You know a game will be epic when you hear "The proud owner of a barracks, a lot closer to his opponent's base than, what you might consider his own", in the intro.

That second game was amazing, GuMiho made a huge mistake with his first marine drop but then cure followed it up with his own mistake of over extending. brilliant attempts by both to squeeze their opponent for any advantage they could get.
What the heck was that last fight by Gumi? Such a YOLO style it hurt my heart to be cheering for him but I had to since he was actually doing stuff all series
14:37 I think it's really obvious that pros don't use Liberators for their anti-air weapons very much, because in the rare instances where a large number (6+ usually) of Liberators are in one place fighting small, clumped up air units, they mysteriously just allow dozens of supply to just plummet out of nowhere, not realizing how much splash damage that many Liberators can actually do
I don't play, I love watching as it has so much mind games in the first while and winter is good at talking about early mind games in any given match. My point being that I don't know every detail of each unit. But when I saw how fast the Vikings were annihilated the only thing I thought is why isn't this done more... the liberators (if that's the unit with areal splash damage) is an amazing tacticool tool.
Winter casted a bronze league heroes team game a little while back that showcased this lol, Winter himself was making fun of the player for building mass liberators against void rays but then the liberators just DESTROYED the void rays and Winter was flabbergasted 😂 ngl I was too, I never realized how good their anti air was in huge groups against clumped up air units
Haven’t figured out TvT in the current patch. I’m getting owned by tank pushes and BCs. The nerfed Raven, especially the auto-turrets, that’s how I used to shut down tank pushes. Now the reworked cyclones need 2-4 rather than 1 for the first BC. I guess I need to be a BC rusher myself. SC2 man, best game to watch, hardest to play and enjoy.
Yeah the new cyclone blows at what it was an excellent specialist at before: early game safety. Not only do BC own it hard, but it also sucks vs tempests now. It's also just merely OK vs voids instead of being an actual counter to it.
I’m really hoping they revert the cyclone change. I get WHY they did it but tbh there was nothing wrong with the cyclone before. It was a specialized unit and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with specialized units. The new cyclone doesn’t really have a place. It’s too weak to ward off early air harass and its too weak to be a core mid game army unit, but strong enough to be a threat at like a specific 1-3 minute phase of the game transitioning right out of early game - keeping it as a specialized unit lol. It makes no sense.
@@GrippeeTV Well... If you ACTUALLY watched closely Cure killed the FIRST BC in the first game with exactly ONE Cyclone and ONE Raven I'm pretty sure if 2-4 clones fail against the first BC they're used badly... with the lock-on one can burn through a bc super quickly you just need SOMETHING else or good micro with it to not let the BC directly target down the Clone... Also with the clone's being so much cheaper it's MUCH easier now to comfortably have 2+ Cyclone's out by the time a BC comes out (as Cure demonstrated against a top level BC rush) sooo... I think it's probably mainly a matter of how are the unit's positioned when the first BC comes in AND WHEN you actually KNOW it's BC-rush because depending on that it can be completely shut down or devastating obviously as with pretty much ANY "cheese-build". :)
GuMiho definitely could've won game one if he didn't throw away that first BC for nothing. Honestly 75% of the time it seems that BC openers only don't work because of mis-micro tbh
Imagine if he jumped into the mineral line before any vikings are out. Could've killed over a dozen SCVs. Unfortunately he let the TvT get to the point of "whoever builds more vikings wins"
@@chloesmith4065 it was totally avoidable. Ironically BCs might be the most important unit to micro in the Terran arsenal, and GuMiho disappointed 😔 and all the other pro Terrans will look at it and blame the good opener and not the bad execution :/ damning us to even more games of MMMM
Maru has slightly better game knowledge and is much faster than Cure and has unpredictability on his side, which makes Cure fold against him. Apart from him, there aren't many Terrans that can reliably beat Cure. It always feel like their micro will win them numerous small battles, but Cure has a killer instinct for forcing big fights which cripples the opponents significantly. Also what I like that even if he prefers to macro it out, he isnt afraid of breaking out the proxy rax cheeses just to keep his opponents on their toes (loved that he tried it against Maru of all people last GSL).
Problem with pro players is that they have amazing mechanics and high APM but usually they do wrong army compositions. In TvT there is rock scissors game where: bio+ghosts(nuke)+medivacs+tanks
I wonder how different Starcraft would be with a flanking mechanic implemented...off the top of my head not _that_ different really but I'd guess steamrolling would steamroll even harder and there would be more potential for comebacks (so the same as already, just moreso). the thing I'd like to see the most out of that would be for deathballs to become less viable but I kinda feel like it might end up going the exact opposite way.
Just a side note that if one player loses 22 tanks and the other loses 5 tanks, then the first player lost over quadruple the tanks, and not triple like you said. Also, thanks for the awesome cast

