right behaviors is first and the understanding is a by product while the non dual path (mainly the direct path) is a kind of Darwinism in which the understanding is first and the right behavior follows
Most seekers are looking for that long dreamed, unrealistic for perfection of ego. The Enlightened Ego! Some think.... if I can only get rid of that ego! Some teachers espouse the killing of it. Who is killing who? Ego's sin of pride is considering itself: SELF....the entirety of itSELF. The only SELF. When Ego acknowledges and integrates the vast unknown, and unconscious, vastly powerful, infinite Being. Ego becomes the individual, unique, expression of YourSELF.
