- Today I check out the First SUV from Maserati! The 2017 Maserati Levante S! Such an amazing SUV based off of the Ghibli! It has a lot of fantastic luxuries, technology and great performance! It has a smooth ride and I'd love to be able and check out it's offroad performance! The interior has plenty of space and very nice materials! The exterior has a great look based off of the Ghibli and just has a larger scale to everything being in an SUV form. It's a unique SUV that definitely sets itself apart from the competition!

Love all the negative comments from apparently all the people who couldn't afford to buy this car. Especially love the guy who said it's all plastic. My husband just bought me a 2018 trading in my Porsche Cayenne....This car is beautiful...the interior is amazing in color combination of the dark gray and dark tan leather. Tons of room both front and back seat. Touch screen way easier to use then the Cayenne....Ferrari engine is amazing along with that great Ferrari exhaust sound while in the sport mode. Very reasonably priced for what your buying...For the people who commented how ugly the design is...It's an SUV...basically don't they all look the same....I didn't read all the comments but was happy that no one mentioned the Lexus SUV which people seem to think is the end all be all of cars....Maybe because I'm Italian and we also own a Ferrari and 7 additional cars...this car is elegant and you might be buying it for the name and the reputation of Italian made sports cars but what is so bad with that?

Had one of these pull up next to us at a red light the other day, i think the lady driving it saw us mirin that on green she hit the gas hard. The car sounded great and that my brother and i were both like "whoa wtf" since we never seen or heard one before in person.
Just got one last week for $30K it’s a sweet ride for sure

Just returned from Torino Italy and toured the Levante (pronounced LEVANTA) factory and test drove this magnificient SUV. Definitely go the extra EUROS for the BAD AZZZ S

Connor Robertson Do you recommend it over a RR or Porsche? We have 2 Range Rovers (2007 and 2011) and they are very good vehicles but we want to sell the 2007 and buy a Levante S. Sport wise, is it faster than the Range Rover Sport?

when you start the car with the key does it shut down again when you approach it and unlock the doors via keyless access? i know mercedes does that and it is kinda annoying i wish it would just keep the engine running when i approach it to sit in and drive😅
This one, you just have to tap the start button once inside. If you tried and revved it it would shut off

Maserati is part of FCA (similar to grand cherokee).
in Europe, the Grand Cherokee is certainly not a cheap car, here it starts from € 56,000 and the Grand Cherokee SRT has the same price of Levante 3.0 V6 S, € 91,000.

for a 100k car the interior shares some things with my jeep cherokee that costs 40k. I would have expected high level materials and buttons with a very beautiful infotainment system.

Looks like a grand Cherokee with the buttons and stuff inside the car you can tell it's related to a Chrysler product right away very nice though . Those rims resemble the new new srt spoke wheels ! I'd rather buy a new jeep srt over this anyway.

It’s a very beautiful SUV! My main complaint is there are too my Chrysler buttons and switches. You don’t expect that for a vehicle at this price point.
That's a good point. Most of them carry over a lot of the buttons, just makes it easier to make.

Maseratis just don’t hold their value, nothing suspicious, just how it is! You can pick them up fairly new for not much!
That infotainment system interface looks so old and low class for a $70K+ vehicle. The whole car design looks something from 2012. Leather stitching is something you have to pay extra for, so it's nothing special.

Reester _97 I'm sure it's nice ride man. Just not for me. I already have a boosted grand cherokee. So to me, I wouldn't spend the money just to say I drive a Maserati lol. Especially if we share so many similar parts. Takes away the "luxury" feel for me.

Chose Cayenne over this in September
I waited for the levante and it was so disappointing.
1) Cheaply built car. Doesnt feel at all premium with the plastic buttons, and the layout. Throwing leather on a car doesnt make it premium.
2) Back seat is smaller than Cayenne.
3) Driving is subjective but this car was heavy, and didn't engross me the way the cayenne did.
Huge disappointment considering Maserati came so late to the SUV market.
Even the looks are poor. You could mistake this for an Infiniti.

TKD Canadian its up to you lol. Range Rover Sport and Cayenne are both amazing. Far better than Levante. I feel like maybe they'll fix the levante in future model years. Its never good to be an early adopter of something new.

Not even close the apart from the infotainment system, which is very good nowadays and a few buttons everything else is different. VW Audi does this, Chevrolet Cadillac does this, Honda Acura does this Toyota Lexus does this, Nissan Infinity does this, Ford Lincoln does this, Hyundai Genesis does this. Everyone does this.
