chris has got to be one of the best all around lead players in metal ever...he's got the talent, the look and MOST important....the swagger...i fucking love this band and this song is one of their best imo
Chris B plays the solos effortlessly it's amazing....like Vars said, he's even got time to nod and wave at crowd members.. sheer skill,i read that he used to play guitar 8 hours a day another instrument 2 hours another 2 and another 2.14 hours a day studying and playing instruments totalling him into a prodigy in playing guitar.
Chris Broderick just made one of the greatest solos ever look like child's play. I guarantee you could tell Chris to play any solo and he'll do it without even looking at his hands.
idk about the others, but i know why dave doesn't, he said it in a vid about how he was explaining where he got vic rattlehead from, somehow it lead to tattoos, i forgot how, but i still remember the quote clearly, and this is what he said. "i don't have any tattoos because i don't believe you should put a bumper sticker on a mercedes benz" what a fucking beast =D
It never fails to amaze me how many people say "he doesn't play it like Friedman, therefore he fucked the solo and sucks and will never compare to him." Broderick and Drover are and were respectively every bit Friedman's technical equal, even if they didn't play it exactly the same way. Their "mistakes" are how they interpret the solo and how they give their own spin, otherwise, Dave could've just hired a session guitarist to do everything if he wanted a carbon copy.
Friedman is untouchable in my oppinion, the fact that he is one of the few to succed a neoclassical sound mixed with heavy metal is amazing itself, and Borderick is amazing aswell but nowhere even near Friedman, don't forget Cacophony when Becker and Friedman were guitar partners.
This is a great lineup. I'm not a huge fan of Drover (I think Pitrelli was best tbh) but Chris and James put on a really amazing performance. Can't wait to see them live... better come to England again :P
Chris Broderick is amazing!, but i don't know for what reason i prefer to Glen Drover, i miss him, he play with incredible feeling, vibrato, etc... He was a real shredding guitarist during your stay in Megadeth... I like Broderick, and i hope the current lineup of the band not change...
best comment ive ever read on a megadeth video was said here...i can only paraphrase it, and i cant remember who said it but heres to ya buddy. "@ 1:10 they zoom in for backing vox and he's all >: / "
@Xmarmaras could be a number of reasons. Metallica was the leader of the thrash revolution, they became the biggest, and at the end of the day, more people recognize the name than any of the other big four. Not saying that Metallica is better than any of the other big four even though they are my favorite, I'm just answering your question. Though Metallica has kinda aged poorly over the years
i know i try to do that and i get fucking owned every time. it pisses me off because it's my favorite vocal part of any megadeth song, and it's the one i can't sing and play!!!
Brodrick is clearly the better player, but to be able to play and sing at the same time is unbelivebly difficult. especially when playing that riff at the same time (3:17)
that riff is pretty easy actually, really funky and its pure pentatonic scale stuff. But yes I agree with you, and that said I don't think I could do it...
rude awakening - meadeth's best drums interpretation
that one night - megadeth's best crowd
blood in the water - megadeth's best vocals interpretation
Live at Hammersmith - probably the best one
The vocals here are overdubbed
i love how broderick smiles and nods at the crowd while ripping away effortlessly at this epic guitar solo.
Broderick just rips this solo up! Such an amazing tone and SO clean!
There are just no word for how great that main riff is. One of my absolute favorites in music
this has now become my fav song this is beast and the touch was the beginning solo man that was beast the eight finger tapping
It's not really an intro, it's just something Chris is known for and was demonstrating to the crowd in the early days of him joining.
I think their next album will once again rock our world!
it's so awesome that dave's voice has actually improved over time. lolz
And Burton. He was the only man who could turn metal into a fucking symphony. RIP Cliff
best live version of the solo
chris has got to be one of the best all around lead players in metal ever...he's got the talent, the look and MOST important....the swagger...i fucking love this band and this song is one of their best imo

Chris is a genius! He knows when to personalize the solos and when to leave things be!
Chris, thank you so much for being in Megadeth...
AWESOME!
This might be my favorite solo ever.
i wish they would come back again here in DUBAI they rock
dude thank you dave. thanks :-)
lmaoooo Chris is insaaaane at 4:36 he's hey dude what's up? oooooooh snit hold up i gotta rip this solo apart!!!! MEGADETH.

