A lot of people seem to have missed Jeremy’s joke about ‘American guidance systems targeting Hammersmith.’

Ah but, @Bastien Merindol, you've forgotten platinum, haven't you? Of course we Brits only spell it that way simply to give the 🖕to those Americans, don't we?
We find it highly entertaining to see so many of them going into meltdown over the way that we spell certain words - especially when they have so-called Spelling Bees in the U.S.A. and we don't have them here in the U.K.
Of course the only reason that they have such Spelling Bees is to pass on their misspelling of a lot of our English words to their own children.

Just letting you know Connor, Soccer is an English word invented by an English man so it's not American, and you can now inform them that. Aluminium as part of the periodic table has all the ending letters to some words as "nium" all agreed as standard. American media writes this still as "Aluminum" even though they've already agreed scientifically it's "Aluminium" and thats why people get annoyed it's because its willfully being wrong.

It is about as far from genuine xenophobia as you could possibly get, because no one is spared. Sadly, we have a different culture now of so called "respect" for everything. Nobody can say anything, but I am not sure it is really making us more tolerant.

They sold french cars in the US long time back. Cars like Citroën DS, it had front lights which pointed the way the car was turning(not legal in the US as the lights had to point in the direction the car was pointing). It also had a system which made it so if you drove over a pothole you wouldn't even notice. And if the tire went flat, the car could lift the whole shebang up for easy access to change of tire. No need of carjack. Also in the TV show Caprica(a Spin off to the Battlestar Galactica 2003) they used this car to make the cars look futuristic.

I feel you on the soccer/football thing. I grew up calling it soccer cause that's what it was called while I was growing up here in New Zealand and now it's called football. I missed the memo on the change of name and when that happened. Now my kids correct me when I call it soccer 🙄 As if they don't understand what I mean ffs 😅
When I hear "Football" I immediately think of American football not ⚽️

Soccer is actually an English term to define the rules of the game. It's short for Association Football, as opposed to Rugby Football or American Football.

Actually he has no "filter" on him, he makes fun of everybody (every country on the earth). It is just a compilation about the US... don't be offended, it is actually not so harsh... the french, german, italians, japanese, koreans.... I could go on and on, they are all a target for him... and if you are wondering, yep the english get roasted to by him. He got cancelled after I think 12 years but got a new show on Amazon Prime. Don't take it personally, it it just his way of "commedy"

4:55 well the hill is more abrupt than it looks, and it's safer to make these sweeping turns that force the cars to slow down instead of making an abrupt downhill road.
and is a bonus for car people it's more fun to drive on lol.

If you get a lot of stick for calling it soccer, remind them that it's a British term not American ;-). As an abbreviation for association football, which is the real name.

Oh I understand that not only do you spell aluminium wrong, you pronounce it wrong as well. :P
Guess how it's spelled in Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, German, French, Polish, Latin (where the word originates from) and English? Aluminium.
It's not your fault, it's the whole idea of how things has to be different because 'murica is 'ceptional.
I'm fine with soccer though, doesn't matter at all but padded rugby really shouldn't be called football. ;)
