My country helicopter mechanics were amazed when they asked the Russian on what special grease to be used on various components to be greased in the Russianhelicopter. As usual with western aircaft. Specific grease for Specific components. They were dumbfounded when the Russian specialist told them, just ordinary grease will do.😮😮😮 The Russian specialist explained, the helicopter is designed for War and where to find specialised grease during war time? Ordinary grease will be just fine on Russian military helicopters.😅😅😅

Great start to the video. I really like the detail you were showing and the pre flight checked you were guiding us through as you went around. I must add from one fellow pilot to another. It’s a real shame you did not show the start sequence, as it just cuts to rotors spinning and engines already started. May I suggest the title of the video is altered as the reason I clicked was to see the start sequence. Closing that ramp was brutal. Yikes.
MIL-12 was the biggest helicopter ever built!
Verneige mich vor russischer Ingenieurskunst 👍👍👍
You would think that airfilter would have a vacuum gauge to check if it needs replacement instead of taking it apart
Hopefully everything is done manually...Bonjour de France !
Almost the largest. The monster MI-12 makes this look like a Mini Cooper.
Doesn’t matter if they start manual , still it’s biggest hellos in the world. No comparison.
Unverwüstliche Technik ❤❤
Klasse. Schön das zu sehen
Soviets got the most perfect performance out of much simple straightforward technologies, starting from vehicles upto space travels.
Awesome ❤
Awesome video! 😊At 4:48 see how huge is this helicopter.🙄 To be honest the biggest helicopter was the Mil V-12 ...but those were just 2 protoyps.
Incredible machine
Russian ingenuity beautiful piece of engineering
If it was American the cost would be 100 times higher than this Russian helicopter
You could not pay me enough $ to ride on that " Screaming Mimi"😂
I must give credit pilot milion moving parts. Lots of guts to take it to the air.
Marvel of Russian engineering.
Everything is done manually, and for a moment I thought they would also rotate the blades manually while flying.