Broderick is a f*ckin beast.
im agree with you
y love Lomenzo´s energy in stage
I love Broderick sweeps
Drover his kick ass fills
And Virtuosism of Mustaine!!
very very good song.
that fucking 8 fingers tapping freaks me out
it's fucking tasting
Chris Broderick just made one of the greatest solos ever look like child's play. I guarantee you could tell Chris to play any solo and he'll do it without even looking at his hands.
This is Best Megadeth EVER!!!!
damn!!! that solo from chris broderick was crazy......he is insanly skilled and does it with fucking easy.....it's mindblowing
The two people who disliked this video must be Metallica fans...who haven't realized that both bands kick ass!
what if they're foo fighters fans?
idk about the others, but i know why dave doesn't, he said it in a vid about how he was explaining where he got vic rattlehead from, somehow it lead to tattoos, i forgot how, but i still remember the quote clearly, and this is what he said.
"i don't have any tattoos because i don't believe you should put a bumper sticker on a mercedes benz"
what a fucking beast =D
He sounds badass!
3:16 it just fucking amazes me how he can sing along with this riff...
wow
yeah megadeth
i like chris's ibanez, they are great guitars
@AsWeCollideTV yup ...on the bass ,,,,
I knew Broderick wouldn't be able to resist adding a sweep onto those arpeggios (4:09) . tricky solo to play, he does it flawlessly.
It never fails to amaze me how many people say "he doesn't play it like Friedman, therefore he fucked the solo and sucks and will never compare to him."

@metallicanum1fan That's a phenomenon called DAVE MUSTAINE!
what a live performance
wow, what a perfect solo...
can everyone please stop complaining about whos the better guitarists, they all have different styles, just listen to the goddamn music and enjoy it
yeah Schuldiner was magnificent... R.I.P
Chris made that solo his bitch damn we will have a new masterpiece coming later this year can time speed up so we can get it already i'm dyin for it
Of course.
Anyone else thinks this is Megadeth's second Golden age.
The solo was improv in the studio.
This Solo played by Broderick is the best i've ever heard without taking into account Marty's... In my opinion...
Iggy pop playing the bass?
brilliant solo
@a1ontherun just to clarify, you were saying that Marty is "Yngwie-ish"? If that is the case, I sincerely and majorly disagree.
Hehehe IMO the best lineup xD!
I want more Chris solos in the next album!
Lol oops meant DeGrasso... Mustaine - Friedman - Ellefson - DeGrasso was my favourite lineup.
See You Megadeth in Greece at 24th of June
(I'm wandering how mustaine let metallica be headliner?!?!?!)
Well said "mikeman117933". I agree with you 100%.
simple because hes better than other thrash metal guitar/vocal
This is a great lineup. I'm not a huge fan of Drover (I think Pitrelli was best tbh) but Chris and James put on a really amazing performance. Can't wait to see them live... better come to England again :P

U jst gotta love Lomenzo's energy :)
chris broderick is a big guy like wow hes stocky as fuck hes actually pretty jacked its funny
In my opinion This solo played by Broderick is the best i've ever heard without taking marty's into account
best comment ive ever read on a megadeth video was said here...i can only paraphrase it, and i cant remember who said it but heres to ya buddy.
"@ 1:10 they zoom in for backing vox and he's all >: / "
i love how broderick can play friedmans solo perfectly
OMFG Broderick is a Beast !
dave and chris kick ass !!
Mustaine, Broderick, Junior and Gar Samuelson would be an epic lineup... to bad gar's dead...
some vids it is his side that is weird but then others it is glen/brodericks
0:46 This riff is fucking kickass
2 Personas han sido voladas por el tornado de almas !
Fucking awesome!!!
Is there a recorded version of the intro? The studio version (Rust in Peace) doesn't have an intro and it's pretty clearly missing.
can't imaging how marty friedman compose this solo .. great solo
no now it is wth david ellefson back
Dave's guitar is fuckin' SEXYYYYYYYYY
@SeattleMonster86 like Al did? IMO he was great
I tiered to see this songs live..
Megadeth could change a letlle bit the set list
American Carnage Tour: Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament
...jizz...
met chris and Shawn and jr.
@metallicanum1fan He wasn't even looking at the guitar... o.O
el nuevo guitarrista esta muy bueno !! el mejor suplente de Marty.. y este tema es de la puta madre !!
I think Chris Broderick is great, he should play the bridge pickup to sound exactly like Marty
@acdc4life16 amen
mustaine , shuldiner (rip) and jeff waters are the greatest composers of metal .
and dimebag darrell!!
wtf man this is insane
Dave doesn't play ESP anymore. It's a Dean VMNT.
@metallikdoors
1.) he wrote the song.
2.) he probably played this one a billion times.

Love using this song when working on finger dexterity..not saying im that good though lol both broderick and mustaine kill :D
What happened to mustaines side on your vids?
brutal
@hercholand así parece!
Tatto all of their songs lyrics on your whole body. That's what REAL MEN do.
