Blower Comparison Review: Specs & Power - ECHO PB9010 vs REDMAX EBZ9000 (Which is Best for You?)

- Green Industries compares two powerful and well-regarded blowers - the ECHO PB9010 and the REDMAX EBZ9000. The REDMAX is highlighted for being lighter and more fuel-efficient, featuring an autotune carburetor, while the ECHO uses a conventional carburetor. Performance tests show that the REDMAX outperforms the ECHO in both fuel efficiency and blowing power, running longer on less fuel and delivering greater downforce. While both blowers are similar in weight and warranty offered, the REDMAX’s superior ergonomic design with a more secure harness setup adds to its appeal. Overall, the REDMAX is presented as the more powerful option, though its higher price prompts potential buyers to assess their specific requirements before deciding.

Thanks for watching! Which blower is best for you? Leave a comment!
I’m an Echo 9010 fan but here to see the RedMax. I appreciate their innovation but that auto tune carburetor would need to prove out its reliability before I would jump ship and get one.
Was going to buy an echo 9010 but after watching your video i bought the redmax 9000. Thanks for this wonderful detailed video.
We’re glad you found the video helpful!
I have the Redmax 9000 and love it. It is very comfortable to wear, powerful, and after a few tanks of gas it really breaks in and is super crisp. After priming it is a 1 or 2 pull blower. If you want the residential version of the same blower get a 590bts.
The Husqvarna 590 isn't residential. It's the exact same blower with orange plastic instead of red.
@@colonelangus74 Agree they are the same blower, but the name Husqvarna is associated with and marketed as the residential brand sold in the big box stores. Redmax is sold exclusively in the equipment and lawncare stores that cater to contractors. You will not find Redmax for sale in the big box stores, but you definitely could find Husqvqrna and Redmax for sale at a contractor grade lawncare business.
I love both of these blowers, I find that the redmax really shines when pushing big piles of dry leaves. Although in wet leaves they seem about even.
Bought 9010 today. Stores with Redmax were closed. It’s a beast
Good review. It would be helpful to learn if maintenance is more difficult on the Redmax fancy carb.
Great video Main St Mower did the same test different blowers great video thanks for the info
Glad you enjoyed it!
We did thanks 😊
Great video, guys!
I have the echo 9010 it’s a great proven machine and reliable. Red max machines have a reputation for working one minute then in the garbage the next
I’d like to see Stihl do a rebuttal with an mtronic version. My bigger complaint about my echos are the cold starts, it’s such a pain. The 9000 would be good to pick up when they do their 15% off sales
I agree with you on the cold starts. The echo 9010 takes forever to warm up in the cold. I like my echo 9010 and I also have the 8010. They can get the job done fairly easily.
Had the Echo, bought the Red Max a few months ago. Max uses far less fuel, more power, but the new smart system carb and auto adjust needs some fine tuning. The chest strap has fallen off a few times, and a screw fell out of my handle on the blow tube. For $799, I expect better quality straps, and a more stable running machine.
Same thing happened to my handle on my redmax
Test new Husqvarna 590 BTS, please!
I have the red max 9000 and I love it
Great video. Its made me more confused! Based on feedback, Echo seems to be the more reliable brand. But the fuel efficiency and tank size alone of the Redmax more than makes up for the price difference. The fancy carb worries me a bit in terms of service. I still dont know which way to go!
That Redmax looks good, but I dont even want to know how much it is to fix/replace that ECU carb for WHEN it craps out.
Echoes 5 year warranty hard to beat 9010 for me.
That 5 year is not commercial warranty. Only Maruyama offers a true 5 year commercial warranty. All great blowers through as I’ve used Echo for a decade with no problems.
My question is what is Stihl going to introduce now?
Battery powered bull shitn
You're looking at 1lb difference in power maybe that is a lot for a weakling but not to a normal person. STIHL has a 41N blower Probably about 2 lbs less than the redmax. The power doesn't make sense for the cost. And 41N is still plenty of power.
Stihl doesn't care about being a top preformer, guys argue the 800 is better than the 9010. People will always buy orange because they think it's the best
@@jeffreykamke I mean Echo is also orange 🤣 but out of all blowers on the Market Stihl knows comfort
@@jeffreykamkeI have both 9010t and 800c comfort wise Sthil all the way but power I choose my echo I think with all equipment it is based on what works best for the person buying including dealer support and what works best in your situation
any chance you could factor in serviceability? how difficult is the carb to remove? pull cord change? that sort of thing.
Tried a EBZ 9000 and noticed surging at 1/8 to 1/4 throttle whe held steady in that throttle range. Also notice vibration at full throttle in the pistol handle. Otherwise a lot of power.
Interesting, I haven't experienced that, but I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the heads up!
Weighs more, not a close RM dealer near me, Echo has always been the best for us (reliability wise). To me (after taxes) nearly $200 more I doubt I will try the Redmax but I do like how they say it consumes less fuel...I will admit the 9010 consumes fuel like none other hehe.
And red has a bigger fuel tank. That means less down time refueling blowers, more up time producing revenue.
As a contractor the price isn’t a factor. You can buy either one after doing 2 to 4 leaf jobs. Go with what’s comfortable and reliable
Pb 770-h cant be beat for price performance quality ergonomics and reliability
I have 3 PB770Ts and they’re my favorite blowers because of how light they are. I’m not using my big ass 9010 for my daily mows lol
I would like you to check out the most powerful electric blower.
Stay tuned!
I have both and redmax is more powerful and sounds better and better fuel efficient and more comfortable and looks much better
I would buy the japanese 150$ not worth it IMO unless you are a contractor
Waiting for the Chinese knock off for a lot less
I have both and redmax is more powerful and sounds better and better fuel efficient and more comfortable and looks much better I have more energy to spend on my own blowers than my own gas tank so it gutter cleaning video on my channel and my gas blowers better for the gas ⛽️ Redmax back pack
