Great review. Thank you as I’ve just subscribed. Interestingly, converting the price we pay for the 3.8 in Australia it works out to be about 41,000€. Awesome value. I’m planning on waiting for the updated version with a refined interior and also an improved calibration and hardware to the adaptive suspension as I generally don’t buy the first edition of anything knowing the second will be improved based upon customer feedback. BYD Australia will also be offering a 3,000 AUD saving compared to the current model. Who wins? The consumer does with price wars. 👍😎🇦🇺
Great review! I've had that exact vehicle for 7+ months now - it's still tight as a drum and I've Ioved every second of it. Here in Australia it is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than all the competitors you mentioned so it's a no-brainer.
Yep. My soon-to-be-delivered Seal Premium here in Australia will cost the equivalent of £31,668. If this car isn't a bargain at this price, nothing is.
Ive gotten 159kw as the max charging speed a few times. Even though the max is supposed to be 150kw, seems to have a bit of wiggle room on it. Also the software seems like the original one. The bings, bongs and warning sounds are so much quieter after a few updates, definitely not as annoying as when I first got in in April 24. Great and thorough review.
I noticed the gorgeous rear lights driving on a motorway the other day & thought "What's that?!" The driver noticed me staring at his car when I passed him....which is a bit weird because it's usually the other way around when I'm out driving in my 2023 RS5 Vorsprung coupe! 😁
How about watching the full video? One mention of 20s, which admittedly I missed in the edit. But a whole section later on talking about the wheels. Nobody that watched the full video would come away with the wrong impression.
Very informative review. Appreciate all the details. Thanks

Hi is it also cheaper than Tesla Model 3? In Singapore BYD seal is more expensive 😭
i have had mine since Dec 2023 and love it and make any reason to go for a drive
Can't blame you, it's a fine machine!
Pick up mine Friday 8/11 can't wait, test drove the premium and that was quick, I think I'll be blown away by the performance version 😊

Seen a few around Drogheda, really smart looking machines!
Glad they didn't put the long-form logo on the back
Amen to that! BYD suffices!

Is this the 2024 model?
Anybody know where the paint colour code is located ?
is this Indigo Grey? Thank you :)
looks to be the Grey one yes herein Australia its called Shark Grey
I think it's Polar White, which has quite a heavy pearlescent finish to it. The camera doesn't do it justice sadly, and makes it look a little grey.
the rim size is 19"" not 20
Yep, mentioned that once, which i missed in the edit...but then spent a whole scene explaining the wheels and saying they're 19" 3 times.
This not new,2025 is coming
It is new, only on roads in my market for a few months.
19 inch wheels get it right
