I've been following your channel for very long time and I enjoy everything on here .. I'm seriously in need of help for my sick mother🤨. Please I will be glad if you can help me in anyway way to save my mother's live...she's is all have, Food for us at home now is a very Big problem for us. If you can help me run a fund camping for her or any form of help I will gladly do so.. thanks and waiting to hear from you.
Have you found any major bugs with these? Opening and closing one of my blinds is becoming more of a stretch for me, with my declining physical condition. But money is limited, and I don’t want to waste it. Are they worth investing in?
Looks like they upped the price on these. I may try one out for my stairway window that is hard to reach but to outfit the whole house at $150 each is a bit insane
Neat product. As you mention @10:10... I hope you're blinds are in good shape. I've seen some really stiff blinds in the past and can imagine that little motor struggling quite a bit 😏
I would love to get but Indiegogo says too much on their site about "contributing" and not buying. Will I get the product I shell out money for? Thanks
Yes it has, they realized they could make big dollars from this and so they are doing so. The product has not improved it's the same just super inflated price wise. I decided to make my own, which was super easy and cost me less then 20 dollars.
I would love to get a few of these, but they don't ship to Canada :( Also, Home Assistant integration would be amazing as well. I'm sure this will be possible once the APIs are created, but non-cloud based integration would be the absolute best :)
I just watched a video by another guy, channel ‘Everything Smart Home’. He showed a mechanism for the pulley and referred to them as ‘beaded blinds’. ‘ It’s the ‘Aqara roller shade driver, E1’
There are some DIY options out there but you need to have some pretty intense motors. I would look into smart roller shades or cellular shades for this function.
Thanks for the review, Brett! Question: Do you see any way that these could be triggered by a remote button? Looking for how my family could operate the blinds without having to reach for their phone or talking to Alexa or Google. Thanks!
Finally an ingenious option. I’m sold. And price is right!!!! Some of these others out there are pure madness with price gouging and 8 D cell batteries total madness. This however is sexy.
Thanks Brett, I have been looking for affordable smart blinds for years now however they all so complicated to install but not this, 2 mins my gosh. I tried to order 8 units however they don't ship to South Africa, was soo sad man. Quick question, are these blinds compatible with the string types, I don't have the little wand type. By the way, great work, love your videos, keep it up man.
They would be good if they had a local API integration available. A Cloud API (coming soon) leaves you with a 'brick' when the company inevitably goes bust (there are many examples). So, no thanks (yet, they have stated they want to do a local API. I will wait.)
Looks like there’s nowhere to find for $84 the cheapest one it’s 150 bucks plus shipping. Can you tell me when you got it for $84 I need eight of them. Please
They REALLY need to update their indiegogo page, says shipping March 2021 and prototype phase... Clearly they are out of prototype if they shipped to you and app is launched...I've been waiting for these for almost a year.
None of my blinds have pull strings to tilt the blinds, only to raise and lower them. And to do that 2 times everyday on 6 blinds in the kitchen, it is very time consuming.
I like this but the prices have gone up too much. $84 for this is a good price. They want $126 not including shipping which puts it in the 'not worth it' category.
I find it annoying blinds don't have controls on the android home app. They do have touch controls on Nest Hub or Best Hug Max though. I use Soma Tilt, but theses are a nicer option and cheaper too.
@@TechWithBrett the double sided tape does seem a weird way to attach it to the wall, so far mine haven't let go. Their other products can have screws attached. Not sure why the Tilt did not have this option....
Looks like there are now a few different options for this. The Hook Up covers some DIY options currently available. th-cam.com/video/_4BcvlIQTuI/w-d-xo.html
Hello, this is the TV show broadcast on JTBC, a Korean broadcasting station. Our program introduces and teaches IT digital. Therefore, we would like to insert your channel's video for 2-3 seconds while making a smart home in the episode that airs on August 24th. The purpose of use is to introduce how to use smart home construction devices. Therefore, we are asking if your video will be available shortly. Have a nice day:)
Awesome video as always! Damn Brett, I have been after that wifi password for like 2 year's now and you always cut it out. 😉😉😉😂🤣 This is not bad at all. I hope all is well with you and the family. 🙏🏻 Stay safe brother.
Thank You Brett 🙂 As We will soon be getting New Windows Throughout Our Entire House, This information will be Useful. JaneLee 🕊️ - in Suburban Philadelphia 6/26/21
I checked the price - they're nearly $150 a blind now. The implementation seems really to be missing the mark for that price point - it has a loud stepper motor driver (imagine all of your windows closing at once...), it can't detect the torque on the motor to auto-calibrate, it doesn't seem to do a great job of consistency when your blinds open and shut (which, let's be honest, isn't your bad blinds on this sponsored video) - my guess is you're constantly recalibrating these things until you chuck them. There are sets for closer to $80-90 by competitors that include the solar recharger, granted, they're for the traditional bead blinds. I like the idea here, but this is a hard pass.
The wand is more expensive than the blind. $100 bucks??? When these companies realize that in order for them to be successful, and by saying success I mean have consumer adherence, they will need to bring their price into more affordable levels. i.e. price it like a wyze cam. Make it 20 or 30 bucks and you see the same growth Wyze experienced.
I love seeing new types of smart blinds become available. What windows coverings would you like to automate in your home?
Ones with strings 🎻
I have ikea fyrtur
@@koreypaul6698 Same but mine are really heavy

