The club went from generating 20 million per season before the takeover to 290 million due to fraudulent off shore sponsors etc owned by the owners. Not every huge club is run like this at all.

@@saewha 1) charges weren't dropped because of loopholes. Charges were dropped because the board of arbitration had deadlines for evidence which the epl and uefa missed.
2) the board of ar arbitration isn't able to get involved in this because the charges arent the same. This time its willful misrepresentation, a charge no team has faced before.
3) the epl have been threatened with an ombudsman last year and so they're keen to show they can regulate themselves. Rather than giving up their powers the an ombudsman.

Either way there are no loopholes for willful misrepresentation, it's an unprecedented charge and the real big issue here. It's one thing to break FFP l, it's another to do it, fraudulently cover it up and continue the same cycle lying about their finance.
