you convinced me! I watched a few reviews yesterday and while they all said the MP145 sounded good, I was thinking I don't need another $140 iem, but it is a great cause, so i took the leap.

Had these for 1 week. rediscovering all my music thru new ears . Bass, soundstage and details are awesome but with a organic DD style of presentation. Good review and I recommend these.

That cable does look great. I noticed personally that there is a trade off between stage size and bass quality. Tight bass requires qood isolation and that reduces stage. Finding a good balance is challenging. Vented IEMs typically open up the stage a bit.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +4

Good point! Another thing is a lot of IEMs with a large soundstage position the stage quite neutral/distant, so they miss out on vocal and instrument intimacy which can negatively affect engagement The reverse can be said about IEMs that focus on mids and bring the stage too forward - (Zero Red) and they tend to have a very small/in-your-face stage. It's tricky to find the right balance.

I've been using these for 3 weeks and they're great - things are a little forward here and there that makes things stand out that didn't before. No sibilance, no harshness, can use them with TH-cam, PC or phone, mp3 or flac, EQ or no EQ, they sound good with anything. I use a V-shape EQ on them. They're detailed, lush, precise, emotional, bass is very separated. They're $159 USD now. It's a little heavy but unless you're exercising you wouldn't notice it. They're big and don't fit in my gfs ears. Accurate review. I use the bass filter with balanced tips. What's the difference between the mp145 and the S12?

@@filipbrzezinski2678 they're actually similar in many respects. The soundstage, while open for IEMs, is definitely smaller than the Sundara but that's probably the biggest difference.

Mine just arrived today, along with one of their dongle DAC/Amps.
They sound amazing, but I need to experiment with the filters and tips before deciding just how good it is.

Awesome review here. Could you help me with a purchase decision? Currently using the T3+ and quite enjoying it but would like to have an upgrade.
    My preferences:
    - forward and engaging vocal
    - treble not piercing or shouty
    - high quality bass
    - similar or higher quantity of bass as T3+, not a basshead though, just a bass enjoyer
    - overall better technicality than T3+
Genres: R&b, soul, Indie bedroom pop, hiphop
    I've also tried:
    - Moondrop Chu: Too flat and the bass is too low for me
    - Zero: RED (with the bass boost adapter): Better bass and less forward vocal than T3+. Overall not enough of an upgrade over T3+ for me
    These are what I'm considering:
    - Hidizs MP145
    - TANGZU x HBB Wu Heyday
    - Tripowin x HBB Olina SE
    - Ikko OH10
    - Truthear Nova
Ignoring the price difference, which IEM do you think best matches my preferences in overall? Or do you have better recommendations? Thanks

  • @Mageoftheyear

Are these as relaxed as the Tin T2? I know these are different classes, I just ask because I've heard reviews describe the T2 as chill, but in my own experience it's treble can edge into harshness.
The IEM I'm saving for is either the Moondrop Kato or the SeeAudio Yume Ultra II, but after watching this review I'm feeling seduced by the Hidizs MP145's transient performance - attack, stage and imaging are the most important to me.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews

I'm debating, as we speak, between the S12 Pro, Sennheiser ie200 and Tangzu HBB Heyday. From various reviews of the Hidiz, I'm scared that the focus is on the bass. The last thing I want when listening to a piece of music, is to have my attention drawn to one particular instrument or frequency. One TH-camr just spent the entire review on its bass. Would you say this is the case?

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
