    Hi Jason, I have just made conductive ink based on your teaching, thank you so much, I am learning a great deal from you 🙏👍😊

    Thank you so much for sharing!!
    I'm just starting out on this awesome art form.
    It's a little intimidating to get start. "Do I buy all of my supplies ready more, or could I make some of them?" has been my biggest hurdle to starting.

    Have you tried an airbrush to apply your inks?

    Jason,
    With the third formula, how do you deal with attaching the jump rings?
    Would it go like this?:
    1. Paint it
    2. Do a thin layer of copper
    3. Put the jump ring on it using the super glue and baking soda method
    4. Paint over the baking soda with one other other formulas
    5. Do the final copper layers?

    I made a 1:1 graphite powder and India ink mixture, but it won't plate. I tested my setup on a silverware and that took copper immediately. Not sure what I'm doing wrong

    Would any of these conductive paint options work for soft soldering? I’m looking to hide seams and glue with some thing that I consider over.

    I don't know if you'll see this at this late a day, what are you able to put this through an airbrush?

    • @MertensChristoph
      @MertensChristoph 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was about to ask exactly the very same question. So, to use it with an airbrush, I was wondering if it wouldn't be better to use graphen io graphite. It is supposed to be more conductive than graphite and is thinner.

    • @MertensChristoph
      @MertensChristoph 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The description of the ink says 'Easily applied by pen, brush, steel brush or airbrush, Speedball’s India Ink is free-flowing, non-clogging and waterproof.' The big question is if it continues being free-flowing after having been added with graphite.

      I was wondering the same. Does anyone know if these formulas would clog up a traditional store bought paint sprayer?

    Hola! Soy española y me gustaría comprar la receta de la pintura conductiva super rápida. Antes de comprarla me gustaría saber si los materiales los voy a poder conseguir fácilmente en mi país o alguno de ellos tiene que ser de alguna marca específica que tenga que comprar en tiendas online.
    Gracias!

    Hi Jason,
    Is there something that can be added to that mix if it becomes too thick from evaporation? Thanks

    • @vitalolhar
      @vitalolhar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perhaps the same element that had evaporated?

      Joao Fernando Fonseca not sure exactly what the ink base is although brushes wash easy enough in water so perhaps distilled water

    To adjust do I add more graphite or add more ink to raise the resistance? Thanks.

    • @simonlinser8286
      @simonlinser8286 ปีที่แล้ว

      the less graphite you have the higher the resistance

    Volume of grafite powder and liquid paint , quantity wise not comparable as you said 50:50.but it's you ,who can decide

    Is the ink-based solution thin enough to go through an airbrush. If not, what can it be thinned with? Cheers,

    • @SICKFREDO
      @SICKFREDO 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you can always thin it further if is not, and add more layers as they dry

    • @oldkingcrow777

      @@CorumSilverhandanything that evaporates would work, provided it doesn't react with the ingredients. Which 99% of solvents wouldn't

      Where i get copper powder

    • @herbertfrischke7921
      @herbertfrischke7921 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Copper readily forms an oxide layer, making it less conductive. If you were to try it first remove the oxide layer by washing the copper powder in hydrochloric acid (muratic acid in the hardware store), then put it on. You could also coat it like done in the video, then electroplate it with copper.
