soul singers invented this which are rooted from jazz blues. Aretha and Patti Labelle popularized this then whitney but Mariah Carey did put this in pop music default which ariana is one of the successor of this technique

I accidentally learned how to riff runs while laughing and talking at the same time and i keep memorizing the vocal chord pattern and slowing it down gradually. The key is it'll happen when you are being relaxed calm. keep it light and don't force it. Find your own sweet spot on nasality and feel you your soft pallet and how you masked it and also keep practicing to shape the vowel

totally unrelated question... but did you do myofunctional therapy after getting your braces off? Maybe it's just my imagination, but looking back at your old videos, it seems like the muscles surrounding your mouth strain less than before.. but yeah, just curious, and you look beautiful regardless and you sound like an angel😍

hi! so I doubt you would see my comment but is there something that determines if I can sing or not? bc everytime I practice, I never get better. so is it just the fact that I can’t sing or no?
You should be getting the right practices and vocal warmups, listen to a lot of vocal techniques and try to attempt it, try falsetto, vibrato and vocal strengthening videos and try it everyday
I think everyone can sing if they learned the right way and which is their vocal type. Of course some would sound a lot better because of their skills but you can see how diverse music is and people can rock what fits their voice type. Some types are more mainstream than a lot others that’s for sure

Too much talk not enough demonstration. Im still not convinced you master the runs yourself from what I've heard no offense.
I don't think I'm a master at these at all haha. 🙏Just wanted to share how I try to improve my vocal flexibility. The rest is up to you. But I hope someday you will master it and do way better than us all.
