Based on the angry feedback it would seem to be better if these companies don't improve their products so quickly. Can you imagine if Samsung or Apple released a revised mobile phone every few months!? I think you should advise them to do more work and testing before rushing to market in the first place.

I couldn't believe when I saw the title: V2 already? I had to watch it immediately. Despite all of its flaws, the Tarsier is still the best split camera out right now and we get a new version! It probably should be V1.1, but hey, it's an improvement still. Thanks for the video!

The last video clip with you flying, was that in 4k? I am currently at 1080 but might try that 1440 with the superview. I'm afraid my computer would choke on 4k, LOL. By the looks of things I have the V2 but it came with none of the other goodies but it was in a BNF, the Cinepro4k
What is the FOV in degrees for the 4K lens? Doesn't look like you got much fish-eye, so perhaps that was taken out in post processing? Can you output the NTSC FPV video to a separate higher power VTX? This looks like a possible option for an upgrade to an old UAV (XK X380). Input V shows high limit of 12v .. does that rule out 3S battery? (12.6 - 13.0 vdc) Thanks .. looks good.
The V1 has an offset recording image on the HD cam to the right, compared to the FPV image, due to faulty cropping in the settings 2.7k and 1440p. Is this still the case in the V2 version?
Albert Kim I personally noticed this when I was wondering why my captured footage did not match quite exactly what I remembered seeing through the FPV feed and I could easily see this comparing the FPV feed and the HD feed side by side on the bench (FPV monitor vs. iPad App HD Live footage). As long as you're OK with the stock settings, you don't need to change them, however, you will need to format the SD card properly. It's easiest through the app. You can do it on your PC but I heard you need a special program. Sorry, don't know what that is.

The boards are actually very different. V2 has more capacitors and resistors for better processing I’m guessing. They probably re organized and found more room.
What did they change/fix in the firmware? Did they fix the 2.7k 4:3 that was squashed into 16:9? Does linear mode or stabilization mode work better or the same?

I had Tarsier interference with a GPS. I eventually got it to work, but required lots of tin foil to resolve and still never got a great signal with the Tarsier powered up.

Hi, on the specs it mentioned dual micro, but is there a way to get audio on the fpv feed? Can't find anything on that in the manual or pinout that gives where i should connect for that.
I got one since it seems pretty good, although it is just me, or is it recording at what looks like 720p or 1080p when obviously set to 1440p60 or 2.7k60? The video looks soft and I have to do a lot of sharpening to try and get out a bit more detail. I have checked focus and cranked the sharpening within the camera app.

Hi , i bought a tarsier V2 , powered it with usb cable , sucessfully cannected the tarsier to my phone with wifi , BUT i can t get the camera detected by the CaddxFPV APP. At this point i should see the enter camera button on the app but only get a conect camera button that does nothing , athough the camera is aready connected. Any help you be apreciated , thanks.

Your recordings always look better than mine. When moving fast and during manoeuvres I'm always getting washed out pictures and dark pictures while turning in and out of the sun. And also in bright conditions it takes forever till the horizon actually appears in the whiteout. I don't think my v1 could compare to any decent action cam. Some optimized firmware would really be nice, like runcam is at least trying with their cams.
Yes, I have it in my Acrobrat. It took some time to figure out how to get it to fit, but I eventually got it and that is my favorite micro quad to record HD with because it flies so well. I had to mount the camera upside down. Maybe I can do a short video about that drone soon if I get some time.
I just remembered that I recently posted a video about going to a mountain bike race, and at 2:00 and at 4:00 I briefly show my Tarsier Acrobrat, and at 6:30 I show flight footage from it.

Hi sir had a crash with my tarsier. The hd lens got loose and focus is gone. As u knw we can only adjust hd through mob app. Iam not able to get focus it looks good on mob with pattern check but wen i recod the see in big screen it looks muddy and like painting completly blurred. Starting around 7:30 of your video, there is dark patches at the top right corner. Ia that caused by the nd8 filter?

It's about a 10 degree increase and it's noticeable to me. Did you see the samples showing the houses? Both vertical and horizontal is wider in V2.

Hi Albert I've just received a v2 version and on stock settings 2.7k@60fps the image is not as sharp as yours seem very fuzzy almost out of focus.
The lens may need focusing.

Why do they make the nd filter cover both
Because the lenses are nearly touching and it would probably allow you to get an idea of whether or not you're under exposed

I think the color profile was very neutral so I color graded it. I think it looks nice now.

As I mentioned in the video, the FPV feed is the same as in V1. It didn't change. Only the 4K video changed. Pricing should be the same.

I don't think the firmware is available anywhere, and maybe on the lens, but no confirmation yet. I'll update the description later if I find out.

Yes, I have it in my Acrobrat. It took some time to figure out how to get it to fit, but I eventually got it and that is my favorite micro quad to record HD with because it flies so well. I had to mount the camera upside down. Maybe I can do a short video about that drone soon if I get some time.
I just remembered that I recently posted a video about going to a mountain bike race, and at 2:00 and at 4:00 I briefly show my Tarsier Acrobrat, and at 6:30 I show flight footage from it.
Yes, the Tarsier definitely fits in the Acrobrat. I've built two Acrobrats, both with Tarsiers.

Actually, the V1 board says PTV v1.1 and V2 board says PTV v1.3. It is right behind the on/off switch.

Hi sir had a crash with my tarsier. The hd lens got loose and focus is gone. As u knw we can only adjust hd through mob app. Iam not able to get focus it looks good on mob with pattern check but wen i recod the see in big screen it looks muddy and like painting completly blurred. Any clue how this can be solved?