Gumibro has a buddy in the silver league that supplies him with his build orders.
"Well... that's not for Advanced Ballistics." The magic words for every Gumiho game.
That second game was amazing, GuMiho made a huge mistake with his first marine drop but then cure followed it up with his own mistake of over extending. brilliant attempts by both to squeeze their opponent for any advantage they could get.
35:50 Perhaps simple serendipity, but that was a zerg level surround
"The cheese is strong and sharp" is such an exciting mix of words
Sharp cheddar 🧀
I see Gumiho. I click.
Preach.
It really is that simple.
Grand Admiral GuMiho is quickly becoming the Terran $0$ and I love it!
"Gumiho sticking to his drugs and his guns...He would fit with my neighbours so well..." LOL
19:00, Timberborn is a great game if you like anything city building, survival, great for a couple dozen hours.
Those were some really entertaining games. Excellent cast as always Winter!
TvT is crazy war of attrition.
17:42 The shade on Netflix. 😂
-Nice Beaver!

What zombie playing gold leaguer hasn't reveled in evaporating 150 supply of void rays with half as many liberators.
In 4v4 they're used a lot actually.

My God, that game 2 was like an episode of Game of Thrones but in the future!
34:30: VIP Cruiser
the sound byte when the fusion core hits. 11/10
Hey we're here to be entertained and The Admiral delivers.
GuMiho's unique kamikaze BC strategy is pretty fun to watch
31:55: Gettysburg
51:40 dam that tank line is brutal.
LMFAO "what would you do for more wood". Great commentary overall tho as always
Timberborn is indeed great, Also I really love TvT Always such a brutal bloodbath

Factorio with beavers?! I'm sold!!
Been playing Against The Storm myself :D
What skin is this? Reminds me of the old Wings of Liberty demos.

Commenting for the algorithm. But also for, "The workers are striking... at each other!" 😂
You should upload a mirror matchups every week. I love these.
Thank You
Om nom nom
We need to implant Cure with Alphastar to create the best SC2 player in history.
There was also the vampire trend- the sexy zombie
The most fun terrans to watch
I love Against the Storm
Always ready for The Admiral
🎉a better day for sure🎉

that last game though.
Lose eco, but keep army and win lol
1st game - gumiho should have added a few thors to complete his army
Hey I have that Carbot shirt!
"...Operational."
I think the general media trend currently is more post-apocalyptic than before

In TvT there is rock scissors game where:
bio+ghosts(nuke)+medivacs+tanks
We are on the time of the writers strike.

Did terran win??
Of course terran won, Terran is OP 😌
Finally a game terran has a chance to win.
We r in isekai times. And I dont mean just eastern aka anime media.
Avatar. Won't say no more.
Trend now is AI
Really hate to be that guy, but: it's fewer, not less when referring to the amount of things. Idk why this bothers me 😅
0.o
Game became shit with this patch....
TvT is boring unless one of the two players is gumiho or juanito by far most entertaining terrans to watch on TvT and most creative.
lmao gumiho def smurfs on ladder
Ravens make TvT so stupid
Stop zooming to a 20FOV. It's obnoxious to watch.
I can only watch TvT because it's guaranteed a Terran will lose ❤️
❤
