Would be nice to see what ideas you have for centralizing all notifications within Zoho Cliq and or Zoho connect as many of us just think email is no longer a very productive tool for us to use.
I agree. My rule of thumb is that only important notifications to the users of the org should come via email (or better, a task with an email), then everything else can just be a signal (e.g. shows in the notification menu) or Cliq, but I find that if too many notifications come through Cliq they also just get ignored. That's why I like having tasks only for important "to do" things, then you only complete the task once completed. You can also "snooze" tasks using blueprints and custom views. I'll probably make a video on this in a few weeks when I'm back from holiday

I literally want to do the most simple function in existence but all these tutorials are trying to teach me how to code a massive functional application or learn every function in Deluge. I just want to click a button and have it change text in a Deal module field to "Yes". That's it....
I suggest you watch the tutorial, all the skills you need are shown in this video. You can increase the playback speed and then slow it down at the parts that are relevant to you. Good luck
@@ZohoExpert watched front to back. I’m just an idiot. But I figured it out from a few posts. The field updates with the requested text, but now the workflow rule doesn’t trigger. It triggers when I type the same word, but not when the button populates the field with that text. I canceled Salesforce because of how clunky it is, but I’m not doing too much better with Zoho.

Hi, yes, many ways to achieve this. But it depends on lots of factors. Where is the email being sent from? Zoho CRM, Zoho Mail, or Gmail/Outlook?

@fsqabr make sure when you’re code updates the record to populate the field you “trigger” workflows. See in my video where I talk about triggering
