Similar to the killer in My Bloody Valentine. Love the costume, love the weaponry, love the creative kills, but the identity reveal and overall plot of the movie itself left a lot to be desired (IMO of course)

I think he finally learned it when he re-did all of his Friday the 13th Kill Counts this year. Allllll that behind-the-scenes footage he had to watch revealed the neck cut-out AND the trick of reversing the film.
Yeah, usually I hate sponsors in videos, but James makes it so entertaining when he's promoting a product. Also, most TH-camrs get greedy by having sponsors, despite their video already being monetised. The cemetery scenes were shot at an actual cemetery on Halloween night of 1980. The open grave used in the film was an actual open grave in the cemetery that was awaiting a funeral The film's shock ending, where the body of Carl grabs Pam, was inspired by the similarly shocking conclusion of Carrie (1976). Tom Savini considers this to be his best work. The house used for Major Chatham's house was actually a museum. The furniture in the house was all antique and the owners would only allow a skeleton crew to shoot inside the location. The film is named after an unseen character. There are several mentions in the film of a prowler in a nearby town on the loose, and the character suspect that he is the killer. Later in the film, Deputy Mark London learns that the prowler was arrested hours before, and that he had an alibi for at least one of the murders.

A New Beginning, love the new set design that Chelsea painted, also can't believe its been over 3 years since the start of dead meat, so glad to have been along since the first Friday the 13th. Slashers are nowhere near my favorite horror, but always hold a special place.
Yeah exactly! Slashers are personally my favorite subgenre of horror, and I completely respect anyone who doesn’t like slashers as much as I do. What I don’t like though is when people are way too critical of slasher movies. Like I understand if you don’t like them, but I really don’t think any of them are trying to win any awards, so don’t constantly complain just because it’s not the original Halloween 😂

Before the first game, Square was in danger of going bankrupt so they named their next game Final Fantasy, believing it would have been their last one. Instead the game became a massive success and brought them back from the brink. The name stuck ever since, and is very much appropriate for the games that are standalone entries with no sequels, prequels, or spin offs, such as FF8 and 9.

Cape May is a crazy interesting town. It claims to be one of the most haunted towns in America, and has a ghost story for practically every street. There's a ghost tour you can go on that takes you around the town on a trolley and ends at the Physik Estate. That mansion is very, _very_ haunted. There's a photo of a full body apparition that was taken on the third floor of the mansion, and it's where I had my own ghost experience.
Halloween did it but Friday made everyone say “ oh shit, they copied Halloween? Well let’s copy them too!” It’s like having 2 sets of doors selling tickets. Until one guy breaks away from the first line no one will follow to the 2nd door

That shotgun kill is the most impressive gun kill I have seen in a while! So cool! Reminds me of the mountain suicide from Midsommar because of how realistic it looked.

What's amazing about the "Dear John" thing is I remember the sitcom "Dear John" from the 80s, anytime I hear the phrase, the opening theme plays in my head. It was an entire sitcom based around the concept of a guy getting a Dear John letter as a breakup and rebuilding his life.
Noteworthy: the final girl Pam was on Another World back in the late 70s - she either dated or was the sister of Ray Liotta's (!) Joey Perrini. I cannot remember anymore which she was, but when I first saw this movie I immediately recognized her.
The guy she left him for would be refered to as a "Jody/Jodi". It happened to my dad and unfortunately (funnier now tbh)had this happen to him in Vietnam and the embarassing but was him walking around his camp asking his guys what exactly the word "platonic" meant....
George Lazenby (He played James Bond once back in 1969 and was a male model prior to that.) recounts a similar situation that happened to him when he moved to London in the early 60s to pursue a woman he knew named Belinda Fingleton, who had also moved to London, in the docudrama "Becoming Bond".

The bayonet through the neck was done the same method Savini used in Dawn of the Dead, that is cutting a niche in a real 1917 bayonet. The same bayonet was used in the Twisted Sister video Scream Until You Like It. When the movie was filmed, WWII stuff was easy and cheap to get for filming.
A "dear John" letter is also a common term for any letter sent or left at home that deals with a breakup. It's not just limited to soldiers stationed overseas. Granted, that could be because of where I grew up. May be less common in certain parts of the country.

This KC set, the 3rd one of the whole series used from The Prowler Episode to the Tremors 2 episode is my favorite out of all of the sets. I love the painted background!!
I love James, he’s a silly horror lover which shows the world that you don’t have to be dark and brooding to love horror, he’s amazing and I wish I could meet him at a con :3

He dipped his toe in 90s indie film (Sprung), mainstream horror (Children of the Corn) and made-for-TV movies and episodic fare. There's a documentary waiting to be made about this guy!

That shotgun kill is the most impressive gun kill I have seen in a while! So cool! Reminds me of the mountain suicide from Midsommar because of how realistic it looked.
I'm pretty sure the way how they got Otto's death scene is having blood pockets on his back and a firecracker to blow up and break them. But jeez, the BTS footage of that scene looks like legit snuff (coming from a person who has, thankfully, never seen snuff).

What's amazing about the "Dear John" thing is I remember the sitcom "Dear John" from the 80s, anytime I hear the phrase, the opening theme plays in my head. It was an entire sitcom based around the concept of a guy getting a Dear John letter as a breakup and rebuilding his life.

Noteworthy: the final girl Pam was on Another World back in the late 70s - she either dated or was the sister of Ray Liotta's (!) Joey Perrini. I cannot remember anymore which she was, but when I first saw this movie I immediately recognized her.
The guy she left him for would be refered to as a "Jody/Jodi". It happened to my dad and unfortunately (funnier now tbh)had this happen to him in Vietnam and the embarassing but was him walking around his camp asking his guys what exactly the word "platonic" meant....

The bayonet through the neck was done the same method Savini used in Dawn of the Dead, that is cutting a niche in a real 1917 bayonet. The same bayonet was used in the Twisted Sister video Scream Until You Like It. When the movie was filmed, WWII stuff was easy and cheap to get for filming.
A "dear John" letter is also a common term for any letter sent or left at home that deals with a breakup. It's not just limited to soldiers stationed overseas. Granted, that could be because of where I grew up. May be less common in certain parts of the country.

This is easily one of the greatest slashers ever. The gore and atmosphere are perfection.

I also love The Prowler, it’s fine if others don’t appreciate it but I think it oozes atmosphere.
Yeah, I don’t get what movie James saw. It easily has the best tension I’ve seen in a slasher movie. Yes, even more than Halloween. I was actually scared for the lives of the characters, which I just normally get sad when they die
