I just want to say thank you you have been a great help to me I'm 55 years old and I just bought this piano and I have no clue and you have been a great help to me
Thank you so much for figuring this out. I would have never been able to do it. As the father of a 10 year old pianist it's hard to keep him motivated. It's things like this that can make a difference.
It is kinda loop, but in reality it is a style. So you should use 4 sections, all a bit different. Then you can play along your main instrument changing the cords etc. It is a really cool tool :)
Hey Alden is there a way to lay down a quick bass line for just a few bars and then have it loop (repeat) over and over indefinitely until I stop it? This would be good for composing melodies over the bass. And I don’t want to have to press a zillion buttons to do this or record a bass line for five minutes for each new one I create.
Another trick you could use this may be a little bit too much for the tutorial that you are running right now, but what you could do is switch your metronome to run in eight time instead of four times instead of doing 44 time you do 48 time that way it clicks on eighth notes that way if you’re playing 16th you just play right between there and you’re not worrying about quantize mess you up
Yeah that was my bad I forgot to explain how to save it. I made a community post on how to do it about 3 months ago but Unfortunately I can’t send you a link straight to the post so your going to have to scroll down my community page on my TH-cam channel to find it.
I have been loving this feature! Thanks for showing how to use it. Just curious, watching some of your other videos, I was wondering how you learned piano (books, youtube, lessons)? Thanks again.
Nice work Aiden, but i noticed you looped in the key of D (i think). I always created styles in the key of C, because when you play the loop live and change chords the key will follow you so a melody can be played with the loop....Is this video different than style creator?
@@Aidanbolling8781 Kinda reminds me of some kinda trance...I guess I'm "old school"... I like creating styles for particular songs by creating with an Intro, variations and ending...
Is it possible to connect to the computer and find other sounds I can play like syth sounds? This would allow me to not have to buy other keyboards just to get more sounds. The DGX-70 has the perfect feel in the keybed while other ... light weight keyboards like the Yamaha MODx series and other light weight models from other companies like Kurzweil have a knocking sound in the keybeds. The lightweight is not worth the thump, thump, thump. I love the quiet thump on the DGX-70 and it feels like a real acoustic piano. I just want to get at some of the syth sounds that the DGX-70 lacks. Thank you for your help in this.
I hope to have a DGX-670 within about 6 months. I will be using it to, hopefully, create some cool original music. I think that your vids on the DGX-670 will help. So I subscribed.
@@Aidanbolling8781 Thank you. I've been wanting to get a DGX-670 for a while. Got a PSR ew425 in the meantime just to get back up to speed on some stuff and save some ideas. I'm shooting for early 2023 to be able to be able to afford the DGX-670. I should be ready to dive right into it, as I'll be checking out your (and others') vids on it in the meantime. Had a Casio Privia Pro PX560 for a while, which I highly recommend. Had to sell it a while back. I'm one of those perpetually underfinanced wannabe artist types. Anyway, looking forward to the DGX-670 and learning everything you present in your vids. Will no doubt have some questions to ask you. Best wishes in growing your channel.
Very informative video thank you. But I have a question. When I play on all eight tracks and record the loops and then save it. I’m only able to hear rythm one and two when I play it back to myself, do you know why I can’t hear, bass, chord1 and 2 or the other tracks?
I have a DGX-670 but don't understand much of it all. I was trying to move a voice set-up from one memory location to another, and could not figure out how to do it. One guy says you can get the strings and pad voices to sustain with the pedal, but I've never been able to get it to do that.
Hi. Many thanks for the tutorials - VERY helpful. Problem..... When I save multi-tracked songs I have created onto usb it sometimes works: the song appears as a midi file, with the two-note icon, and when I return to the usb after turning off the keyboard the file is still there and accessible. But recently when I do the same save process (I think!) the song is shown with an icon that shows a picture of the last instrument I used, and it does not remain accessible on the usb. When checking the stick on a computer it says that file is saved as an swv file. Why am I getting this difference?? Any help VERY gratefully received. Thank you
Don’t worry it looks super overwhelming at first but you’ll get the hang of it! If you don’t know how to do something or want to learn more about the DGX-670 I have a playlist dedicated to teaching people how!😀
Yo I know this is an old video but I would appreciate someone’s help. When I select a track to record on my sustain pedal no longer works and I can’t find a fix
Could you do the loop again with a well crafted simple piano piece by William Gillock, Catherine Rollin, or Christian Bennedsen and record just the right hand or the left hand and then loop it so a person can practice the other hand.? It might be more clear how the looping works and somewhat less complicated to set up. The loop you did seems to just use two chords, over and over, so it's not a very musical loop. You can find these peoples pieces with the sheet music by searching on TH-cam.
That’s the plan! In the mean time I do have a playlist of How-To videos for the DGX-670! Here’s the link😁th-cam.com/play/PLe-q48gF1dc8JomvfxgXGRb1qAkLYfnJP.html
The tutorial is much appreciated, but would be smoother if you avoid "what were going to do next, is were gunna go ahead, and what were gunna do is, were gunna press..." and instead say "Then press...."
Thank you guys so much for the support. It means a lot❤

Hey there Riff, I'm thinking about buying the 670 and appreciate😀 the time you took to make this.. new subscriber

Happy I could help
Very informative tutorial, thank you so much for taking the time to create it. I look forward to more of these helpful videos.
Would you consider doing a menu tour video of the DGX-670?
@danielmilitello4795 That’s not a bad idea! I’ll try and see if I can make a video on it!

No problem🙂 Started out watching sheet music boss when I was young but I’ve been taking private lessons for 5 years now. 😄
@@Aidanbolling8781 Very cool! Keep it up. The lessons are paying off. Might be about time for me to find some lessons myself.😎
Is it better than Kawai ES100? I was thinking of buying the next model 101 or 102 tho i have already a PSR EW310.

Technically it is style creator but I was showing how it could be used for a different purpose
The goal was to teach someone how to do something similar to this th-cam.com/video/ATwpzZnspMY/w-d-xo.html

@@Aidanbolling8781I was wondering which Organ sound is the nearest to the Hammond organ on the DGX.670, great videos, great help, thank you.
Very good insights. Could use a more basic tutorial that shows all the capabilities of the keyboard. New owner of the dgx670.

Is there any way to just play ready made drum patterns on the DGX? I can't figure it out if there is anyway to actually do it.
Hey Aidan, I have a Boss RC looper which I use with my guitar, can I connect it with DGX 670. ( or any guitar pedal in general )
You rock….I will be following you. I love the way you explain this…I do have the same model.. I am into sequencing… hope we can chat…
Hi is there a way to connect my camera and record a video of piano and mic into the phone? Usb doesn’t seem to work. Thanks
Hi. When I select a rhythm accompaniment, only automatically adjust the BPM or changes the keyboard sounds too? Or the sounds I need choose manually?
Any idea why the pitch changes when you record on a channel and then turn “record off”?
Please keep going. W❤
Is there a way to copy sections ? Ie copy Section A to Section B rather than play it all again and edit the various parts ?
Well done!
And can I have that as a default setting so that it always plays the piano speakers as a monitor and setting it to the PA system
Yes you can! th-cam.com/video/tBifOj1kmWY/w-d-xo.html

can you play back a wav file from usb
yes
How to set up the split with the left hand has no audio just please chords

Can you make a three-minute song and edit it?
This piano does have a mixer/eq system so if your REALLY dedicated you could. But I’d recommend getting a DAW, its not as convoluted 😅
