    Fantastic video. I'm seriously considering selling my Hornady LNL press and getting one of these Lee 6000 presses. You gained a subscriber.

      Good morning and thanks for stopping by the channel Woody. Much appreciate your Sub.🙏🙏. I spent sometime looking at the LNL in action and it is a great press. Extremely sturdy with the on cast type construction of the frame. with the Lee 6000 you get an extra station compared to the Hornady but I would say they are more or less both on the same level. I am personally very happy with the 6000. Only issue is I don't get to us it that often these days. Take care and thanks again

      @@ReloadingMoreAD1966, mind me asking why you don't use the bullet seating die to crimp as well instead of a separate crimping die? Beautifully done video by the way.

    • @danya822

      I would presume it's for the reason many of us do...with thin or no coating bullets (PC, plating, lubed) since a seat/crimp die is still seating the bullet WHILE crimp is occuring, you can end up with rings of coating/lead that are forced up at the case mouth, which obviously causes headspace and debris issues.
      With separate seat and crimp operations, the bullet is seated to the proper depth first first, so that no scraping should occur as long as case mouth expansion is adequate. Since the bullet then doesn't need to move during the crimp station the potential issues is avoided.
      Not all combinations have this issue, some can seat/crimp without issue, some cannot. With six die positions, it's an option to do it this way that isn't really forcing you to lose another function.

    • @danya822

      12:36 you see what CAN happen with crimp/seat at the same time. Not always, but an example.

    Nice! i see you've taken my suggestion for the grimmnir case feed system, it's sooo much better than the stock lee system, cases tipping over with the old system.
    I see that your bullets seem to not to stay very straight? Since you're using the lee powder through expander die, i just wanted to let you know that lee is currently starting to produce an updated expander plug that has the lyman "m-die" style expander step that makes them seat nice and straight, currently they're still going through their old stock so i'm not sure if you can order one seperately (yet?)
    i also know NOE bullet molds in the US makes a whole bunch of different plugs for the lee powder through expander die in various sizes and widths to perfectly fit to different bullet sizes but they aren't readily available in europe.
    Personally i size and decap with no lube on my lee APP and then clean (if needed at all, with really clean burning powder i've been able to re-use revolver brass up to three times before i had any issues, mainly the PTE sticking) and simply have a redding or RCBS expander on station 1, i'm getting a lee short charging die to avoid any additional case flaring from the lee powder measure.
    I haven't seen maxam powders before, neither have i seen these italian cast boolits, what's the pricing on them like? My local ammo/reloading/black powder guy (who i cannot praise enough) now has ares bullets at really damn good prices (cheaper than plated LOS, which is usually the cheapest you could find around here) aswell as the german moly coated WM bullets for great prices but i'm always interested in good deals, especially on quality stuff...
    by any chance do you have any experience with bullets from "target bullets" also in italy? their three types of plated bullets are pricy by my standards but their hardcast lubed ones are seemingly very reasonably priced (and also *incredibly* hard at 23BHN, might be pretty good for full send magnum?)

      Hi Robin. Thanks for stopping by the channel🙏🙏👍👍. The Grimnir3D work absolutely perfect. No issue at all. About the new expanders I came across a video few weeks back and got to know about these new upcoming by Lee. The issue I had I solved after a few test. All need was just a little more flare. All work fine for now. with copper coated or FMJ heads even works better.
      Maxam was very common here in Europe but the company went bust a year ago so now it is hard to find. It is a great propellant and 100% clean as they get. Ares Bullets are great. I have used them before. These that I have here are as good if not better, Plus they cost less. I got the 9mm124 heads for $55/1000 and the 45ACP230 at $120/1000. Company is called PJB Polymer and they are mostly contactable via Facebook.
      Target bullets are also very very common here. I have used them in 45ACP203g but I had minor issues with say 1% not having a perfectly diametric ogive.
      Best, Copper plated ever used, in any caliber are the Frontier bullets from South Africa, but they are extremely expensive and hard to get here.
      Best FMJ ever used are from Fiocchi Italy. They are made to perfection in any way.
      Take acre and thanks so much for stopping by. Sorry for late reply. For one reason or another YT continues disabling the comments field for this clip.

