Three of these cases might not have been suicide: Marilyn Monroe, Jean Seberg, and George Reeves.

El 8/9/1979, nueve días después de que desapareciera, se hallo su cuerpo descompuesto, envuelto en una sábana, en el asiento trasero de su auto, estacionado cerca de su departamento en el distrito XVI de París.
La policía halló una botella de barbitúricos, otra de agua mineral vacía y una nota, escrita en francés, dirigida a su hijo.
La autopsia le detectó un nivel letal de sedantes y alcohol en sangre, se estableció como probable causa del óbito, el suicidio.
Un año después, la policía francesa determinó que su cuerpo tenía un nivel tan alto de alcohol en sangre que no habría podido haber ingresado al auto por su cuenta, e informaron de que no hallaron restos de bebidas alcohólicas. Por ello, se estabeció que alguien debió haber estado presente cuando murió y no buscó ayuda médica, ¿quién?
El actor Ahmed Hasmi, su pareja, reportó que ella, dejó su casa el 30/8 y no volvió a saber de ella, hasta que fue hallado su cadáver 10 días después.
Muchas preguntas sigue generando también la relación que tenía con el que entonces era su pareja, Ahmed Hasni (29), playboy argelino de reputación dudosa, contó a la policía que trató de suicidarse en las semanas previas al hallazgo del cuerpo, tirándose a las vías del metro en la estación Montparnasse.
Aseguró que el 30/8/1979, tras salir del cine deprimida, dejó el departamento que compartían, en plena noche y cubierta con solo una sábana, 9 días fue hallada muerta.
Un trágico fin para la bella que Jean-Luc Godard inmortalizó en 'À bout de souffle'.
François Truffaut, maestro del cine francés, la definió como: "Fue la 1era estrella moderna del cine".

George Reeves was murdered by his lovers mob husband who kept her out of his way! George was gonna marry and make a big movie, no WAY HE took his life. Police evidence disputes that was well!
George Reeves was murdered by a married woman whom he had an affair with.
The FBI can credit for Jean Seberg's death.
Jean Seberg was hounded to death by J. Edgar Hoover. Read her bio on the internet.
Marilyn M. shouldn’t be on this list, cause most evidence points to homicide, not suicide.

That's a conspiracy theory. No foul play was found, and nobody swallows douzens of pills involuntarily. Also she was known to have depressions.

Agree. She was involved with JFK, then RFK. She put out a press release saying she had an announcement she would make. RFK et. al., thought it was going to be about her affairs with them, but according to her housekeeper, she was going to announce her remarriage to baseball great, Joe DiMaggio. DiMaggio sent roses to her crypt every year til he himself passed. Very sad.
I am pretty sure Robin Williams can be taken off this list too. Too sketchy circumstances.
You forgot Charles Boyer. He overdosed a day or two after his wife died. He couldn’t live without her.
Some of these are questionable whether suicide or homicide they couldn't follow up too well in those days. Marilyn should definately be taken off the list.

I watched this with sadness…so many young people wanting out. So each person, many I did not recognise, I looked them up on Wikipedia. This gave me a brief background to flesh out the face I’m looking at. I felt I needed to honour them in some small way. Also found the music very appropriate. Thank you.
And Jorge Reeves no one knows what really happened to him. He was the best Superman.

There are some on this listing that were very clever & unsolved murders.

That movie was recently featured on the free Movies channel.
I loved that movie. Too bad she took her own life 22 years later.
Some of these people may have been diagnosed with terminal cancer, something that causes a slow and painful death that many people don't want to go through.
That is so heartbreaking. It is bad enough that people die in any way, but suicide is perhaps the most tragic way to end a life, and most suicides result from mental illness and a host of other causes. If you are thinking of committing suicide or know someone who is even talking about suicide, please seek professional help at once. Thank you for shedding light on this terrible issue of suicide.

Jane Russell was a sex goddess who surprisingly was a devout Presbyterian. She sure did not fit my stereotype of a Calvinist. She lived a long life and was a blessing to many.

The curse of fame is that it can drive you crazy if you let it. People who "Live the dream" can be easily seduced by it. And the rude awakening comes when you realize that you will be famous only for a short time, but it's long enough to pick up some very bad habits along the way. And why not? It is, but it's not, your fault: that others long for the fame that you achieve and seek to profit by it. Or simply wish to share the ride with you without having earned their way. You have a gift of talent which you give on demand. As long as you can do it you are welcomed. But the day you can't because you are no longer beautiful, no longer handsome or you've become yesterday's news, you are out.
Peoples tastes change. You are in a business that knows that and controls it, And, if you don't adapt and change with it your opportunity dies too. One piece at a time.
Uh, Freddie Prinze? I was deeply affected by his death when I was a kid.
Bette Davis saw Peg Entwistle in a play in New York and was an inspiration to her. She was Brian Keith's aunt who also died of suicide.
The drug overdose ones are bit of a grey area whether they were suicide or not as a lot could be put down to accidental overdoses so not necessarily suicide per se. Marilyn Monroe is classic as it has always been contested whether it was suicide, accidental overdose or even murder. There are good cases for any of these verdicts. I believe officially it was put down to accidental overdose. But saying that she did make calls to friends just before she died which could lean into her having suicidal thoughts, but without being in her head you can never be 100% sure. The murder theory to me is the least likely, although possible with her links with both Kennedy brothers.

I was thinking the same about some of these listed as drug overdose. With Marilyn, there are so many unanswered questions and lots of theories! I heard that the ambulance picked her up at her house, and half way to the hospital, got a call from the owner Mr Shaeffer, telling them to return her to the house! Just one of many stories I have read lol
according to Michael Franceze, who was once in the Mob, stated that the Mob gave Marilyn a valium enema because she was going to spill the beans on them (as well as the Kennedys)

Though I think he should be counted with the others whose death was an accidental overdose. It’s been said by those who knew him well that Heath was suffering with insomnia after a heavy work schedule and was so overtired and desperate for sleep that he accidentally took too many tablets. He was personally happy in his relationship and had recently become a dad. He had a lot to look forward to.

I find this very sad and also worrying, how do you know that they all died by suicide.? Many families would not have wanted the public to know that, plus as everybody below has said Marilyn did not, I remember it very clearly, I think it was a tragic overdose, but the press blew it up out of all proportion re her knowing the Kennedys. Let them rest in peace..

No one else considers it sadistically ironic that a Woman such as Miss Jean Seberg who became renowned for Playing a French Martyr in a Biopic died Herself by suicide?😔B.W.
Nothing ironic, and "Saint Joan" isn't her most famous film. That would be "Breathless."
The most disappointing part of the recent film, Seberg, is not enough emphasis about why she took her own life.
Another person or people had to have been in involved her death. She could not have climbed into the car where they found her by herself with that much alcohol in her blood.

Carole Landis was a beautiful young woman who sadly chose to end her life with suicide. Marilyn Monroe was a beautiful young woman who sadly lost her life when she was suicided. Marilyn does NOT belong in this group!