Sunsa wand is currently $150. :( That isn't affordable for me.
FYI The price has almost doubled. $150 for one
Now they are $172
They had to put the prices up because the cost of labour increased 12,768% all that extra money goes to the workers.😑
Where’d you find this for $84? Mine was double that
Is there a Home Assistant integration?
These look like nice options for upgrading your blinds at a relatively low price.
Is there one for shutters the use string?
Is Sunsa home kit compatible?
They are double the price now. Lucky you! Got them free
Great device wish this was available in the UK, much smaller & cheaper than anything available in the UK.
What is available in the UK? I'm trying to find some options
What about my blinds that work with a pull string system?
what is the model of the small tablet you are using?
That is actually the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2.
Neat product. As you mention @10:10... I hope you're blinds are in good shape. I've seen some really stiff blinds in the past and can imagine that little motor struggling quite a bit 😏
Hi my horizontal blinds are operated using strings. Will I be able to replace them with Sunsa?
Does it work with cordless blinds?
Thank you!
Another great video! But are these adaptable to the type of blinds that do not have the wand, but instead have the strings to open and close them?
I would love to get but Indiegogo says too much on their site about "contributing" and not buying. Will I get the product I shell out money for? Thanks
Thanks for this! I'm looking on their website right now, and one wand appears to cost $149.00. Has the price gone up?
Yes it has, they realized they could make big dollars from this and so they are doing so. The product has not improved it's the same just super inflated price wise. I decided to make my own, which was super easy and cost me less then 20 dollars.
@@nicywicy 20 bucks? That sound great, any more info maybe?
@@nicywicy Love the idea, I'm going to try to make mine too. Any advice welcome ! Thanks
How do you get them to open by percentages only
I have an issue with them sticking to the blinds. The bracket keeps unsticking.
Where do I buy one of the electric wands
Any update on production and shipping for these? Noticed they are still in crowdfunding phase.
Nice video. Do your French doors face a bay? Curious about the naming of them being bay doors.
When the batteries dies and you need to replace, do you need to reconnect and/or recalibrate the blinds?
I would love to get a few of these, but they don't ship to Canada :(
Also, Home Assistant integration would be amazing as well.
I'm sure this will be possible once the APIs are created, but non-cloud based integration would be the absolute best :)
Try some cheap ones from china (Ali express), US $172 for each is not worth even for the handicapped ones!
How long it takes to calibrate?
And do you know if there a physical remote that can be used with them?
Thanks.
Is this still available anywhere?
I’m guessing there’s not something similar for the cord tilt blinds rather than with the wand? Great video Brett.
I just watched a video by another guy, channel ‘Everything Smart Home’. He showed a mechanism for the pulley and referred to them as ‘beaded blinds’. ‘ It’s the ‘Aqara roller shade driver, E1’
Is it home kit yet?
Are the "expensive" ones lutron???
Cant wait to make my purchase, I need the solar panel option for mine
I just bought one of those! I'm very happy with the product.
Great video. What options are available for converting my shades to smart shades?
It depends what kind of shades you have. If you have a beaded chain or cord loop check out the Soma Smart Shades. www.somasmarthome.com/
These are $150/each not $84
He barely cares, he got those for free!
I will try them one day, in the meantime I suggest Dako as a cheap blinds supplier for non-smart options. I haven't tried they smart blinds yet.
I can not find them on any site to buy?? It is june 2021 why are they not on Amazon or somewhere??
Not yet on Amazon. Check my link in the description to go to their Indigogo page. They are going to expand sometime this year.
what about manual control?
You can if you need to. You unclip it from the adapter and then you can rotate them. Each time you do this you would need to calibrate them again.
@@TechWithBrett that sucks. Means these aren't wife friendly.
A button might be possible one day but since I have them all on to routine my wife hasn't needed to touch them.
Homekit?
What about raising and lowering the blinds???
There are some DIY options out there but you need to have some pretty intense motors. I would look into smart roller shades or cellular shades for this function.
Is there a cheap jig that can open and close windows? Would be super handy for supplementing air conditioning by expelling heat at night with a fan
Thanks for the review, Brett!
Question: Do you see any way that these could be triggered by a remote button? Looking for how my family could operate the blinds without having to reach for their phone or talking to Alexa or Google. Thanks!
If they work with alexa then they will work with an echo button or flic 2 button.
This is a wonderful alternative to expensive, new blinds. Now I can just upgrade the ones I have. Thank you for the video Brett!

They say early next year.
Any option to do this on roller blinds?
Ikea has a smart roller blind. Many Chinese options too. Try AliExpress.
Great info and review as always.👍
Thank you. I will soon have 10 windows in a home addition and I’ve been looking at affordable options. Very helpful.
Need polish when como out in platform like amazon or ebay i buy two but like baker i lost money in other product in this platform.

They aren’t $80 anymore :(
Their website has no mention of being Matter compliant (New Standard for Smart Home devices) which means these will soon be obsolete
Do they come in bundles or 84 dollars per wand? Love all the videos. Started my smart home because of you. LOL. Keep the videos going
There are different bundle options so the more you get, the more % you save.
Glad they have helped. Lots more coming this year!

Yep! They said the will be increasing there shipments in the next couple months.
Still in prototype phase on their indiegogo page.
It sounds like a great thing to have if you are handicapped. It’s not about being too lazy to get off the couch.

I'll go old school and just do it myself, getting off the couch is always a healthy idea.
That's a great idea!
I think it's a great idea keeping my house cool and safe if I'm not home.👌
why are they 150 now? :(
Inflation. They were actually lower while early funding was going on.
Interesting but why dont you just pull the cord to close your blinds?
None of my blinds have pull strings to tilt the blinds, only to raise and lower them. And to do that 2 times everyday on 6 blinds in the kitchen, it is very time consuming.
