The most in-depth, incredible video I have ever seen on the science of electroforming!

Thank you so much for putting all of this info out there. I have been following your videos, making my stuff for electroforming like you have instructed and I have really happy with the way you are teaching. And thank you so much!!!!!!!!!

Wow Jason! I am no scientist... but I do love a good explanation! I feel I've just received the best education (sans being there in person) I could receive! I haven't even started EF yet (waiting on all the equipment to arrive!) but after spending this week with your vids, I feel confident that my future exploration will be successful! Thanks! Selah

Thanks. I'm not there yet, just started ruining copper a couple of days ago. But as my hobby proceeds, I will return to this info.

Also what kind of acid do you use in the acid test and what are your metal squares made of? I would love to run these tests on my solution

thank you very much for your video once again you helped me to solve something that I did not know how to do, I had a lot of cooper sulface in my tank, because there were blue particles left, I know how to solve it, thanks

Curious if you plate in any other metals?

Think I might have to much acid! Got a PH meter and it reads 00.00 ... I've been watering it down and found that my anodes are getting darker now, which is good. From my research I had to much HCL in my solution, so watering it down is the only way to get it back to normal.

Thank you for sharing, very helpfull in every way .......... Only issue I have which you never covered was the anode part. Your anode was lovely and black, hence you have chloride like you said (and how much), ... Only thing you never mentioned which is the issue I have at the moment, is my anode is NOT black, it's more of a grey light colour and even after adding Hydrochloric Acid to it, it's not making any difference. I just can't work out out why this is happening?! ... I've don't everything by the book yet it's not black. ... Do you possibly think it could be my copper anode? I've recently learned that for best plating you have to use a good grade copper, like the C106 copper which is not oxidized and phosphorous ... I'm stuck here, it's driving me up the wall, and already thrown away about 15 gallons of solutions! Please help if you can.

In the acid test when you make the square are you using copper as well??

I have seen in other videos that miralax is used as a brightner. Here you are using it as a courier, will I still need the brightener to get the desired effect

What do you think gets pulled out or caught in the coffee filter?

For your plating solution, is it a lot clearer because you used less copper sulfate in your mixture? Also, how do you know when you have used too much hydrochloric acid in your solution?

what if my ph is .5 and im at .55 v to get to .2 A? adding acid doesn't seem to help.

Jason, you talk about some of dangers of plating, but dude, you really should be wearing nitrile gloves.

I got four minutes and 26 seconds in and you were holding a piece of wire that you said was 14 gauge. Did you mean 24? It looks pretty thing to be 14 gauge or am I missing something?

pH of bicarbonate solution will be much closer to 8 - fairly sure it's 8.4 when saturated. Better to buy a good buffer solution for pH 4 and 7 to properly calibrate.
