Thanks for this. Just a note on the Storehouses and granary.
1. They can’t store raw timber so the only place for this is in your logging camp. As a result there’s more benefit in simply creating a new logging camp and moving your workers as opposed to moving it and creating the supply issue.
2. The advanced tab allows you to further control what’s stored there (and importantly what’s not). This means you can minimise working triangles for processes with raw materials and prevent lots of needless journeys by workers. Also works for granary.
Still can't believe one guy made this
Tell the AAA game developers to take notes
One developer is efficient, 2 developers return 1.8, 3 developers return 1.6 and so on until you get -4 efficiency with 30 developers (even the maths is wrong as ten of us came up with this response). Not exact but a good illustration of why companies obsessed with chucking bodies at the problem don't move as fast and end up with poorer results
@@ronaldweaver7835They are too stupid and arrogant. Too bother to care
@@iaminterestedineverything As a person who's been in the game industry. There is a downward spiral that's become quite unfortunate.
While you're 100% correct with what you said, and "to many cooks in the kitchen" is a very real problem. It also is a problem with todays gamers as well. They expect new games to get pumped out in a matter of a few years. They think developing games is easy because COD and what not pump out new content so fast because of how many people they have working on it.
You can look at Starfield right now as an example.. to many cooks in the kitchen at first, but now their next big expansion isn't due until the fall pretty much a year after release, and people are scoffing and hating on it for taking so long, and thats just adding more salt to the wound.
So you often times in the game industry get this lose/lose situation.
So…can you do a beginners guide Dom? Pretty please, you’re one of my favorite channels
+1
Great video, but there are some things I really have questions about:1.) Some of my villagers got sick: how to you set up doctors or herbs? 2.) My village got hit with some theft from bandits, how to do you protect your town? Is there a sheriff ? 3.) What about Schooling? 4.) Rivers is one of the most important ways of transport goods is there an option for them? 5.) Is there a way to move you original camp to a better spot to start of our choosing? Thanks again for the video and I hope to see more of them.
Your Forage hut has an expansion. That green leaf adds an herbal garden to the hut.
@@olddangfool thanks for the info
Get your manor built quickly. Add the retinue unit once the manor is built to deter thieves.
Very informative video. I'm glad to see this early as it'll help when the game releases into early access.
Phenomenal Manor Lord guide! Excited for the next one!
Thank you very much. After I don't know how many hours of videos, this is only the second providing straight facts and information. I feel I'm finally learning the important points.
One thing I missed you mentioning is the placement of the Trading Post. I see that you must (always?) purchase a Trade Route with regional revenues, but I heard also, that if the Trading Post is built on The King's Road, there is no cost to opening a Trade Route. Do you know anything about this?
What I'm still unsure about is the best placement of Granary and Storehouse. From my understanding, if you have a Granary, all foods being produced will first go to the Granary, and from there be distributed to Market Places--preferably the one closest to the Granary. The Storehouse on the other hand stores all the non-food goods like Firewood, all the raw materials from clay pits, mine pits, and any intermediate produce which cannot be stored in the production building the iron slabs--I think it is--or clay blocks--I'm not sure of al the proper names--, and therefore they should be near the producing buildings. But then they would have a long was to the Trading Post or Market. Can you say something about this, please--also with regards to Farms, Granary, and Windmills?
Many t(h)anks in advance.
Build your treasury to buy additional Retinue (men at arms) and upgrade their armour so they become battle tanks. They don't cost upkeep , but are the slowest moving troops.
Really useful.
I watched one guide on this game and had to start a new town haha
Yup abt to after spending 17hrs on a failing town
Are there certain villagers more skilled at certain things (carpenter, weapon maker, etc) or are they all equally good at everything?
Maybe lets play series need the game to be released so folk can play along.
How can you assign people to burgage?
Manors sign the end of farthest frontier omg soooooo much 😂😂😂. So happy it’s in 2 dayssssssss 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Where is the let's play series? I don't see it
Im glad they made a Stronghold/Banished Hybrid
Check out Earth of Orin
Discord link no workie!?!?😢
isnt this just like farthest frontier, just with better assets/animation/3rd person option? sure some of the machanics are slightly different but just feels like its pretty much the same.
Similar, but the grid system in FF is a deal-breaker for some of us, I came from Foundation and I just can't build a medieval village to my satisfaction on a grid. ML focuses much more on an organic aesthetic.
nice video thers still no price on steam so thats a problem for me, while they claim they dont want to scam us i feel thats exactly what their doing by not setting a price. cant think of a game that ever done that and i have over 200 games on steam just a red flag for me even if its not a problem just my train of thought as a consumer especially from everything ive seen over the years.
Can we customize our own flag? 😮
Dom! the discord server link is dead!!! 😫 -TheBarleyBug
Many people are going to buy and download this game expecting just a point and click army game and not know the first thing about city building and survival do poorly and then bash the game because they feel it's broken.
There was supposed to be a manor lords lets play series? TH-cam didn't even push that throught, I would have loved it. :/
Sad you won’t be continuing the let’s play of Manor Lords
RIP
1:58 capitalism, baby? No even better: feudalism, peasant 😅
It funny I can't find anyone explaining how to get money early on
I know it's not on the main agenda for the developer but I hope they had brothels as apart of the entertainment buildings in the future. Just for historical accuracy purposes because even Frostpunk had this in their tech tree for one of the buildings. A tavern with a brothel and a bathouse, etc. Just more entertainment stuff in general if your kingdom starts to flourish.
Bandits you say? Hmmm, don't mind if i do!
40 hours????? OMG THAT'S HUGE. Mate sit tf down, they are rookie numbers.
cool tips, no need for the lecture at the begining, just a link to your previous video wouldve suffice.
Don't be too disheartend by your letsplay not picking up - I didn't even know you were doing it so it might just be a case of not reaching people
The game is released in a month? Wtf is this.
in 1 week
It releases this Friday for Early Access.
Ahhh my bad boys.
Thanks for removing the mystery of the game.
Lmfao 40hrs isn't even 2days worth
Aside w/the "Capitalism" Propaganda...it actually is Feudalism? You mention influence via defeating bandits, yet you say nothing about how to train villagers to fight. Just hire mercs?
