What’s beautiful AND cooks well? Swiss chard, of course! This nutritious leafy green steams up into a delicious side in less than five minutes. Tell us how you like it and what you serve it with!

I like it cooked this way, but with the dirt washed off first... or did I miss something?!

Just a drizzle of water would have been good to steam wilt the leaves uniformly tender... that is unless you love the crunch.

admittedly, only a little olive oil was used to cook this. New research is saying that Olive Oil should only be used as a dressing. Coconut oil would be healthier to cook at high temps. See Dr Mary Newport - coconut oil and Alzeimers.

How much of the nutrition is lost with the heat? Thanks.

Swiss chard has been on supermarket shelves for many years...its not new. Those of us who watch cooking videos Are most likely not strangers to swiss chard...and we know that, except for lenght of cooking times, all greens can be cooked the same way...with the same seasonings...EVOO, s &p, garlic, pepper flakes & lemon or vinegar if desired.

Also shd we always cook our green vegetables as they contain oxalates which can cause kidney stones?

what I find interesting and kind of funny... so far, most of the Swiss Chard cooking videos mention it's wonderful color and health benefits but NOTHING about how it actually tastes... and it's mainly cooked with onions and garlic... no butter?... so are they trying to cover up a bad taste?

This is not an English learning video, it's a cooking video. Also, "ain't isn't proper English. Get a life.
