Out of all other TH-camrs, YOU (by far) have the most thorough and well constructed vocal tips. I appreciate you taking the time to make these informational videos and I wish you the best in ALL your endeavors!
Your riff and runs exercises may not be as” cool and sexy“ as most other people now doing run tutorials, but they are BASIC and they WORK if you really want to learn how to do this other than just imitating the sounds that other “ cool and sexy” riff teachers out there sound like
He’s another success, story. Since doing your exercises faithfully, I can do these runs perfectly not everything mind you some songs are pretty complex and maybe the runs are excessive and unnecessary but for the most part, my runs are clear. You can hear me hitting every note going up and down the scale, and they are naturally incorporated into the songs, I’m interested in singing all thanks to your tutorials. Thank you thank
You really know how to make videos. Not only is instruction good but within the video you also promote a related video that builds on what you’re currently teaching
I definitely do not have this down, lol, but you're a very good teacher. You cover things that a lot of people on TH-cam are not covering which is very helpful. I think a lot of my problems with singing are deeply rooted because I never specifically trained. I just went from singing along to the radio to writing songs in my specific comfort zone and then singing in bands and never learned the correct way to do any of this stuff.
Excellent !! I have this solid however my speed is still slooooower than my goal. This is a fun skill to practice. I have switched my notes helper to our piano instead of using the guitar. I am realizing how much I was skipping the notes and having a lazy run and riff. Keep on keeping on. Thank you very much talented Ms. Victoria.
Great information! I love the fact you said that “ singers must know each riff notes “ 😊 ! And practice slowly . Step by step ! Thank you for this great video !!!🌷💕🎤💕

Hello 👋 I just found your channel and already watched some of your videos. I must say, I finally found the perfect vocal coach for me😅 your way of teaching is very easy to understand, thank you for that🤗 Also, just found out you're a Filipino!😁 (explains the great singing voice) I am too. I've been singing singing since I was 8 but never had a formal voice lesson. Now that I'm 36 I really want to focus on getting better at singing. I need to work on my support, vocal agility and I want to find my "own voice/style" where should I start? Sometimes I get overwhelm on what to work on first that I just get frustrated..Hope you can help me. Again, thank you for what you do and more power to your awesome channel! I'll make sure to share your videos🤗❤ ♡Liz♡

You’re seriously amazing!! You’re also so funny and a natural entertainer. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge and the way you do. I appreciate you and your channel so much. Sending you lots of love-as much as I virtually can! xxxx
I find descending runs are generally more difficult for singers because they get too loose. If ascending is harder for you, my guess is you may be pushing up too much vocal weight and/ or getting tight.
I was thinking the breathe had to be exactly the same through out the run, but then at 9:37, it seems like a bit of breathe at the start of every note. Is this the way I should be doing it? or should it be like completely steady breathe flow throughout? Thanks for your help Victoria!
Riffs & runs take very little air, but we never hold our breath. What you are hearing is probably the slight accent on the first note and the internal pulse. Practice it speaking first.
I keep coming back to this video and I’m insanely improving, I spent 4 years doing some exercises and they barely helped, I really want to thank you for these incredible exercises🤍

Hardest riff was in "for you I will" by Monica. I had to listen to it on super slow dozens of times. I eventually got it after hundreds of tries.

Hi I think that's very interesting😀
OMG I LOVE YOU LOL
Thanks for the fantastic video. I have a question though. Is it true that ascending riffs/runs are more difficult to sing? Any tips for that?
I find descending runs are generally more difficult for singers because they get too loose. If ascending is harder for you, my guess is you may be pushing up too much vocal weight and/ or getting tight.
Very hard to do it like Karen Clark
❤

Riffs & runs take very little air, but we never hold our breath. What you are hearing is probably the slight accent on the first note and the internal pulse. Practice it speaking first.
❤❤❤
All these examples and exercises were descending. Does all this apply to ascending runs and riffs?
Oh sure! In this video, I dissected a simple descending run. The same principle applies to ascending runs and riffs.
Hi Victoria, I fell sick and lost my voice but can't seem to regain it. Any tips?
Rest your voice, including speaking. If not better in 2 weeks from the onset, it would be best to see an ENT doctor, preferably a laryngologist.
How to walk down notes quickly, Like Karen Clark?
It takes lots of practice. Follow the exercises I give in this video.

Singing riffs and runs consistently well is a challenge, for sure! Start out slowly.