      @@ReloadingMoreAD1966 55$/1000??? hot DAMN that's cheap!
      the .45's are pretty much in line with what my guy is charging me for 250 packs of the ares .45's though, but those 9mm's are definitely a steal
      the frontiers seem like a good option if i ever get a .44m desert eagle or something, they don't seem *that* pricey to me but if you compare the 9cpr 9mm vs 5.5cpr 9mm i get what you mean, they seem pretty okay on pricing for the bigger/heavier stuff though. Figure most of the cost is the fact they take equal amounts of equipment and worktime to make wheareas PJB seems to base their cost almost entirely off of the material cost?
      when you say the ogive isn't perfectly diametric do you mean that they're deformed or do you mean that some of them aren't sized to the advertised diameter on the box?

    • @ReloadingMoreAD1966

      Hello Robin. The ogives are mostly all according to specified diameter but every now and than you get a deformed one. with added coat, missing lead, added lead and so one. Take care and have a great weekend.

    I'm ready to buy a Lee Six Pack pro but I am confused on the brass cases preparation. For example, what else would I need apart from the Lee press itself if, for example, I were to save my brass after firing them at the range once? I know about the tumbler for cleaning them, but what steps do I need to take after the cleaning process and before putting them on the Six Pack Pro press? what would you use for depriming, etc.? thanks for the video

    • @ReloadingMoreAD1966

      Thanks for stopping by the channel👍👍. The press with the appropriate dies will have all you need to do the job. When it comes to the cases. I take the dirty cases, deprime them, wash and dry them, then I reload in the press. For depriming you can use the universal decaping die on a single stage press. Take care and have a great weekend.

    Wait if you get the 3 die set, doesnt it still seat the bullet and crimp it together? Is there an advantage to adding a crimp die seperately at the end? And say i do get the 4 die set, doesnt the 3rd die still do both? Sorry about that im looking into starting reloading soon.

      Good afternoon and thanks for stopping by the channel👍🙏. The Lee 3 Die set is sufficient and a 4th die is not much of a necessity especially on small pistol calibers. In short, you can never use the Lee 4th die unless the round has passed from the 3rd die. Take care and enjoy the weekend

      Bounasera Franco.

      That is correct Woody. This tool is specifically for testing the case because the OAL is not always exactly the same. The variations can be several as it all depends on the type of projectile, the design of the ogive itself. You need to verify this with the caliper. Take care and have a great day.🙏🙏🙏🙏🥇🥇

    You aren't expanding the cases enough. When seating the bullets, you are tearing the side of the bullet up. The bullet should sit almost perfectly in the case after the bullet feed station. Yours are all over the place. Screw your powder die down about 1/8th of a turn at least. Second, You are seating way too deep. I reload this round, with the same 230gn Blue bullets Co. and mine is nowhere near that deep.

    • @ReloadingMoreAD1966

      Good morning and thanks for stopping by the channel Will. As you might or might not know, this was the first run of the press. I have noticed the issue with case expanding die and you are correct, expansion was not sufficient and shaving occurred. I pointed this to a fellow member on the shorter clip of this press and also stated this was corrected following the production of the first lot. No issues with shaving the paint off following the production of the first 100 to 200 rounds. The projectile used is manufactured in Italy by PJB and I can assure you my rounds have the exact OAL required when using this projectile in combination with my 45 handguns. Since the creation of this clip, I would say that at least 9000 rounds have been produced whereby 7000 of them have been fired without any issue what so ever.
      Much appreciate your constructive and correct comment on the subject of flaring. Do take care and have a great weekend. 👍☀️
