    I’m normally intimidated by such long dialogues, so thank you for adding the time stamps¡ Otherwise I probably would not have watched this video and then I would have missed this gem of a discussion on fear and anxiety.
    It has given me a lot to contemplate in my own experience. Gracias Francis¡

    Wishful thinking (I am certain this wish has been expressed many times): May these videos with Francis find their way to the curriculum of any education. On the other hand, freedom is not further away just because the educational system has not embraced it. The immediacy of freedom is not compromised.

    It seems to me that without daily practice of quietening the mind until it becomes still, meditation, the matter of being/not being a separate self is fraught with doubt and a degree of anxiety that troubles people. In the empty stillness of meditation, there is no separate self, only pure unmediated awareness, and it is lovely - there is no anxiety or doubt. I think this is the problem with non-duality when it is unsupported by practice.

      only a doubting mind needs to quiet itself.

    "When Jimmy decides to play the cop or the robber . . .(when he plays the robber) . . .then Jimmy is going to jail." So hilarious. So complete. And it is just 2:48. Hahahahaha. Gotta love Francis Lucille!

      It's a paradox. You feel strange when back from work in silence. Yet I spend most the day in silence, love it, but I am afraid to goto work.
      What is wrong for one. Is right with the other. All in the flase self of course.
      In our true self....we are free from such anxiety and fear.
      If we could.swap, we would still be in the same predicament. 😅

    With understanding, there was no personal understander. But the thought comes after - "I got that!" Is meditation the best remedy for that? See that thought?

    Consciousness is impersonal but still perceived by the individual and being attentive as an individual to that fact can draw the veil and 'change the tide' - possibly.
    The 'happiness' of the golden or even more thsn often rusty cage is the validation of the self. As long as there is mentally an existential clinging to the own separate existence, man will not know freedom.
    The little as the big fears make us feel alive. Somehow it seems if you take the fear away, there will also be no fun. This is equalled with death. And that makes man shy away from seeing into the structure of fear properly.

    • @NJB28
      @NJB28 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Francis has said that the little fears make things interesting. He has also said that after self-realization The Big Fear is gone and that is the fear of dying and ceasing to exist. Sounds pretty good to me.

    Universal Consciousness is like a wave - Our Ancestors rode horses we drive cars - The Universal Consciousness had to change - you could not continue riding a horse and soon automobiles will be a thing of the Universal Past - when we are all flying through wormholes...

    anyone here ever notice his name is an anagram for lucifer?

    • @NJB28
      @NJB28 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, it’s not. You need to look up what an anagram is.

    • @Dooality
      @Dooality 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah that’s not an anagram. An anagram uses all the letters. If we’re going to pick and choose like that then your name is an anagram of “Demon” LOL
